I requested a transfer if my Full Self Driving from my 2018 Model 3 to a new Tesla since the FSD feature will apparently never function as per the original Tesla commitment on my Model 3. Seriously what an amazing service I had today at this Tesla Service Center. I have never been more impressed with a car services customer service as I was today. I showed up for a service appt that I thought might solve my problem and after Bernard asked me more questions about why I was needing this service, he informed me this service would not fix my issue. I've visited a dozen or so Tesla repair centers across California, and this is among the best I've found.

I came her about two years ago for a test drive. The salesman couldn't answer many of my questions so I went to a used car dealership that specializes in Teslas in Costa Mesa and the saleswoman there was much more knowledgeable and confident in her answers so I bought a used Model 3 from her. A month ago, I got a low voltage battery alert so I called service and they replaced it within an hour which was great. However, I noticed the battery consumption was about 40% more. I drove 50 miles, for example, and the battery showed I drove 90 miles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I brought this to their attention, they lectured me about how to conserve battery, all of which I told them I do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They then said that it's standard deterioration of the battery. All this after it took 2+ weeks for a remote diagnostic that they told me only one tech could do yet after calling repeatedly to get answers, they finally did it. Long story short, I traded in the Tesla for a Toyota Prius. read more

So overall, I'd say a pretty good experience. Julian was awesome as well as Alawn (not sure if I spelled that right, but he said I could remember just remembering what people have in front of their house). Those two guys were spectacular. Honestly, I only had two tiny beefs with the place that pulls one star, but otherwise, it was a great experience. I called in advance to see what inventory they had of Model 3. Juan, who answered the phone, said they had 2 black, a white on hand, and a grey on the way. When I arrived about 2 hours later, the gal who welcomed me (I didn't catch her name) first acted as if it was odd that I wanted to actually test drive one. Maybe I'm an odd guy, but I'd like to drive a car before I buy it. Secondly, she said they didn't have white or black. They had a grey and a red. Rather odd based on what I was told when I called. I decided to at least test drive a grey. The test drive was a great experience. Julian got it all set up for me. Was very patient and detailed. When I got back from the test drive, I asked him to see how long it would take to get a white one. Turns out they did have one. It just has upgraded rims. He let me check that one out. It had everything I needed, so we got everything going. Took a day to get my loan and trade-in squared away, but within 24 hours of my test drive, Alawn was showing me all the features, and I was driving off with my new car. STAY AWAY! If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been in a lease with Tesla since 2023. Less than 2 years of having the vehicle and have had multiple issues especially with this service center. I notified them in January 2024 of a crack in my undercarriage (6 months into having the vehicle and driving to and from work) they claimed that it was caused by outside factors and declined the warranty because the screws were still in place. I have had many vehicles for a lot longer and have never had this happen. In February 2025 I noticed the top of my steering wheel was starting to bubble and since then has became significantly worse. The only way for this to be repaired is by replacing the entire steering wheel which is $1100. I spoke to the general manager Kelli who tried to get the warranty but was denied due to it being "consistent with outside factors". This was denied prior to even seeing the vehicle. I took the vehicle in for inspection and they stated in the technician notes that they are not sure what caused the peeling and referenced cleaning manuals and again, denied the claim. I have escalated this matter and will continue to report this business to the BBB and BAR until this gets resolved properly. Horrible service. Glad I didn't purchase the vehicle outright read more

Disappointing First-Time Experience This was my first experience buying a car outside of CarMax, Carvana, or a traditional dealership, and unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. They even modified my interest rate and accidentally presented me with two different ones, brushing it off as a simple fix. For someone with little experience in financing, this could easily lead to overpaying. They offered no real assistance, and it felt like they relied entirely on their product to sell itself instead of providing quality customer service. By the end of it, I refused to finance through them because if this is how they treat new customers, I couldn't trust them. The only saving grace was the loan officer I worked with outside their system. Overall, it was a scary and disappointing leap, and I wouldn't recommend this experience, especially for first-time buyers. If so, prep and do your homework ask plenty of questions. read more

I hate to do this review, as I'm a Tesla fan girl. I bought 2 Teslas and own TSLA stock. But this location really needs to get its act together and do some real customer service. I returned a leased vehicle while simultaneously picking up a new car. I asked the team what I need to do to return the car and make sure there are no charges. They said all I had to do was turnover the keys and provide the mileage. I said we don't need to do a walk around or anything. "Nope" they reassured me. And boy we're they wrong, as I got a $7,000 bill for the returned vehicle. It turns out there is a process to return a lease vehicle to prevent any unnecessary charges. And the team didn't tell me anything! Now my car is stuck with Tesla returns and I can't get it back to do any of the corrections myself and what Tesla is charging for repairs is outrageous!! I've gone round and round with Tesla financial to resolve this, but there is no phone number to speak with anyone. The team in Palm Springs only cares about cars driving off the lot and not helping people with returns. If I wasn't simultaneously picking up a car they might have helped me. But they only encouraged me to open the app to accept the new car. I'm so disappointed with this location. read more

