I find the goods are a little on the pricey-side compared to what you would pay in neighbouring town's stores such as Tesco and Asda. Staff aren't too bad, there is one member of staff though who spends more time talking and holding up queues rather than getting people through the check-outs quickly. I would avoid shopping here in the hours 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm as the kids from the school opposite descend on the store and staff don't seem to do anything to keep them from behaving.

Morribobs is too chaotic & busy to safely shop. And the budget places have very little for the serious cook. So Walmart lite aka Asda is the only place to get the things you need to bake that cake or find that ingredient for a vegetarian dish. 24/7 openings means that midnight munchies, or you need to pick up something that little Johnny said he needed for school the next day, just as he went to bed. I hate Walmart, but needs must. Maybe if the competition upped their game, I might dislike Asda as I really should.

They have multibuys on over 4000 items and proberly more. There customer service is excellent and there store is very clean. The only downside to this asda is that there is no cafe, which i find is a little bit dissappointing as after a hard hours shopping with 2 kids all i want is to have something to eat and a drink. The carpark is always full and i find it hard to park. The parent and baby paring bays are always full of people who park there who have not got any children. The carpak has lots of litter on the carpark also. Asda have a electricals shop next door to the asda. There is two cash machines outside of asda on the carpark.

This store is a decent store but isn't a great place to do a weekly shop mainly due to the stock there, but on the other hand i does have some cool things about it, including being the home to Blackburn's Amazon Lockers which are quite a cool way to receive and return parcels when sold directly from Amazon. This supermarket also has a cafe. In some ways, it just feels like it has been left behind, walking up to the supermarket in a way feels like walking into an abandoned building, there is so much empty space and sadly it just doesn't feel nice. Overall, the selection in stores is quite poor for most items, even the gluten free selection was poor as well as the selection for other items as well. The staff didn't seem too helpful either, and that's if I could even find them! The game selection was so poor, there was probably about 4 or 5 games with some prices of good value and some prices highly overpriced, but it was so few in number they might as well not have it, and it was just a fraction to what I would normally see in a supermarket elsewhere, for example this game selection was smaller than what you would see for just one console in another supermarket. Frustrating. Overall, the store not only lacks the feel of a good supermarket, it has a poor selection too with some items which were highly overpriced, while also taking poor service into account I sadly feel the only two strong points for this branch of Morrisons is the location and having Amazon Lockers, which in its' own isn't enough to warrant anything over a single one star, in all honesty the Amazon Lockers would even be better to be located across the way in The Mall.

Although not as large a…read moreselection as bigger stores locally such as Morrisons, Asda or Sainsburys does have a large selection of fine food, wines and cakes as well as good quality food that for a full shopping trolley averages at £66 rather than over £100 same items at ASDA. Some items are half the price of other stores and top quality such as their own brand chocolate, wines, champagne, and meat products. Fresh fruit and veg is higher quality than ASDA and Tesco but only Morrisons or Sainsburys top this but you pay more of a price there. Staff very friendly and THEY HAVE CHECKOUT OPERATORS which many do not now have and letting staff go, whilst keeping prices higher than here they are relying on you to shop then scan all items and pack with a queue waiting and getting annoyed, this is far better here than ASDA and some others and an enjoyable experience not a stress such as at some.

There's a section for underwear, shoes, and lots of seasonal things like swimwear and shades in summer. The homeware section is very good for small electrical items. There's a pretty extensive selection of DVDs, magazines and even books, and they have some more unusual sections like sports and DIY. Plus all the usual foody things you expect. There are regular instore offers and tastings and the staff are really helpful.

I find Morrisons has a different feel to it compared to Asda or Tesco, I think it has a friendlier atmosphere in general. They have a lot of tills, so queues aren't usually too bad. Another great point about this store, is it's in a shopping centre. This means there are other shops conveniently outside the till areas so you can look in other shops too. For example Specsavers and The Range (which is next door).
