With that, you find interesting choices in things like jams, nut butters, chips, yogurts, chocolate, tomato sauces, etc. It's always an experience when you shop at M&S, and for an American, it's cool learning about a few British items or at least the different names they use of items I'm used to. I went to the hallway to try to recharge the phone and within 5 minutes a very hostile security guard arrived, he didn't speak English and took me to the exit, called another guard and they kicked me out, shouted and insulted me.

Westfield Chodov is the largest shopping centre in the Czech Republic, it is located in the Chodov…read moredistrict of Prague and isn't too far away from the city centre. The mall is fairly modern, it opened in 2005 and was renovated in 2017, but there are still parts of the mall that feel outdated - especially in terms of the layout. I found it really hard to navigate the centre, especially between floors, given the fact that only certain lifts go to certain floors, and it was never clear before getting into the lift, which one goes where. The same could be said for the escalators which were not continuous, I must have spent around 10 minutes trying to get through the mall, just to find the Food Court. It was even difficult to navigate on the same floor, with so many turn-offs, it felt like they made it to be unnecessarily difficult. The staff inside the mall were unhelpful, even at the Information Desk, they did not seem like they cared to speak to patrons. Stores you could find here include C&A, H&M, Lego, Levi's, Nespresso, Next, Pandora, Zara and many others including the three major mobile phone operators in Czechia (O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile). For food and drink, you have a limited offering including the usual fast food names such as McDonald's. It is one of the largest shopping centres in the country and is mostly clean and relatively modern and has a good selection of stores, but the confusing layout and rude and unhelpful staff really mean they fall short of Westfield's usual high standards.

I heard several locals say they hated the building since it doesn't mesh with the city's architecture. I worked out of it for a little bit and overall enjoyed it. There's several shops available, including an Albert, as well as a mini food court, where you could buy salads, Mexican, or Asian quick eats. In the open greenery area, there's also access to a really nice and welcoming Starbucks outpost. It's no Palladium, but I think that's a good thing. The Florentinum is an effective multipurpose space and conveniently close to the Florenc bus and metro stops.

This mall has saved me from walking blocks to find dinner at a reasonable price. The tram station is conveniently located on the second level where the subways will be operating throughout the day. No big box stores here though but enough to shop regardless of what you are in the mood for.
