Terroni was amazing from start to finish! The lasagna was rich, cheesy, and packed with flavo and the rigatoni with fresh zucchini and burrata was perfect too - fresh, and cooked just right. Portions were spot on, filling but not over the top. For dessert, we had the strawberry sorbet, which was light and refreshing. Service was top-notch. My sister decided to share this restaurant with us as my friend and I were visiting from out of town. We arrived here on a Sunday for brunch & we were the first one there. I love that it was not busy at all!!! We were greeted by the server & she was very informative and easy going. Our whole table decided to get the carbonara for each person, along with the truffle pizza, smashed potatoes, berries, and an olive with bread dish. Food came out quick! And let me tell you... I have not had carbonara like this. It was so yummy! That creamy sauce but not overwhelming. Each noodle was perfectly coated & pasta was Al dente with that nice chew to it. I ate every single piece in my bowl! The pizza.... Oh boy it was also good! The egg along with all the cheese and sauce made it so creamy and rich, I used the egg to dig my crust in. Topped it with some fresh red pepper and chilis. Muah! Chefs kiss. Overall, the service was fantastic & food was delicious. If I'm back in LA I'd definitely come back. Was here on vacation and this place was right down the street from my hotel. It had a very authentic vibe and was pretty busy. We had made a reservation online but it still took a little time to get seated. We were in no rush though and the staff was very friendly. They had a huge assortment of gluten-free options which was great, especially for an Italian restaurant. We ordered the gluten-free Acrobaleno pasta and the Tagliatelle al Ragù, along with some drinks. The pasta was great, I couldn't even tell mine was different. I ate every bite! It did get a little loud so it was a bit hard to hear at some points but overall this place had good pasta and good drinks. read more

It's heartbreaking to write this review because I loved Terroni and I used to frequent this restaurant along with their DTLA location pre-Covid. We visited today for dinner and the tables were about 75% full. It was pretty loud in the restaurant and we felt that it was hard to hear each other at the table. We ordered the Linguine Vongole (clam) and the anchovy pizza. Unfortunately the vongole was awful, where most of the clams were still sandy and left crunchy roughness in my mouth as I ate. I ended up washing the clams down with water and eating just the pasta, which is not worth the price I'm paying. The pizza was also not piping hot when it arrived to the table, so when I had a slice it was already room temperature at best and the cheese felt a bit rubbery. The server also rarely came around to help and was probably stretched thin between all of her tables. All in all, it was disappointing to see that the food is not great like it used to be. The service has also gone downhill unfortunately. I hope they QC the dishes a bit more and staff the restaurant enough so that each table can have a memorable dining experience! read more

Cannot believe a single restaurant can be simultaneously this pretentious and utterly classless. On a $1300 bill, upon learning we were there for a birthday they brought a dessert with candle, which we thought was a kind gesture until they charged us for the dessert. Yes, there was a $5 charge specifically for the CANDLE! The pizza comes unsliced, and despite numerous requests for it to be sliced, they would not abide; we asked for a cutting knife or kitchen scissors or a pizza cutter and were told we are supposed to pick at it communally with our forks "like they do in Sicily" (you can order a slice of pizza in Sicily.) do not waste your time or money. read more

