Half the time I end up chatting to the assistant for twenty minutes while she runs through the various products that suit what I'm after. The scripts also get filled pretty fast. If it's not busy, it can be as little as two or three minutes! How fast is that?!? They also have some great little gift ideas for those people that you have to buy an xmas present for, but you have no idea what to get them.

Aldgate Pharmacy accepts health care cards and you can opt for a cheaper generic brand of medicine here, which I think is fantastic. The pharmacists are always quick to give you any information you may need and prescriptions never take very long even when they say you may have to wait a while. What else can you say about a chemist really, it is what it is and I feel comfortable here.

There's all the normal chemist fodder, picture frames, vitamins, but sometimes things are missing. I'd had to use my first aid kit so I thought the chemist, that's where I'll go to restock. I was a little disappointed to find the most basic of non-perishable first aid items, surgical gloves, was not stocked here. It's not a big deal, I'm not Dexter or anything. But you'd think a place that sells first aid kits would also sell items to replenish them. Other than this, it's your normal run of the mill chemist.

However, no one around here is complaining, because it's super convenient - especially because it's so cheap! I go here to get my prescriptions filled, and I barely have time to decide which aisle to browse before they've called me back to give me my order. Still, browse I must, and they have a great selection of everything a large chemist should have - piles of beauty products, make-up, hair-care etc, as well as plenty of injury support and disability aids. Their range of herbal medicine is fantastic, and I've always found what I've been looking for, which saves me having to hunting down a Health Food shop around here. Their standard prices are low, and they still have plenty of specials. I often stock up on necessities while they're on special here, because it saves me so much. Also, the shop assistants here have always been friendly, so it's a nice place to be, as far as chemists go. Look out for the specials bins at the registers, because if you spend over $30, you can get various products for one cent. Yep, one cent. Ridiculous? Yes, but again, who's complaining? To save yourself the frantic moments of decision making under pressure, check them out before you go through, so you know what you want. You can never have enough face-wipes. It's surprisingly quiet inside the shop, even though people must know about it - if you ever travel along Grange Road, you can hardly miss it. So hopefully locals start to use this chemist, because it would be great to keep it in the area!

It's just easy to be able to get your scripts as soon as you leave the doctors so you don't have to stop again on the way home. In addition they will even match the discount I would normally get at National Pharmacies with my member card. It is a smaller pharmacy but I have always managed to get what I needed there and like I said - convenience is the number one drawcard!
