BAD SEAFOOD !! puked up clams and the other couple I was with Ran to the bathroom because the food was so bad we had to leave.... SHRIMP at $2.50 a piece WOW super small and slimy... U15 i think not then the manager on the phone lied and said that they have been ordering U10 for 7yrs ...wrong...Manager was so rude when I called the next day .... no apology just " I wasn't the manager on duty and we will call you back" I'm sure I wont ever hear from again I spent at leave $100 on the BAD food... Gave the waitress and bartender a 20% + tip because they were OK.. although the waitress acted like it was no big deal and this was the norm .. Place appears to be a very nice place... My wife surprised me with a nice lunch on fathers days day and it's a shame we came here. The food was very good although my wife's lunch was like warm at best. But unfortunately the server here obviously didn't want to be here as she made as feel that we were an annoyance to her. Apps came out 30 seconds before lunch, because it sat in the window for over 5 minutes and she was rushing us to the point of it being uncomfortable to be here. There is better service in TWP and we plan on taking advantage of those places. read more

Never had a bad experience here. Even when it's busy. The sushi is great and the service has been consistently good. One of my favorites.

Great food, service and atmosphere. For appetizers we ordered the grilled oysters and calamari. For my entree I had the jambalaya. My wife ordered the short ribs. Everything was great! Will go back again when in the area. Highly recommend. read more

We went there about a year ago and could not remember if we liked it or not. My son was home from college this past week so went out to dinner and ended up at terra nova. I am giving our experience two stars because out waiter was fantastic, however the food was not. We started with a flatbread selection which was mediocre at best. My husband ordered the terra nova chicken (chicken Parma). The chicken was super dry and the soggy breading fell off in clumps. The spaghetti was stuck together with a small amount of what they called sauce sat on top. I had Ragusa growing up and it tasted better. My son started with the French onion soup. It was thick and creamy, salty and un edible. Followed by the calamari salad which was not very good My choice was the chicken Alfredo. My grilled chicken appeared to be boiled and dry. The Alfredo sauce was tasty over my over cooked pasta Not a very good experience. This time we will remember the we do not want a repeat and to stay away. read more

We've eaten here before and the food and service were always solid - a bit pricey but that's ok. When my husband suggested we dine here tonight, as we were kid free, I didn't hesitate to agree. There was about a 5 minute wait - excellent for a Friday evening at 7pm and we were seated at a nice roomy booth. From the beginning the waitress / server seemed to be disinterested. Never told us the specials, didn't really check in with us to see if we needed anything. I had to ask for a cocktail. When we finished our meal, she promptly boxed up our extra and asked us if there was anything else we needed ........ yes - how about coffee and dessert?!?! After making our selection - cream brûlée my absolute favorite - she promptly stood the check up between my husband and I, saying she'll be back. Not that we were having a nice conversation or anything ...... Both of our desserts were runny and really should've been taken off the check but she wouldn't know because she didn't bother to ask or pay attention. After we paid, the next thing we knew every single thing was cleared off our table. I looked around - there were plenty of tables open so clearly they didn't need ours - there were no parties waiting .... what was the rush? It was more then clear they were trying to flip the table. Why I have no idea. A good server could have sold us on some after dinner drinks, a good coffee or cappuccino ..... Remember - we were without children and in no hurry to get home. Huge missed opportunity there!! On our way out, my husband asked to speak with a manager which one of the hostesses very reluctantly got. He was even less help. My husband is in the restaurant business and I'm a manager in retail - we both know good service. That is not what we got tonight. Next time, myself and my checkbook will go elsewhere. read more

The most awful lobster ravioli and shrimp and scallop scampi ever. The ravioli was hard and the filling dry. The scallops were over cooked and the shrimp was dry. The only reason it has a star is because the wings were good. read more

For a Sunday at 2:30pm they weren't busy, so they were able to seat 6 of us right away. The service was surprisingly as slow as the customer flow. We waited about 45 min for 2 pastas, 3 salads and a flatbread. I got the Baja Salad. It's was a bit um... Confused. The components didn't really go... Grilled chicken, Kalamata olives, feta, (all good) mango, fennel, avocado, and all tied in with cilantro lime vinaigrette?! After we were finished, the waitress was there to offer us dessert (which we declined) & boxes, then didn't see her again with the check for another 20 minutes. She was nice and all but just MIA. Unless there was another 1/2 of the restaurant I didn't see that was packed, I don't think I'd go back again unless I was at the bridal manor again and making last minute lunch plans. read more

Went there for a party. The service was good but the food was not. Salmon was inedible ( hard as a rock), penne in vodka sauce (the pasta was not even close to al dente very hard) the chicken parmigiana was very dry but the Caesar salad was very good. read more