Terroni never disappoints! They're always amazing! I live up the street and visit them 2-4 times a year since 2016. I've hosted dinner parties for work here, I've had date nights here, I've taken family here, and they've all enjoyed themselves. Terroni offers authentic southern Italian food which in my opinion is absolutely fantastic! Full flavors yet not overpowering because sometimes extremely authentic Italian food can be a little overwhelming for me. Their brunch is also amazing! I typically walk there and have a little champs with my Uova alla Pizzaiola (did I say that correctly?) then take a walk through the grove and head back home. They offer valet which I appreciate and the valet man is always cool! The check in process can sometimes be a little rough but for the most part staff is always fun and friendly.. very knowledgeable of their menu as well. I always have a question.. not because I'm annoying, I just genuinely want to know all the things and they ALWAYS have an answer. It's wild. Yes, it is pricey but hello their menu is authentically made with quality ingredients + they gotta pay their rent! It's worth it! Visited on Monday, May 20, 2024 for early dinner. Overall experience was positive. Food quality is good but standard. Nothing was remarkable or outstanding. Prices are expensive but fair by Beverly Boulevard Mid City standards. We spent $104.00 before tax / tip for 1 appetizer (Arancini de Modica), 1 salad (Barbabietole), 2 entrees (Pappardelles Alla Losa pasta / Quattro Stagioni pizza), and 2 desserts (Pana Cotta / Cannoli Siciliani). We were pleasantly surprised by how many people dined given that Monday is traditionally the worst day of the week for restaurants. Service was good early on but deteriorated as the evening progressed and the restaurant filled with patrons. We had to repeatedly look for our waitress and/or flag other wait staff for service. Note: Terroni gets very noisy when fully occupied. They have no sound absorbing materials and tables are very close together. I just got home from Terroni and wow... to be fair I only ordered one noodle dish and some wine but I was blown AWAY!!! I sat at the bar and both of the bartenders who helped me were so nice and helpful. I could t decide which wine I wanted and they helped with samples- no judgement, just helpful and wanted me to get the glass I wanted. It was much appreciated!! For my pasta, I got the Reginette Gorgonzola e Salsiccia with Italian sausage (so hearty ) and Gorgonzola... it was meaty yet still Rich me creamy! I loved it! The people next to me got off-menu Cacio e Pepe and they orders the Reginette after they saw mine- lol! They even let me have a bite of their Cacio... so sweet! I loved the terroni in dtla. Came to this location a few times and it's been the same problem each time. They really need to get their cleaning and sanitizing procedures down. When you walk in, it has a weird smell, like someone has been moping here with a dirty mop bucket. When we got our food, the plates and glasses all had the same problem, like they were washing the dishes in dirty water. So much that we sent our food back because even the food tasted like that dirty smell. To the manager and staff, can y'all smell your plates and glasses? Can you Get a better sanitizer machine? Parking however- not easy. Started with wine and the Funghi Assoluti- arugula topped with soooo many amazing baked oyster mushrooms! And just enough cheese to make it heavenly! The stars of lunch though- the pastas! There are few things better than homemade pasta!!! Papparadelles Iosa and the Spaghetti Limone are both must trys! The pappardelle is somehow hearty while still being light, sausage and mushrooms but where they perfect is the simplicity of not drowning the pasta in sauce. The spaghetti- this one frankly wins. I love OG spaghetti noodles. This dish is fresh, summery and zesty with the perfect hint of lemon. Since calories don't count at Terroni had to get desert. On our waiters rec, we tried the Tiramisu. Ordered a "margarita" pizza off door dash from this place for $20. I say margarita in quotes because this is nothing more than a cheese pizza from Joes with unnecessary basil leaves as a garnish. It tastes exactly like a $4 jumbo slice from Joes, which is not terrible! It's just not $20 good. This pizza arrived ice cold and uncut. I totally get how delivery isn't going to have a fresh out the oven temperature but it is clear that this pizza was pre made and just pushed on through at the restaurant's convenience. Even dominos does a triple check! I'm sure they care more for their dine in customers than delivery. But a lose is a lose my guy. This bread and cheese combo isn't worth $20 for minimum effort. I need to chime in to the craziness of this restaurant's "rules" - I was there today and felt like I was in a secret hidden camera episode of the Larry David show. I ordered tomato mozzarella and the waitress said that she was unable to bring me balsamic vinegar even though they had it. She just wouldn't allow me to use it. When the food came, my friend and I jokingly said that my friend needed balsamic for her salad (so that I could use it) and the waitress flat out refused to bring it to our table - It was PURE COMEDY. The staff were all super friendly, great service. Seated us right away. I ordered the Spaghetti Al Limone. Honestly, one of the best pastas I've had. So incredibly good. Perfect for a sunny day as it tastes refreshing and bright from the lemon. It has spinach and capers in it. The pasta itself is high quality, they make it in house. I would 100% order this again.
