Hands down, the best Mexican food in the area. The quesabirria tacos are a perfect 10/10, and the coleslaw on the fish tacos is absolutely incredible. Every taco we've tried has been outstanding. We've been to several Mexican restaurants nearby, and none of them come close. This was a major FAIL! I had their prime tacos trio. I asked how much meat is inside and what's the size of the tortilla. They showed me their miniature 2 inch size and then a larger size and said it's the larger size and each taco has 2.5 ounces. So I paid $31.00. It was not worth that much. I went back to the worker and told them this is not the large tortilla as he said and there is hardly any meat. He has to go back to the cook and they said that's how they make it and that the worker gave me the wrong information. I asked if I can get their asada fries instead and get refunded the difference. They said no they can give me the fries at no cost. To not want to refund was wild. read more

Stopped by Tequileros Taqueria today to check it out, but unfortunately didn't get the chance to try the food. I was told there would be over an hour wait, which caught me off guard since there were fewer than 10 people seated and already eating. There were quite a few people waiting around for mobile orders, and I noticed some others walking out due to the delay as well. Not sure if they were understaffed or just having an off day, but the wait time didn't seem to match what was going on in the dining area. While in Roseville we were recommended this taqueria. I was told the other location was great and the food was delicious. I wanted to like the food, I really did. I ordered a super burrito, asada, no beans. My wife ordered the asada fries, other family members had fries and burritos also. I'm tough on Mexican food growing up in San Jose. I've had Mexican food my whole life, all over the Bay Area! My asada was dry and salty! The rice was dry and the whole burrito was just not it. There aren't many burritos I've left uneaten. Asada fries presented well but the story's the same! Salty asada and undercooked fries! Really undercooked, like they sat in warm oil for 5 min then plated. The facility is nice and new. Maybe was an off day because I'm still told that they are that good. Maybe we'll give them a try again some other time and update from there. read more

We ordered the five asada tacos, one pastor, and one shrimp. All were very delicious, the Asada was our favorite. We also tried both the mild and hot salsa and both were tasty. The hot was a more roasted, peppery flavor and wasn't hot so that was great. The chips and salsa were so fresh and were the favorite part of our meal. The interior is clean and we loved the decor. Inside vibe is cute. Would be a great casual date place. You order at a counter and all the staff were great. The guy taking my order recommended the "tequilero" style. I got the asada, pastor, and shrimp tacos along with a single quesabirria taco. The guy said that it wouldn't come with consume, but it did so that was a bonus. Overall the tacos were good. Great modern American Mexican food. I thoroughly enjoyed the fries and shrimp tacos. The fries were filling enough on their own -- you don't need more honestly! The tacos were well flavored -- I would say mix more modern Mexican than traditional Mexican street tacos - but the grilled onions and peppers were an amazing touch & delicious. The burrito was pretty oily, but tasty. Seating was fine! You order at the counter and they bring you the food. They accidentally gave us a wrong taco and brought us a new one, which was nice. I was so excited to see a taqueria restaurant come to Roseville! I had heard really great things and was so excited to try it out! The service was great, lots of spots to sit , and high chairs provided for little ones. I am bummed to say that overall the food was just ok... I ordered 3 street tacos (chicken, asada, carnitas) chips guac & salsa, carne asada fries, Jamaica water, and birria tacos. The chicken tacos lacked flavor, the asada and carnitas were better on the flavor scale however didn't blow me away. The carne asada fries's fries were soggy and the asada was mashed so much it almost looked like ground beef. The side of salsa in the chips and salsa was tasty, however the guac tasted like only mashed avocados and lacked flavor like a true guacamole should have. For eight dollars this truly fell short for me. The Jamaica water & birria tacos were my favorite things here. I would come back for these two items! Why do some businesses post pics better than their actual food looks. That sets us up for unrealistic expectations when we get the food. You can see my pics I shared. I really wanted to love the place. Their Sacramento location has so many good reviews and food looks so good. I was excited when we got one here in Roseville. I tried them out when they first opened, unfortunately not impressed at all, and also they forgot to give us any salsa. I saw other people commenting they forgot few salsa frequently so just a heads up to ask. Since they just opened, I figure I would give them another shot later. Give them a chance to gain their flow. Welp, here is the second chance. Failed again. Plus side, they remembered the salsa since I requested when I ordered , and then asked again when I picked up the food. Carne asada fries, some of the potatoes were hard and undercooked. My chorizo super breakfast burrito was super dry and basically all potatoes. See my picture. It was sad looking. Chorizo gives off a nice flavorful oil that coats everything else in the burrito, I don't like mine super oily, and that's usually a complaint I have at other establishments, but sheesh.. where was the chorizo?! Where was the eggs? Sour cream, cheese, tomatoe and onions salsa.. nothing that the description said. Literally all potatoes. Excited a new taqueria opened up where chandos used to be. This is a chain taqueria that is fairly new with locations all around the Sacramento region and one in Southern California. The decor is very modern and they have your typical tacos, burritos, nachos, fries and even Tortas! Their carne asada burrito was delicious and they packed a lot of meat in the burrito and toasted the outside tortilla as well. You do have to ask the front for salsa and they give you very tiny portions of salsa at a time and no free chips. I do recommend the tequilero red sauce for anyone who loves spice. The creamy salsa verde was also delicious and mild in heat. Al pastor fries came with a lot of meat but I was disappointed in the fries themselves. They were skinny fries and didn't add much to the fries as they became soggy so quickly underneath all the sauce and cheese. I wish they used bigger fries or fried them a bit crispier. So far so good. My first visit here didn't play out well since they were closed, though their hours were posted as open. The exterior can be misleading because of the scented windows so just be mindful if you think they might be closed when they actually. So far, I've only tried the quesabirria tacos and they were pretty solid. I liked the grilled onions and jalapeños that came with it, although I asked for that hot spicy version, but didn't get much of a spice on the Scoville scale. This is where Chando's Tacos used to be so we had high hopes. We tried to come for the grand opening but the line was way too long. We finally made it back today and the line wasn't long but the food took a long time after we ordered. Granted, it was busy but they may not be ready to handle the Sunday lunch rush crowd. I ordered the asada burrito tequileros style and a pastor taco. The burrito was flavorful with the cheese flavor hitting at the end of each bite. It was super juicy so it can be a bit messy but it's worth the mess. The pastor in the taco had the right amount of spices but it wasn't spicy (hot) at all. I was happy with the food. I had to take one star off because the food took about 20-25 minutes to be brought to our table and when the worker delivered our food, she spilled water all over our table and into BWE's lap. Obvi, she didn't intend to do that but it was not a good way to start our meal. By the way, the cup of water was not in an unusual spot but was just in front of my daughter who was sitting across from BWE. We might return so I'll update if it gets better. read more