Happy hour 3-6 is the best especially if you love sushi since its half price meaning you get really delicious rolls for about 5-6 bucks. Rolls are pretty big and filling. My favorite is the dynamite roll. If coming for happy hour especially on a Friday usually best to come early since the specials are just at the bar area and it fills up quick. Service is usually very good even with it being so busy. I love the dips that come with the bread, sometimes you might need to ask for the bread and dip if you're there for happy hour. The restaurant is very pretty, upscale, and classy. Most of the food I've had here is also quite good. I've tried the lobster mac n' cheese and another pasta dish, good but pricey. read more

Definitely a Miss....Soup was good, not great..Meal came out and had spent a little too much time under the heat lamp...finished meal...had to ask to see a dessert menu...ordered the creme brulee' ....was under cooked and runny on both...in the midst of eating dessert and conversing, the waitress stands the check up right between us instead of laying it on the table and not blocking our view of each other. As we were finishing our drinks, the bus team comes and starts to clear EVERYTHING off the table, from out to in..I have never felt more rushed to leave...WILL DEFINITELY NOT RUSH TO COME BACK!!! Been to Terra Nova a number of times and never a bad meal or experience. It does get crowded so best to make a reservation, but all the good places are. The food is very good, sushi is awesome and an ample wine selection. Bar drinks are good, not so strong you can't enjoy them, but enough to let you know what you're drinking. Service is very good, even during very busy times, you have to expect a little slower when the place is packed, but that's what the wine is for. All the entries I've had have been good sized. I will say, it's not the cheapest place in town, but if you're looking for a nice night out and good food, give this place a try. read more

We had been here before and the meal then (two months ago) was very good! This time it was less adequate than our favorite diner 'Club Diner'. The service was slow, the kids meal looked bigger (serving was RIDICULOUS for a 4 year old) and I'm sure tasted better. My entree arrived and I was stunned at how little seafood was included in this dish-one shrimp, one scallop, and I'm pretty sure the sauce was actually the lobster bisque? Though it tasted ok, I was starving when I got home. As someone doing Weight Watchers, I am actually kind of pissed off this was my 'cheat meal'. We won't be going again anytime soon. read more

Visited first time here in late August '14 in from out of town on family business, from Yelp reviews, and then again Friday Oct 3rd intentionally after good first experience. First experience was great with nice / different wine selection, especially after so many disappointing generic wine lists from area restaurants. We were debating between two wines and, after the server said she would send over the sommelier who knew more than she did, the Asst Mngr / somm, Melissa, came over shortly and helped us select what she thought would be appropriate. Her great interest in wine was evident, and her honest opinion and suggestions were spot on, and she didn't go for the necessarily highest price wine. Dinner at the time (I had braised ribs, my wife had the Sonoma shrimp skewers) was very good and we had no complaints, with the food, wine or service. Based upon the first trip, we returned this time meeting long-time area friends at the restaurant, who had not been to there before. Involved in conversation & catching up with one another, I didn't really notice what they had, only that everyone's plates were completely cleaned off by dinner's end. This time my wife had a prime rib special (priced in the low $20's incl sides and salad) and I again had the braised short ribs. Like everyone else, we finished ours completely, with my wife commenting on the steak actually being the temperature she had requested (medium). We had ordered a bottle of the Flora Springs Merlot to go with our dinners. The wine stemware was fine for the wine price points. While we didn't sit at the bar the 2nd time, I will say it was packed when we arrived (about 6:15) and just as busy when we left (about 8:30). If we are in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to return and / or suggest to friends. The others who dined with us all indicated they would return as well. read more

Bad Management decision. We've always enjoyed terra nova. However, they disappointed this day. I took my wife and daughter for lunch @2pm after Rowan's graduation last month. They just delivered a burger to the next table so I ordered the same thing. The waitress said they stopped serving lunch and only the dinner menu was available. So we ordered dinner and when the waitress didn't bring the normal bread and olive tapenade, we asked for it. When she brought it to the table, she said they were not serving it but since we asked, she brought it over. it was a low-class move to to switch the menus and take advantage of their patrons. read more

My friend and I went to have dinner and drinks Friday June 14th and to catch up, after eating we sat and continued our conversation our waitress asked if we were good and we said yes she brought over our bill and we had decided we wanted to see a dessert menu, she rolled her eyes and looked pissed that we wanted to then order dessert, we felt as if we were being rushed out, then after dessert we continued our conversation when one of the men who busses the tables come over and says "let me clean these up (our water glasses) for you ladies because we have a party coming in....seriously? They were basically kicking us out? Since when do you go to a restaurant to eat drink catch up with friends and be put on a time limit? They shouldn't have put us in the back room where the party was going to be in the first place, I complained to the front desk hostess, only to be told "oh I'm sorry we do have a party coming" and we usually seat people with a 2-2 1/2 hour time slot? Are you kidding me? SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL I've eaten here several times before, after this I will not eat here again and I will be putting a call into the manager read more

