    Spicy teriyaki chicken
    Kevin H.

Greeted upon arrival and was excited to see the item I wanted to try is the daily special. Today is Thursday - daily special is a bowl of the spicy teriyaki chicken and a drink for $11.99. What a deal. I asked for a little bit of brown rice and the rest veggie and they certainly gave me what I asked for the veggies were freshly cooked and still had a little bit of crunch which I love and the chicken was cooked really nicely and had a good spice to it.

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was fantastic! (I had already eaten a couple pieces of chicken before taking this pic)

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was fantastic! I opted for noodles as the base and it comes with veggies. The chicken had a nice grilled flavor and just the right amount of spice. Highly recommend! The staff is nice and the vibe inside is mellow. Great little lunch spot - I'll definitely be returning.

4.25/5! I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I ordered the Large Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. The portions were pretty big. The bowl was very flavorful. The chicken was spicier than I excepted, so if you love spicy I highly recommend trying. However some parts of the chicken was a tad dry. Overall, I recommend this place and would come back to try other things on their menu!

It's busy at this time but our chicken was burned. Panda is much better wish I would have saved my 50 bucks and bought a family meal at panda.

Amazing that they label gluten free items on their menu! The spicy chicken was definitely hot, which I liked. Usually spicy food isn't actually spicy, but this one did not disappoint me. My mom loves this place since she can taste the char on the chicken from being grilled. I got the power bowl but also really liked the fried rice she got. The interior is comfortable to sit in and the place got busy during lunch. Service was quick and kind too.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl combo, with Crab Rangoons. For scale, the Crab Ragoon shows how small the portions are. Not worth the price.

4 Stars was what reeled me in, plus proximity. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was mid at best. The chicken was charred, but the meat was not marinated, so it was on the dry side. Very light on the Teriyaki sauce, and they charge for a side of sauce. I requested no ice in my drink, but that was ignored. Also, the Crab Ragoon, just tasted like cream cheese and looked like baby tacos from Jack in the Box, but no crunch (soft). Hard Pass.

Stopped by based on a friend's referral of this place out of state and it didn't disappoint at all. The person who greeted me was pleasant and I asked for some recommendations. He said if you like spice; the spicy chicken bowl is where it is at. The place was clean and organized. He brought my food to my table and it was great. Will come back again for sure. Thanks

Had a chance to try Teriyaki Madness as it opened recently and enjoyed it! This is a good takeout spot with good food and nice portions for the price that you pay. We got the large bowl with the spicy teriyaki chicken and veggies. We upgraded to fried rice for the base which was a great decision, it was super flavorful and delicious! For the side we got the crispy crab Rangoons and these were yummy! I would skip these for the price though bc the plate itself was more than enough food. Overall, check this place out!

I REALLY wanted to like this place, but it fell short. If it were somewhat cheaper I'd rank it higher but at $17.50 for a bowl, the quality isn't there. I got the salmon bowl. The salmon was mushy. The vegetables didn't taste fresh, clearly frozen. The teriyaki sauce was horrid. It literally tasted like sugar doused with pepper (the pepper was over powering). Again, for the price point there are much better options, like World Wrapp or Asian Box.

The food and service here is amazing. Staff is always friendly, restaurant is always clean, and most importantly the food tastes amazing. Highly recommend

They weren't kidding when they said the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is spicy... I had to tap out halfway through the bowl because it was so hot! The rice and veggies really soak up the sauce too. Very flavorful and better than the non-spicy alternative... but wow, I was breaking a sweat. Chicken was tender and well cooked. Not dry at all. Prices are standard for the portions you get. Our food took about 10 minutes to come out.

Ask the Community - Teriyaki Madness

Is the food served in plastic containers? I'm trying to avoid eating hot foods out of plastic.

Hello Yes. We serve the food in plastic bowls. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own container if you like to avoid plastic. Thank you !!

How big is the $4 egg roll? For how many people?

Its average size like you get at Panda Express. It can be divided in half but not very filling. Egg Roll is about 6 inches long and stuffed well. The menu says the chicken egg roll is $4.94. I had it, was not impressed at all.