Not a great first impression. I placed an online order for pick up and arrived a couple minutes early so it wasn't ready. The girl behind the counter asked if i was there for a pick up and I said yes so i sat at the little counter with stools to wait. 15 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready I go up to the pick up counter and there's my order just sitting there. No call out from the cooks no nothing so i grab it and leave. Paid $8.50 for chips and guacamole got about an ounce and a half of guacamole. Pretty ridiculous. The chips are homemade and were the best part of the meal. None of the burritos were marked so we had no idea whose burrito was whose. There was supposed to be sour cream in the burritos there was none. The burrito was dry yet greasy, not sure how that's possible but it is. Won't waste my time going back. Disappointing read more

Nice spot to try out. They replaced Chandos that was at this location. They did a really nice job at changing the vibe inside. Found out they're originally from the Lodi area and have multiple locations. Service was pleasant. Food was pretty good and price wasn't too bad. Decided to eat here on a whim at around 9:20pm. I think they close at 10pm. PROS * Friendly, courteous, and kind customer service from the two ladies serving and working the counter. CONS * The disinfectant cleaning supply smell pierced my nose to the point where I could taste it. I walked to the other room to change tables but had the same issue. They should be retrained on when to clean and the amount/concentration of cleaning agents used. I left the establishment with a mild headache. * Those were the saltiest asada tacos I have ever tasted. The seasoning flavor was not good. Disappointed for $3 per tiny street taco. * Man, I really hate to say this because I love taquerias and Mexican food, but upon first bite of the barely filled chicken taco, I swear that I tasted a slight subtle fish flavor. The chicken just tasted off. I was bummed. There was barely any meat in the taco. How do you skimp on meat on a $3 tiny street taco? * No salsa bar and the three tacos only came with one small sliver of lime and a few super thin slivers of radish. Nothing else. Went in during their first week open and thought they did a good job remodeling the place from the former restaurant at that location. The vibes are good and the food was also very good. I got a chicken burrito that was a bit smaller than I expected but the filling was good and the sauce they use had a good flavor. I got mild and it was just right, and the green taco sauce they have in cups at the front was perfect to add. Chips and guacamole appetizer was awesome with a fresh scoop of guacamole and hot fresh made to order chips. Wife had the steak tacos and they were very good and 2 tacos for $6 was filling and on the cheap side so win win. I will def be back and I think it's cool that they will be adding a cantina aka bar to this location. read more

This is ridiculous. This is the third time that they have messed up our order. The first time they were able to refund me and my fiancé for the mess up. Then a second time we went, and our burrito was completely plain. Just chicken and rice and beans. None of the sour cream, or salsa or sauces u get in it it was completely sauce free for some reason on top of being dry and cold. Today my friend went and ordered everybody a Togo order because he wanted lunch there. We received our 3 burritos (one per person) and we were utterly disappointed and upset. My friend paid extra for sauces in the burrito only to have it empty and plain. On top of that my burrito was completely fallen apart. Not sure who the cook is during the day but seems like they don't know what they're doing. We were told if we want a remake that we would have to bring the food back in order to re-serve us and remake it.. so now I have to put this in a container and go back tomorrow and get a remake I don't even want to get at this point but it was 15 dollars. We were so excited to try this place. The only reason I gave 2 stars was the portions of the meat in the burritos were decent compared to other places and the flavor was good. The meat to cheese ratio was off on the quesadilla...way too much meat and almost no cheese. The fish tacos were tiny for $9.00 and they were drowning in salsa, which is probably why the fish was a little mushy. There was no onions or cilantro to be found on oThe mediocre food was no way worth the 40min wait. When we ordered we were told 15min and when they brought the food seeing we were frustrated, the server said we told you it was a 20min wait.