We held our son's First Holy Communion here. Small affair about 20 people. We selected 3 entries for our guest to pick from: veal Parm, stuffed tilapia and prime rib. I had the tilapia which was fine. Folks who had the veal parm said it was good. However, the most expensive entry the prime rib was horrendous. It was over cooked regardless of how you asked for it to be cooked. It was so tough they could not cut it with a steak knife and had some brown gravy on it which is odd for prime rib. When the waitress asked how things were I told her that my guest said the prime rib was awful. She said nothing and did nothing!! Very disappointing! read more

Service is terrible, and even though the food is good, it makes for an unpleasant experience. 15-20 minutes to get a glass of wine makes no sense! One person at our table was served chicken on her salad and the chicken was not cooked through, it was pink. Two people at the table got their entrees 20 minutes after everyone else. In addition, when I asked the bus people to wait until we finished eating before they cleared the plates from the table, because some people had just received their entree, I get attitude from the bus man. He gets back at me while I am in the restroom by clearing all the plates but mine. Does management put up with this? Run the other way to any other place. If you are the owner, you need to wake up and start taking back some control. Saturday night my wife and I choose Terra Nova to celebrate our anniversary. We've been here multiple times before both as a couple and for family events, so we were comfortable making the selection. I should note we had not been to Terra Nova for six months. The problem began with drinks. I ordered wine, my wife ordered a Tom Collins. Instead of a Tom Collins, she received a gin and tonic. We sent it back. The next drink that came was no longer a gin and tonic, but it was still not a Tom Collins, so we gave up and my wife ordered a Prosecco. They even got that wrong, bringing out a sweet, but flat wine which was definitely not a Prosecco. We figured drinks were a lost cause and ordered food. My wife ordered chicken picatta. When the food arrived, my wife's order was not chicken piccata -- at least not a version 99% of the people who cook would call chicken piccata. There were no lemons or lemon flavor. There were no capers. The chicken was not tenderized (i.e. pounded). There was, however, a mound of spinach (!). We asked for a manager. A roughly 25 year-old manager showed up. After we explained our issues with the drink and the food, she proceeded to LECTURE US. Yes, she lectured us. The Tom Collins, she told us, "Was right because I made it myself after I looked up the recipe on Google." (So I guess she was tending bar that night as well as managing?) Worse, she told us the chicken piccata was "correct" because "That is the way we make it here." (Perhaps the young lady should have Googled "chicken piccata," she may have learned how it is really made.) All in all, a terrible disappointment. A bar which can't mix a very basic drink. A kitchen which makes an unrecognizable version of a dish. The big insult, though, and why you should be very wary of this place, is they apparently think it is OK for a young and inexperienced person to lecture/hector/deride older patrons. We went to this restaurant last Saturday night. Beautiful dining room, good drinks, nice food selection & they had Gluten Free Pasta available which to me shows they are up to date with the world. All in all the food part was awesome. Now to the BAD part. We had been WARNED that the service was not that good & we were not disappointed. Our server asked us "Do you want to hear our specials". DUH no I came out to eat & want to miss out on something they may be offering that night. She rushed us thru the meal with the repeated question "Are you ready yet". Like we were going to miss the train or something. We barley finished our salads & here comes the dinner. After we finished she was back with another dumbass question. "You don't want dessert do you?" She seemed annoyed as she left to go get the dessert menus. So go here for the good food but be Warned that you might get more professional service from an experienced waitress or waiter at Denny's. Well not sure where to begin. If I was able to rate lower than a ONE STAR I probably would! I will start with there pricing BEWARE! They are UNBELIEVABLY expensive to say the least. There pricing for a flatbread side was $11.00 it was two little squares with either pulled pork or chicken and it really is NOT even worth any more than $6.00 if that! For just two of us with one drink a piece our dinner came to $79.00 well hold me UP! For two cups of coffee we paid $5.50 that is ABSOLUTELY INSANE! To top it off the waitress was VERY slow and hardly came over to check on us after the food was FINALLY brought to us from what looked to be the owners daughter. The service was certainly NOT worth $79.00 let alone the food. I would NOT recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good restaurant with good food and reasonable prices and good service. This is NOT the place for that for sure! I ordered ONE glass of wine and they charged me $7.00 and the glass was not even considered half full that was pitiful especially when it was Zinfadel which cost around $12.00 a BOTTLE! All In can say, if I were you, I would reconsider your dining experience unless you don't mind, minimal service, outrageous food prices and a menu that is quite unappealing and the food and service being far less than perfect! read more

Excellent food. However, their sushi is woefully executed. The rolls never stay together. And their one hour half price sushi is a bit of a hoax since it only works if you can get their ecactly at five on Thursday. But what great marketing because that's all people talk about but rarely can you make it and if you do it's super crowded. The rest of their food is excellent. read more
