He just said he couldn't do anything that's their policy and wouldn't look at me in my eyes. French bee didn't give me a full refund either for this ticket. Since I had no choice but to buy another ticket to United States. I purchased an additionally ticket to Newark and had to wait a few hours.Since i proceeded through security, I was selected for additional baggage screening after I had already passed security and passport check. The screening began at the terminal approximately 6:03 p.m. and lasted until approximately 6:40 p.m. During this time, I fully cooperated with all instructions and remained available for inspection. As the process continued, I repeatedly expressed concern about missing my flight and asked whether I would still be able to board. On multiple occasions, I was reassured by security personnel that I would make my flight and that I should not worry. Other passengers undergoing the same screening received similar assurances. Based on these statements, I reasonably relied on the information provided and remained patient and cooperative throughout the process. Unfortunately, there was little to no communication regarding the actual status of my flight or the risk that I might miss boarding. By the time the screening concluded, the flight had departed. Only afterward was I informed that my travel plans had been changed to the following day. Had I been informed that my ability to board was in jeopardy, I would have sought assistance immediately or explored alternative options. Instead, I relied on repeated assurances that I would be able to make the flight. As a direct result of this situation, I was unexpectedly stranded in Paris overnight and incurred additional expenses, including hotel accommodations and other travel-related costs. Furthermore, I ultimately had to purchase an additional ticket to Newark in order to return to the United States. The financial impact of this experience was significant, but equally concerning was the lack of clear communication during a time-sensitive situation. I made every effort to comply with all requirements, acted in good faith based on the information provided to me, and was left with substantial unexpected expenses through no fault of my own. In light of these circumstances, I respectfully requested a refund for Reimbursement of my hotel expenses and any reasonable costs resulting from the overnight delay; and * Consideration of reimbursement for the additional airfare and still haven't heard back. The airline French bee was not able to assist with this. I'm not sure if I would fly out or to this airport again because of my experience. As an American citizen I just feel I was treated unfairly. I was forced to stay a night in Paris by myself and had to wait till the next day at 5pm to leave.

A bit of a walk to ride share app pickup location and then our Uber driver specifically had us go to the regular arrivals pickup area. Not as bad as my last time in Paris where they had us run to departures. That doesn't and shouldn't reflect on the airport itself but worth noting for others arriving -- ride shares do not pick up in the ride share pickup area.

We went for the the red Ibis , slightly less basic. Paid 220€ including buffet breakfast for three of us and a basic but well thought through family room that had two twin beds and a double. The lay out meant that we did not feel on top of one another as it is often the case in family rooms. The bathroom is shockingly sparse when you first walk in , but again as we used it we all realised that it worked perfectly giving us more space. Large shower no bath made sense. When we arrived in the evening we went for dinner at the hotel's restaurant , chez Jolaine that has this pagoda vibe for the furnishings ; again they have managed to make a big place feel cosy for all. The buffet dinning filled me with dread but again I was proven wrong with flavor some dishes. It was kept filled, clean and tidy. 29€ for starter , mains and dessert or 22€ for two courses. This is an as much as you want buffet but it was reassuring to see folks being reasonable in portions to avoid waste. The reasonable size plates have a lot to do with this. The dessert buffet alone will keep going back for more. Super busy but run like clockwork by an armada of hard working and pleasant staff. We pre booked our breakfast , again a buffet style that runs from 4 am to 10 am.

I booked via the popular booking.com app. As I entered my dates for my booking, the system had a glitch OR I didn't realize my date was not available. Unfortunately The reservation date was made for the following month.. July 07...along with the 88€/130CAD Human error or system glitch a side, I immediately called booking.com to rectify the situation.. They told me even though the booking says no cancellation refund, due to the fact they had a full month to rent out the room and I needed a room for the following day, they shouldn't have any issues, they just needed confirmation from the hotel to switch dates and confirm a new booking for me. I kept in touch with booking.com several times to see what the status of the new booking was but all they could tell me was Ibis would not return their calls nor answer there emails...Was it a language barrier I hoped.. At this point we are next day, I had still had no place to stay and my flight to orly was boarding so I reserved a room directly at another hotel 230€ later due to last minute. With hopes I would hear back from either of them once I landed. Maybe a chance of a refund would be possible or a credit for a future stay would be a possibility? I was open to anything suggestions. Touch down at Orly, no news from either booking not Ibis... At this points its 12:30 am on the said night I was supposed to check into Ibis, Im exhausted and I still have a 7h connecting flight home in a few hours. I called booking back once I was back home the a few days later. Booking.com said it maybe due to language issues French vs English so they proposed I deal directly with the hotel and so I did just that. Obviously I was handed off by the booking so they no longer had to take part in this situation. Longggg story short...Ibis Orly categorically refused to either credit, refund or even suggest a solution even though they had another 3 weeks to rebook the room... So we are now July 8th, Ibis never credited and booking.com didn't offer any suggestions or refunds to help ease the bad experience I have had with both venues.. In hopes this story helps other never get screwed over like I was! I will never set foot in any Ibis ever again and unfortunately even though our family used Booking.com like it was our personal shopper, they will never make another dime off of us.