Final Thoughts: 4.20/5.0…read more Asian fusion brunch spots seem hard to come by around the San Jose area. There's more within the larger Bay Area space that I never really go to. My sister and I decided to divert from our original plans today and just go on a brunch date elsewhere. This is also a spot that's been on my list for the longest time and I'm only now just getting to it. Relaxing Saturday brunch day. Thinking it will be a 4 stars for me for this experience. Food: Darla's Benedict: 4.0/5 This is the classic eggs benedict. It comes with two medium poached eggs on rustic Millstone bread. On top, it will include candied bacon, tomatoes, yuzu hollandaise sauce with the side of crispy kale. The poached egg was done nicely. You can see in the video that the yolk is super runny and cooked perfectly. The bread is quite thick and does have that crispy edge on the crust. Personally, I hate tomatoes. They do put a few thin slices on it, so it wasn't enough to fully affect the taste. I did give those pieces of tomatoes away to my sister though. The yuzu hollandaise sauce is very thick and umami. The yuzu is a little overpowering for me with the acidity, but overall, there is this nice freshness to it. The candied bacon is super crispy and I really like the saltiness and sweetness to it. For the vegetable component, they provide crispy kale. Personally, I would have preferred a side of fries/potatoes/hash, fresh fruit, or something more fresh even like a side salad. The kale is nice and crispy, but it's so oily and I feel that took away more from the dish than contributed. Loco Moco No.1: 4.0/5 This is their steak river farm wagyu beef patty, grilled asparagus, picked cherry peppers, a fried egg, pomegranate, rice, parmesan mushroom, and ginger gravy. The beef patty was super tender and juicy. I wish there were more of the gravy or even if the gravy were poured over the beef. I feel like it just soaks all of it in. The gravy was super thick and umami. The ginger is very light and virtually not there almost, so I didn't realize it was there. Not a concern for me as that flavor can be overpowering. Rice leans on the dryer side for me. Definitely a preference as I'm sure others would be fine with that. For the vegetable component, I would prefer an alternative. Perhaps a fresh vegetable or side salad would work better or more mushrooms for that umami, or even a pickled veggie for that crunch. The asparagus looks nice and leans more on fine dining, but it's not significant enough to give that light and freshness to it. The flavor of it works well though. Egg was nicely cooked and had a beautiful yolk color. --------- Quality: Made to order Food was freshly made and everything came out hot to order. The kale was super crispy and like it was just fried in that oil. The loco moco was also super juicy and piping hot like it was made to order. Our plates were all nicely completed and brought out quickly it seems. Price: $$$ Their prices do lean on the higher side for a brunch. Usual prices will be around $17 to $26 with a few outliers. The Loco Moco was one of the outliers pricing at $33 for a plate. This is likely related to the beef patty. I can't say I would pay $33 for that plate. Given the form of the meat patty, I really couldn't tell the cut of the beef. Perhaps it is Wagyu, but its difficult for me to tell. Very juicy overall though. Of note, the portion sizes are smaller. They are plated on larger plates and gives more fine dining vibes, so matches the pricing. Service: Nice experience For being outside, there was still enough waiters/waitresses working, so it was fairly simple to get someone's attention to help us. They were very nice and checked in on us, which is always a plus. Very simple process and good experience with them overall. Ambiance: Shaded Outdoors and Indoors We decided to sit outdoors today given their shaded area. This was one of the highlights for me. Initially, I preferred indoor given the weather, but my sister asked if it was a shaded outdoors. It is and that's what makes it. The air felt really nice. There are pockets of sun that peak through the trees and shade, but that wasn't really a concern. Would definitely go here on another brunch date. Location/Parking: Public Parking Available This location is within downtown Saratoga area. I will say that getting in a out of here isn't the most idea, especially on a weekend where everyone wasn't to go out and spend the most of their day off. This place does have a small public parking lot. We were lucky enough to find a spot here, but will say it does partially depend on luck here.

It's tucked behind the buildings just off Saratoga's main strip. Trust Google Maps, head to the rear parking lot, and follow the sign through the alley to the restaurant. Dinner is prix fixe only -- $93 as of August 2026. We mentioned that we had plans afterward and just wanted a lighter dinner and some wine, and they were incredibly gracious about letting us split one prix fixe. Honestly, the portions still felt very generous, and we ended up spending about the same amount on wine anyway. The wine list is small but really thoughtfully curated, and they also allow you to bring your own bottle for a corkage fee. The standout for me was the Hokkaido scallop with crab and caramelized carrot. Genuinely one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. A couple of dishes were liberal with the finishing salt, but the flavors, seasoning, creativity, and technique were top tier. Everything is cooked to order by the chef, and it showed -- every course came out beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. The whole place feels like a passion project. The chef has spent decades in the industry, including time in Shanghai and Hawaii, and it feels like he and his wife basically said, "This is what we do, this is the food we love -- let's make a place for it." And I love that. There are some rough edges that come with making the space work for them, but the things that actually matter -- food, service, organization, and cleanliness -- were excellent. Even the single restroom was very clean and well kept. It's a small, intimate space, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. That said, they seemed genuinely accommodating to everyone who came through and clearly care about making people feel welcome. More than anything, the restaurant just felt happy. Everyone around us was having a great time, people were ordering liberally from the wine list, and by the time we left around 7, it felt like a room full of people who understood exactly what this place is about. GOGA isn't trying to win you over with a bunch of empty promises and trendy decor. It's about really good food, wine, and hospitality from people who clearly care about what they're doing. I'd love to see the space evolve over time, but never at the expense of the food or the wonderfully unique experience they've created. We'll absolutely be back -- brunch is next.

