The honey and I simply wanted a very late night dinner after a long day of travel and I went ahead and ordered UberEats for dim sum for two, as well as a chicken and rice soup (which came as chicken noodle), and tempura shrimp roll. Everything was okay, although the ingredients were definitely on the cheap side. The soup was about a step up from canned and the tempura shrimp roll was a-okay. The dum sum for two was middling with the bao being a version I didn't care for and the dumplings being on the bland side. Last night, we tried Terriyaki Yummy, via GrubHub. As it traveled to us, I can't comment on atmosphere of the restaurant, or how hot the food was. With these delivery services, the oddity is that I'm not even aware of what city or town the restaurant is. So, they need to be stacked up against all the other Chinese available. It was late, and they were the place that was open. My friend and I ordered Ma Po Tofu, and Chicken with string beans. A moment after ordering, they phone to say they had no string beans, so we subbed in mushrooms. The mushrooms were not any sort of Asian mushroom, and there was no variety. These were regular, white, button mushrooms. We found them essentially uncooked. The Ma Po Tofu was, indeed, not Ma Po Tofu, although it shared some ingredients with it. Instead of silken tofu, this was extra firm. Typically, there is ground pork in it. While I didn't see any, I suppose there could have been a teaspoon of it, in there somewhere. The peppers were not correct either. The dish is famous for the use of Sichuan peppercorns (which are actually dried berries, not peppercorns). This gives the dish its signature "Ma La". Ma La is the balance between heat and numbing. There was fair heat, but no numbing at all. So, basically, it was extra firm tofu in brown sauce. Of the places in my town (Revere), Billy C's, Peter Woo's and Happy Garden are all better. read more

We have never had a bad meal here! I love the scallion pancakes, shrimp/lobster sauce, general gao chicken, the rice bowls and the sushi/teriyaki combos. Delivery has always been quick (to Revere). Pick-up is tricky, not a lot of parking. I am curious if there is new ownership or they are trying new recipes. Food tasted different tonight, not bad at all, but not as we remembered. We have also had food here Christmas Eve/Christmas Day during the pandemic, and it was quick and yummy meal during a time when other places were less reliable. Definitely give it a try! read more

He asked for the chicken to be extra spicy and he said it was mild at best. The sauce at the bottom of the container was more flavorful than the food itself. He was able to eat his food after adding more spices & sauce at home, but I threw mine out after a few bites. If you're a Sarku Japan in the mall fan, buckle up. It's perfect. Stir fried udon - 9/10. Portion is a little small for the price but the udon and sauce is delicious, chewy, YUM. Sushi - 10/10. I get the tuna avocado maki, chicken teriyaki maki, and Idaho maki and they're always fresh. Chinese appetizers - ridiculously juicy chicken wings 10/10, chicken fingers standard 10/10, boneless ribs can be grizzly and not flavorful but hey they hit the spot when needed, 6/10. Boba tea - flavors are standard powder, small for the price, boba is small and mehhh but again, if you're desperate this is great. 6/10 Lots of parking available for pickup. Place looks sketchy AF but everyone is really nice there. Also... I've seen multiple employees wearing Teriyaki House aprons (restaurants in Southie + Symphony / Fens) and T House is the GOAT. The food tastes exactly the same and the menus are pretty damn close, so I wonder if they work at both or it's owned by the same people. It contained no vegetables I would deem fresh; only some onions and carrots that seemed to be as old as I am (over 40). I throw away a morsel of food about every five years, but I removed and tossed in a wastebasket the tofu because it was so desiccated and withered, it reminded me of a fleshy prop you'd use to scare folks at Halloween. I can't remember when I ate worse Chinese food. Indeed, this entrée seemed like a throwback to what passed for this sort of cuisine decades ago. The kimchi, or kimchee, conversely, was exactly what I expect from this brilliant, under-appreciated food, which I adore for both its gastronomic value and cleansing benefits. However, I can get it, minus the remnants from a biohazard pail after a day of tumor excisions, at a grocery store for much less moolah than I wasted on the vegetable rice noodle dish and delivery fees. (Why order delivery, then? I was stuck, car-less and with limited, impractical public transportation options, in an unfamiliar location in which most food sellers had closed or were closing for the night. I ordered food at night. I enjoy spicy food. When I was ordering they had an option of very very spicy. When it came IT WASNT VERY VERY SPICY! They overflowed with onions and bell peppers. THERE WAS NO VERY VERY SPICY CHICKEN. ONLY 3 pieces and I ate them all. After I only had rice and onions for dinner. I decided not to eat it. Pretty decent delivery. I ordered Orange chicken, hot & sour soup, and crab ragoons on a lazy cheat day. The soup