There's also a duty free store. If you take the escalator up in the retail area, there's some places to grab food and drink like McDonalds and Starbucks. If you have a passport from select countries you can use the automated passport gates without waiting for an immigration agent. The baggage claim area is just beyond and is large and spacious with restrooms available. Baggage took about 20 minutes to arrive, and we were then through customs in seconds. This wasn't an amazing arrivals experience but was fairly simple and efficient.

The lines in the security check-in were OK. But, the immigration/ border control process was not well managed. Plan ahead of time, or you will risk missing the flight. Because 2 to 3 hours will not be sufficient enough for you to get to the gate. Also, when you reach the gate, you have to take a bus to go to your aircraft. Give yourself ample time. The food options inside the terminal are very, very limited, so plan ahead.

I used it twice on my week long Paris trip, and found both instances to be OK. On night 1, took a 50 minute flight from Frankfurt, landing around 22:25 (about 5 hours after my original expected arrival time). A jet bridge was provided. Since we had arrived from another Schengen country, there was no immigration checks. My original plan was to take the train into Paris, but it was pretty late at night so decided to take a taxi. Good advice at any airport is to go directly to the official airport taxi spot, ignoring all the would-be good samaritans offering advice on official airport grounds. Some of them were quite good at being indignant about me ignoring them (i.e. 'look at me when I'm talking to you!'). The main issue I had is that the official taxi drivers weren't much better. The router at the cab station didn't really care (not asking me where I'm going), just telling me to go the next cab that pulled in. I told that driver where I was going, and he then started to go. I asked him what the rate would be, and he ignored me. I asked again, and this time he said he would tell me once on the road. I got angry and told him it needed to be a flat rate. This made him unhappy, and after a few moments put a flat rate of 56€ into the meter, which is the prescribed rate for the Right Bank (which is where I was going). The rest of the ride was done in silence. We got to the hotel, and he expected to be paid in cash. I insisted on a credit card, which he was not happy with. Next time I will just take an Uber for less cost and hassle. On night 7, I had a 90 minute flight to Copenhagen, where I intended to visit for a couple of days before flying back to LA. I took the train from Paris, and it did take a bit of meandering to get to Terminal 2B. Going through security was quick, and afterwards I had arrived airside without going through any sort of id check with boarding pass (which is what is typical at US airports). There wasn't much there in terms of food, so picked up some water from a vending machine ($3.04 converted). There weren't many flights leaving from our gate area, so there were plenty of seats to wait. Most seats had both USB-A and eletrical outlets to charge. Free Wi-fi was provided, just requiring any email address to register. Boarding was exactly on time, with announcements in Danish and English and we were airborne 13 minutes after we left the gate.

Our boarding passes were scanned and checked twice on our way to security, once before emigration, again at security, at the gate and then again just before entering the plane... a total of 6 checks while normally it's only 2 or three times at other airports like Heathrow and Tokyo. The queues for everything were very long, especially the emigration queue that we barely made it to our flight. Everything is very slow and inefficient. In terms of shopping and food, there is not much and prices for food are expensive. €1.20 for an apply is a bit much. They have a coffee chain called Paul's which is similar to something like Starbucks, but otherwise there is not much in terms of actual restaurants. There is a PS4 gaming area, Arcade and a media room with a bunch of tablets near the gates to kill time, which I haven't seen at any other airport, which was probably the only good thing I found about Orly. Wifi is free, but you need to sign up with an email address. There are plenty of taxi scammers outside right beside the taxi rank, so be careful or better yet, use Uber. It costs about €45-50 to get to Paris, but the public transport from Orly is very limited otherwise.
