Terryville hates the military!!! I have never seen my dad so upset and humiliated especially after his stroke which was probably caused by defending his country. I went to the carnival tonight with my dad and let me tell you how rude and obnoxious the people working there are. When my dad asked about a military discount the woman there told him "we don't do that" like the military is some sort of "that", do you forget why we don't speak Russian or Japanese or any other languages that we protected the country against. Terryville Fire Department serves the community as an all-volunteer organization that fights fires and rescues, educates, and prevents, and provides EMS. The Terryville Fire Department, located in Suffolk County provides fire protection and emergency services to the Hamlets of Terryville and Port Jefferson Station. From what I read, Terryville Fire Department has three stations, a staff approximately one-hundred volunteer members, and a fleet of apparatus that consists of four engines, one tower ladder, one heavy rescue, an ALS First Responder vehicle, four ALS equipped ambulances, a brush truck, a high-water rescue vehicle and several other support vehicles. There area of protection is approximately eight square miles.
