But it has everything you are likely to need for a weekly shop, and includes a fresh fish and deli counter. The entrance area has a small gardening section, stocked seasonally (so bulbs in the autumn, seeds in the spring, etc), alongside a decent cut flower section. There's a generous car park, though road access is slightly fiddly with a steep, sharp curve onto a narrow access road (drive slowly). Pedestrian (level) access is directly off Alexandra Road near the 156/493 bus stops, with a lift and stairs.

It carries a comprehensive range of goods and feels spacious and light. There is a sizeable car park and a nearby bus stop and it's about a ten-minute walk from the station. In recent years, Wimbledon has gone from none to three Waitrose stores within a couple of miles but they all seem to be doing well so the demand was clearly there.

Not because she ID'ed me and my friend (we're 26 and 27 respectively), she pretty much threw our stuff down the checkout and rolled her eyes when we brought our own bags. There was nothing we could do right with this woman. We were perfectly friendly but she couldn't be bothered. We were in a great mood (getting ready to cook dinner for friends), but she didn't even so much as look at us unless it was to glare. Not impressed. At least in Asda they say hello.

Okay, so first of all, this isn't open 24 hours; least of all on a Sunday, when it closes at 5PM…read morealong with every other grocery store in the area. That being said, even during the lockdowns, it is open fairly late and is really only one of two stores on this street that can be considered an actual supermarket. Enormous though it is- by UK standards- it isn't hard to get around inside and has two floors to keep things simple and easy to navigate, as well as an underground parking garage for those who dare to drive on these streets. Food and seasonal grocery-related items are on the bottom; clothing, toiletries, cookware, toys, and everything else are on the top. The prices here are very good for most items, and the quality ranges from, "I wouldn't trust this," to "I'll take ten!" The variety alone makes it worth the trip and the rather long checkout queues, as you're likely to be able to find everything you need in one go. Just don't expect a whole lot from the staff, as most will give you a lukewarm response, at best. If for any reason, you don't find what you're looking for, there are two other- smaller- grocery stores just a few minutes' walk down the street. And personally, I rather like walking here. Streatham High Street has a nice homey vibe to it.

There was something in particular I was looking for and while they didn't have it, 2 different associates were very nice in trying to help me locate it at another store. Overall, a nice place. Good location, lots of bright and natural light (always a bonus in any shop), and good selection.

The store does support Sainsbury's Smartshop, although the signal inside the store can be a little patchy, which again makes the process difficult. I did have a problem finding a QR code to start my shop, for some reason they have them in random places around the store, rather than by the entrance which would make the most sense! (Even the friendly staff couldn't find it!) The store does have a good range of products for a small store, you can get essentials from here, and a little bit more but it would be difficult to do your weekly shop here, and they do not offer most of the services which most of the big Sainsbury's stores do. The store did appear to be very clean, there were staff members sanitising and cleaning everything. A large number of self-service checkouts was also useful and allowed me to get in and out of the store quickly. 3* - Although I couldn't find the items I wanted, this store certainly isn't bad and is in a great location for Fulham Broadway Underground and Stamford Bridge. I do prefer Whole Foods nearby, which is a good shout if you have more time.

It is also located in the Fulham Broadway complex meaning you can watch a film or have a bite to eat and do your shopping on the way home.

This one is forever improving, they have…read moreincreased the number of self-service tills in the shop but not decreased the amount of staff on checkouts, alongside the staff stationed near to those self-service check outs. They used to have a independent flower stall inside but decided the space would better serve a trolley park... They have the obligatory coffee stop, which I have never used so can't comment on. They stock all you expect to see in a Sainsburys, they have recently added a petrol station onsite which is useful as no longer will you have to drive to Purley or Bell Green to redeem the vouchers you get which makes petrol slightly more affordable. The thing to be aware of with this Sainsburys is that it is shares a site with Crystal Palace FC (come on you Eagles). So on match days the store closes early as the car park is over run with cars from supporters from both sides, they will generally close an hour or so before kick off and open back a similar time after it. They have also installed a time limit on using the car park, it's an automated system which reads you license plate as you drive in and tells you how long you can stay for free. I have no idea what happens if you stay over this...apart from some kind of fine I guess. Also on a Sunday be aware that whilst they open at 10am you cannot purchase anything before 11am.

My late Mum and I enjoyed shopping here together and it is disabled and elderly friendly. It is also calm, and no tinned music, but they do have festive music at Christmas. The atmosphere makes it easy to focus on what you need. Friendly, and staff seem happy to be there. Not like a frenetic superstore. Hope it stays this way, just the right size.
