I rarely visit Farmington outside of returning home for the holidays, but I was recently in town for a graduation and was able to visit my old favorite spots. I have a few spots that were my favorites back in the day and teriyaki chicken is one of them. I won't lie. It's definitely a little dingy, but the food is just so good. It is cash only still even in 2023, but I was willing to pull out some cash just to go. The food is just really good. I ordered the combo of beef and chicken with fried rice and then grabbed a few extra sauces to go. I always add the chili and sweet-and-sour to my meal. They're usually pretty quick and you get the food within 10 minutes. Their prices are also still very affordable, you can easily share a meal with someone for I believe $10.99 before tax. Funny note , when I moved to Albuquerque I thought that the teriyaki chicken places here were the same thing and was sadly disappointed that they are nowhere close. read more

Place used to be a decent and inexpensive place to get your teriyaki chicken. I went last week, and they chopped up chicken, which tasted old! You could not tell what part of the chicken it was from. In addition, the sweet and sour sauce was watery, and the cabbage was tough such a disappointment! read more

Food is bland. They don't cook anything together and just put sauce on top. Don't know why this has such good reviews. Service also sucked. They practically pushed us out the door 10 minutes before they even closed. You could feel daggers on you wanting you to leave 20 minutes before closing. They closed the bathrooms down before they were closed and my toddler who is just potty trained had to pee and we were an hour from our final destination so he peed outside in the back. Food was quick, easy and on time as scheduled for pick up. I had the pepper steak pork and my kids had the chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken terriyaki was probably the better of the two. This whole in the wall place is delicious! Yes, the exterior is no bueno and maybe interior. But the food and flavors are still delicious. The last time I've been here was over 15 years ago and besides Covid and no bathrooms. It's still delicious. Called in my eggroll and beef and chicken combo. 20 minutes later we pulled up and its ready for me. The eggroll 4* it's your standard, better than most places but not the best. Beef and chicken combo 5* i love beef so I enjoyed both meats. Very tender and marinated well. It would be a definite stop every time I come through Farmington. read more

The food here is pretty good, for fast food Japanese, and they make the orders pretty quick. Just remember to bring cash, because they don't accept any other forms of payment. The staff is mostly Hispanic, for this kind of cuisine, but for this area, you get what you got. The cashier can be a bit unwelcomimg though, and are limited to English. So, if you have allergies, or want to change up the order, they give you a look that makes you rethink your question. They pretty much stick to the menu above them, and there is no other option. You can order ahead, as well, so that's always an option if you're driving across town. Extra condiments are available, as well as plastic utensils, if you're inclined for some. read more

We have eaten here, on and off, for a long time. We drive between Colorado and New Mexico and this often turns out to be a great lunch stop. The chicken teriyaki (described as a bowl, but is served in a foam to-go container) is a lot of tasty food for under $5. This time, we "upgraded" to the beef for about a dollar more. It was really tasty, but the chicken will always be my favorite. There are squirt bottles of the tasty teriyaki sauce to augment what comes on the plate (you get steamed veggies and some excellent white rice with your meal). I got an egg roll this time. Loved the black pepperiness of it. There was lots of ground pork inside with the cabbage. I will always be getting one when I eat here from now on. Very busy place, but they keep bringing out the food. You know they say when police eat at a place, you know it is good. Well, here - the fire department was eating here. It is a bit shabby and the restrooms have some graffiti. But - everything is clean. And I do love my meals here! read more

I frequently eat lunch at this restaurant. There are a few things I don't like about this place. 1. Cash only. Come on people it's 2019 2. Charge for refills 3. Looks like an old Wendy's or KFC from the 80's The things I mentioned would probably drop most restaurants to a two or three star BUT their food is excellent. I was very pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. I just moved here and walked the block from my residence and was pleased toget a big plate of good terryaki chicken, a load of fluffy, fresh white rice, and even the veges that came with it were perfectly cooked. And the price was right. Couple days later got the chow mein, which was not quite as tasty but had lots of fresh veges. This will be my go-to place for a while. As you may have read from some other reviews, the place looks like it was built and abandoned in 1973, but the food is genuinely fantastic, as is the mountain of a serving size you get ESPECIALLY when you consider how low cost it all is. It is very shabby looking from the outside, and I would have NEVER stopped in here if it weren't for the good Yelp reviews. Despite the appearances, it is clean. In fact, someone was always very busy sweeping the floors and tidying up while I was there. And the food is not only inexpensive, but fresh and tasty. I ended up eating there two nights in a row during my visit to Farmington, and will be going back again the next time I am in town. So, don't be fooled by appearances, they are putting their effort into what truly counts - tasty food and friendly service. read more
