This included replacing the alternator, which was working, but "iffy." They covered the labor and I provided the part. When the new alternator I purchased arrived damaged, Hadi sourced a replacement by the next day and kept us on schedule to pick up the car for my wife's 50th birthday. He even took care of sending the faulty alternator back to my vendor for the refund. I had a terrible experience several years ago buying a car sight-unseen, so I was a bit apprehensive going into the deal. But they prepared the paperwork exactly as we discussed, with no hard sell on add-ons or other services to push up the price. We resolved every issue that came up on a gentleman's-handshake, and they stood by every bit of it. 5-stars the whole way through!

Everything seemed to be moving forward as expected. I met with the finance department, prepared to write the check, and even had our information entered into the system for registration. Then, at the last minute, I was told there had been a "mistake" and that the vehicle was actually a special car with a different price. It's frustrating to invest that much time and effort, get all the way to the paperwork stage, and then have the terms change unexpectedly. If the vehicle had a special price, that information should have been disclosed before I made the trip. Unfortunately, this experience felt like a complete waste of time and left me questioning the dealership's communication and sales practices. I want to thank Jay who helped people the day I went. The facility was clean and organized, so I felt very comfortable about coming here. They are next to car wash and a gas station. Jay was very knowledgeable and helpful; I overheard him helping people out. As far as value, I felt I got a good value, as I was shopping around. I was given a time estimate, and a time estimate if I wanted additional service and they were very good about meeting that. The vehicles always seem to be well maintained, clean fleet vehicles. The staff at at NAA has always been pleasant and as expedient as one might expect when dealing with government paperwork. I don't think the deals are as smoking as they were 10 years ago, but I just purchased a clean Dodge Grand Caravan for about $100 over low blue book, and I didn't need to pay sales tax when I went to the DMV. Frankly, you're going to struggle to get a better deal on the street. If you do purchase from the GSA, here's a tip - the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) is your friend. Email the FOIA folks requesting service records, etc; their response has been less than I hoped, but far more than a Carfax report, and it's an excuse to use the FOIA :) Regarding the negative reviews I've seen - If you don't have a dealer's licence, don't expect to get into the non-GSA auctions.