Rent must be up there as it's not a bargain restaurant but the quality is very good. Let's start with pricing, $95 plus tax and a 3% charge for credit cards, with wine you're going to be at $125 pp. Dinner is a Prix Fixe thing and they don't have alternate choices on every entree. They had crab covered scallop for the appetizer and my wife is allergic shellfish so the chef made a wonderful rare Ahi Tuna appetizer with a miso flare, but this was a special request. The interior isn't anything special and we went when the air conditioning wasn't working very well so it was hot and humid in the restaurant. There was only one server that night and the main chef, but only four tables were being served. Wondering how it would be when they have 8-10 tables going at the same time. Here's how the food rates: Ahi Tuna Appetizer: A Crab covered Scallops: A+ This was a standout dish Fish Taco: C+ nothing special here but fried fish in a tortilla Wagyu Flank Steak: B Nice Flavor, but not a premium cut Tiramisu w/rasberries: B+ I know this would be difficult given the rent in downtown Saratoga, but a prix fixe at $75 would be more appropriate for this level of food. I am looking forward to trying their weekend brunch as that venue allows you to choose from a brunch and lunch menu.

The ambience definitely creates a nice mood for dining. Since I was there to eat--not to celebrate anything and not particularly concerned about the cuteness--I paid more attention to other things: the spacing between tables, which felt a little too tight and close together; the service; the seating; and, most importantly, the food quality. The staff were very attentive and gracious throughout our visit. The Korean Pork Cutlet was juicy and delicious. It was a generous portion--easily enough for two people. It came with a delicious corn soup, potato salad, and several condiments. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the American Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip. I ordered it medium, but the meat was so tough it was like chewing leather. Definitely not what I expected from a Wagyu steak. Would I go back? Probably not for a while, unless I was looking for a place with a fun atmosphere for a celebration. For me, good food comes first, and unfortunately, the steak experience left me questioning the quality of their other beef dishes. And I'm a beef eater!

The staff did not come across as professional or attentive, and overall, we did not feel that the level of service matched what you would expect from a restaurant in Los Gatos. Between the cleanliness, cold coffee, unavailable menu items, and unprofessional service, we left very disappointed. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Gardenia and hope management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements.

The atmosphere feels very traditionally Japanese, and taking off your shoes before entering the dining area adds to the experience. The servers were all friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was also really good. My highlights were the ceviche with their homemade potato chips, along with both the braised and grilled beef tongue. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. I noticed a lot of tables ordering the claypot rice dishes, so those seem to be popular. I'll definitely be coming back to try them next time.

Had we known, we would not have stayed. I understand that the restaurant closes at 9:00 and that the staff wanted to go home, especially on a Saturday night. However, if customers are seated and allowed to order shortly before closing, they should be given a reasonable amount of time to finish their meal. Many restaurants allow customers at least 30 minutes after closing to finish eating when their orders are accepted that late. At the very least, the required departure time should have been clearly communicated before we ordered. I raised the issue with the manager, she was dismissive and showed little empathy. I hope the owner reads this and changes the closing protocol so future customers are treated with better communication and consideration.

He gave me all the pros for each spot. If I wanted music from the band outside, I could sit near the entrance and if I wanted more quiet, he offered me the back or the window. I love this! I ordered a Moscow Mule off menu and they were able to accommodate me! Every item off the menu was absolutely DELICIOUS! I didn't want it to end. We got the Brussels sprouts to start. They were perfectly cooked, moist, and tasty. I'd 100% recommend. Then we got the surf and turf spring rolls! They were amazing! The poke rice cakes were amazing and the fried mushrooms were delicious. The sauce they were served on was a perfect dip. Lastly, we got a tofu spaghetti dish. I'm not sure what it was called! It was also yum! Overall, the experience was immaculate. Our server, Sean, was the kindest. He brought us a purse holder for everyone, got down to our level to give recommendations, and cared! I'm coming back with more family.

I don't remember the name of our server but five that guy a raise because his service was exceptional! 5/5. The truffle fries were great. Perfect seasoning, crispy, and flavorful. We also got the crispy rice with spicy tuna - classic appetizer. We also had the longevity noodles and the steak. Beautiful presentation for both entree dishes and very delicious. The highlight dish for us were the savory waffles. Amazing flavor, airy and crisp. The butter that came with it was also SO GOOD on the waffle. Like who knew waffles could be so goooooood, and savory waffles...5/5 probably the best savory waffles I have ever had. Drinks! I almost forgot. My friend and I got the mango margs and they were so delicious! The cups they came in were refreshing the rim was lined with tajin.