was good, not too watery or bland, and had good flavor. The crab ragoons were oddly shaped, linear crab ragoon sticks I guess? Nonetheless they were good. The orange chicken was good too but I didn't like how they topped the fried rice with the orange chicken. I want them separate because the rice was smothered in the juices from the orange chicken. This place used to be our go-to delivery. The food in the past was pretty good and enough for me to order at least 10 times over the past few years. We placed our order for sushi, miso soup and beef terriyaki. The Soup and beef were good, so I will move onto the sushi, which was the reason for me ordering. The texture of the rice was disgusting. It was wet and mushy and the pieces stuck together. (Please refer to the picture where my husband held up one piece of sushi and the other pieces just hung in the air.) I was craving basic Chinese food so I was excited to find this place on UberEats with only 30-40 min wait time and $0.50 delivery fee. The shrimp lo mein was the most tasteless lo mein I've ever had and the shrimp are very small. They gave only 1 packet of soy sauce along with the order, which normally Chinese places give you loads of soy/duck/sriracha sauce. Times are tough I guess huh? Gotta ration the condiments... I was also craving a hot & sour soup. This soup sucked! Worst hot & sour soup I've ever had sadly. It was insanely sour and not hot at all. I ordered one of my favorite dishes that I have had at at least two dozen other Chinese food restaurants, egg foo yong. It was very burnt and tasted like it was covered in BBQ sauce. Not your traditional brown sauce. It was awful. I also ordered a hamachi maki roll. Which was the thinnest roll I have actually ever seen in six small pieces lining up to maybe four inches long. I am bumping this place by one star. Ever since I first discovered it, I have been going pretty regularly (pretty much on a weekly basis) and I love this place now. I'm a fixture here! They recognize my voice when I'm on the phone, and when I go pick up my order, I see the bag labeled "Anna" sitting on the counter, and I know another delicious meal awaits me. The staff is so friendly and sweet -- I've come to know them over the past few months. We speak the same dialect of Chinese, and they always keep me there for a few minutes in order to chat with me and catch up. I don't think I've had one dish from there that I haven't liked. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Dude, this place surprised the hell out of me. First of all, it's in Chelsea, not exactly the culinary capital of greater Boston. And what's even stranger is that it's DELICIOUS. A VERY BAD experience to which they had a chance to rectify the situation and failed to do so. Delivery took 2 1/2 hours. Literally. If they can find the apartment complex to drop off a stack of delivery menus, one would think they would be able to find the place for food delivery. After an hour of waiting I called to inquire about the delivery status. They informed me that the driver couldn't find the place and came back to the restaurant. They asked if I still wanted the food. I stupidly said yes, and after another 1 1/2, two phone calls later, the driver arrived. The food... the hot items were cold, the sushi was ok, and one of the items ordered was completely wrong. I had called the next day share my experience and get a refund, but they pulled the language problem card and said the manager would call to talk to me. Well... that never happened. Although I went in wanting Chinese in the end I ordered off the Japanese menu. The order got called in and Matt was totally impressed. The order was repeated back to him and everything was accurate. The delivery time was longer than I would have liked (45 minutes), but it was free and thanks to basketball on TV I didn't even notice. I ordered tofu teriyaki, which was only $6 for a really big portion. Fresh veggies, lightly seared tofu and a side of brown rice. It was light in flavor, yet perfect. After walking by many menus for Teriyaki Yummy in my hallway for months, I finally decided to pick one up and order in. The menu offers Japanese and Chinese food. Even Bubble Tea! A full meal for 2 was around $25 with tip. Rainbow Roll: I was very skeptical of getting takeout sushi so thought this was a good way to assess the situation. The sushi was acceptable but the size of the roll was tiny and falling apart. Generals Chicken: It was tender and the sauce was jelly like. I would of preferred the outside crispier with a sauce that wasn't so globby. Besides that it wasn't bad and made for good leftovers for lunch. Extra credit for using big juicy chunks of white meat. The fried rice we paid extra for in the combo wasn't really a style we expected, no egg or extras, just rice mixed with soy sauce so it turned brown. The almond milk bubble tea was refreshing. They have a few kinds, so I would try another variety next time. Delivery was fast. They quoted 45 minutes but it came in 25. Will try other items on a future order. The food is OK, the menu is large enough I would try some other things and delivery bubble tea rocks. I wish they would stop spamming the local areas with their menus though.
