I regularly visit Hartlepool and this is a much better stop for a lunchtime salad than M&S and about half the price too! Otherwise it's just another supermarket! xx read more

This Tesco has just had a face lift with extension built on the side to make it bigger. There is plenty of parking spaces and a petrol station at this store. When you first enter the store you have the cafe which sells drinks and hot and cold food there is plenty of tables but always seems to be very busy so you might have to wait for a table. Everytime i have eaten there it has been nice the breakfasts are yummy. There is a huge toys and homeware section this is in the new extension so there is loads to choose from. The clothing section is large to with many ladies, mens and childrens wear, but be warned get your other half to push the trolley and dont touch it till you have left the clothing section you get static shocks all the time off the floors and its horrible. Then you enter the food section which always seems to be well stocked and in the beauty section there is a pharmacy. There is plenty of tills so getting served is always quick Oh and one last thing dont forget your club card read more

Staff smoking in car park. Surly staff. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If there is a pricing mistake they practically throw the money at you with no apology. Queues at checkouts definitely not enough open at peak times. Good points plenty of fresh food reductions, good homeware department. I just purchased Denby mugs for £1.97 each! read more

Store is ok, but car park is a nightmare - obviously designed by someone after a heavy night out.

I have been using the Tesco pharmacy for many years on a regular basis & have had ssues with them in the past but on the whole have found them helpful so have not complained. This time however I feel I should say something. I have been in hospital & am now at home under nursing supervision with my poor husband having to do all the running around.(neither of us are young anymore) I was given a prescription for a new type of medical device so phoned Tesco to see if they had it in stock. (Yesterday 19th Feb)The male member of staff I spoke to said no but after spelling the item out to him he said he could have it for the following day. I then asked if my husband took the prescription in they could definitely get it & was told yes. My husband then drove to Tesco with the prescription. There were 2 males behind the counter, none of the usual staff. One of the staff looked at the prescription & said he'd never heard of it & my husband should try Boots. The member of staff did not go & look to see if it could be ordered or offer any other assistance. The NHS ads on TV are telling you to see your pharmacist as a first port of call. If they can't do the job they are there for then what hope at diagnosing illnesses or recommending cures!! I shall be looking to move my electronic prescriptions elsewhere. read more

i bought a present for my mother a music cd, as a present , when you buy them they are in a security box, but most of time not wrapped up in plastic as thats not the way there supplier send them in, what i didnot know is her boyfriend got her the same one, he got his same tesco store so his was not wrapped up either, so i took it back to shop, they said they can not exchange as it is not wrapped in plastic so i went to shelf & took one to her to show non of them are wrapped, she said she knew that, but still cant return because of there copyright policy, even if they sell them unwrapped. what a stupid policy. they gave no apoligy for it. so stuck with cd i dont like. read more

not somewhere you want to vist after rainfall, they seem to have a problem with drains and the smell of raw sewerage is overwhelming, at its worst around the cooked meat counter, this has been happening for over a year and yet they dont seem to be doing anything about it read more
