We visited Tenuta il Palagio several times during our holiday in Tuscany.
Our first visit we stumbled upon this gem and realized the pizzeria that's on property does not open until 5:30. We were quite early so we visited the farm store and purchased several bottles of wine. The brut and the "message in a bottle" red. We enjoyed this later at our Airbnb that was located 20 minutes for the location.
Our second time here, he enjoyed drinks at the bar area and 2 dessert. The chocolate flan reminded me of a chocolate lava cake and the apple tart was pretty fantastic. While there on this visit, we made reservations for the following day at 7 pm.
We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and had an additional person. The presumable manager very quickly adjusted our table to accommodate the 4th person.
We ordered the meatballs, spicy chick pea balls and the charcuterie board (can't recall what it was called) for appetizers. Everything was amazing, but the board had every component nailed. It was absolutely delicious. We also ordered pizza, each were delicious, but I really enjoyed the Bianca. Lastly, for dessert we ordered the cheesecake and apple tart again.
This was our favorite meal during our week in Tuscany. It appeared as many others walked here for dinner with their families and seemed to be a staple in the area. read more