The whole Tesla Service experience was seamless and super easy. Needed to have my Tesla Model 3 Performance serviced as there were some major issues with Autopilot. The next available appointment was here in Palm Springs so I decided to schedule it. Got everything done ahead of time in the app and knew exactly what was gonna be fixed (needed to replace the whole HW3 computer). When I arrived at Palm Springs around 9:45 am, I was kindly greeted by an employee and told to wait in their waiting room which had refreshments and free Wi-Fi. After a short wait, I was told the fix would take about half a day and was offered a loaner car so I didn't have to wait 6+ hours. I was offered a Tesla Model S to drive and happily accepted (no paperwork needed, just accept terms in the app). From what I saw, I would recommended scheduling for an early appointment time if you want a loaner car. By the time I got there at 9:45 am there were only 2 loaner cars left (1 car left if you take out the one I received). Turns out the loaner was much needed as the fix turned into an overnight stay (I live over an hour away from Palm Springs so the loaner was a lifesaver for me). Next morning, I got a message in the Tesla app that my car was ready so I went over to pick it up. Again, no paperwork needed to sign. Received a complete overview of what was done in the app. I was then handed my key card and drove off (my car was fully charged when I received it too). The new replacement computer works like a charm and fixed everything that was going wrong with my Autopilot. They also corrected my tire pressure and topped off my washer fluid. The service team at Tesla Palms springs were all very kind and courteous people, and I greatly appreciated their help in securing me a loaner! This was by far the easiest and most hassle free service experience I've had with any car! Will happily take my Tesla back here to Palm Springs if anything else needs to be done. read more

I bought a new Model 3 almost 2 weeks ago. I paid for the drive off costs with my debit card through their app. They put the charge through twice. I discovered the error after 7 days and have tried unsuccessfully to get my money back. The only live person I can talk to is my sales consultant. He has tried to get a manager to call me and get involved but no calls, no emails, nothing. Tesla doesn't want to talk to their customers. There is no telephone number to speak to finance, or corporate. If you are used to a high line auto experience; Tesla will disappoint. It's unfortunate because the product is very good. read more

I've been trying to find resolution to a window that is annoyingly loud at freeway speeds. Tesla Service took the car out but couldn't replicate the noise on surface streets and couldn't take the car on the freeway for safety reasons. I provided videos of the noise, pictures of three of the windows sealed with the driver window not tightly sealed. But even though they were unable to replicate the noise last time, they insisted on doing it again. After the technician said that the three windows shouldn't make a seal against the pillars, I knew I was dealing with a crew of idiots. read more

We came with a trunk issue of not opening and/or closing properly, but upon delivery of our car after this recent service we ended up hearing a rattling noise that is now getting louder and louder and our trunk door is having a big gap in between the body and the door. I took my car to Tesla to be fixed because I had 4 alerts. Joe decided not to diagnose all problems at once. So I could be charged twice. After I paid for the 12 volt replacement. Joe sends me a message saying it was going to 3000 to fix then a lady called me to knock it down to 1500. If you can knock half off you can bring that price down more. I had to pay for another diagnostic and still no A/C. I work as an educator for 20 years in the valley I will tell everyone I know to never trust Palm Springs Tesla especially not Joe. I stopped by to test drive and inquire about availability, they had one available I liked, before they sent me on a test drive they asked for a $250 deposit to reserve that car, the associate filled out all my information on a computer and told me to hit send, I decided not to purchase the car, only to be informed my deposit could not be refunded, I was never told or informed before my test drive that I would get my deposit back, I asked for a manager and she could only recite policy, and commented that I should have asked the employee, placing the burden on me! They obviously employ some unethical procedures, when I mentioned I would dispute the charge with my bank, she said go ahead and try but others have tried and you won't get it. We picked up a new Model 3 tonight from this Tesla location. The process/ability to set up an appointment was horrible as they dictated when we could come, then told us the night before that our car was not delivered on time and we would have to reschedule. When we tried to reschedule by calling the dealer 5-6 times over the next few days, they never responded to any of the voicemails, as they do not answer the phone ever with a live person. When we finally got someone to answer the phone, they told us we had to stick with the date and time we rescheduled for or we would have to reschedule for March 2021. When we did get there tonight (15mins early) for our appointment, we ended up waiting over 30mins before our car was even pulled up front even though multiple employees were present and several asked with feigned interest if we had been helped yet. We sat in a lounge that had dust on everything and trash on the floor. Eventually, we were given a folder, signed some papers, and were barely asked if we needed any help getting acquainted with the new car. Like several other reviewers, the customer service was lower quality than anywhere else I could think of. Carvana would probably have a more human touch. They didn't have any sincere interest in telling us about our new purchase, and didnt have any answers for the questions we had about setting up our phones, driver profiles, etc. Also, the battery was not even charged to 100%(it was about 70%). When I asked if that is normal that a brand new car is not charged to 100% , they didn't have a direct answer. One employee didn't know, and just looked at the other receptionist. The other one said that the battery can run down while they are driving it and washing it. The car had 3miles on it, and then just pointed at some of their chargers, and said we could use it to charge the car if we wanted. Missing the point that a brand new car in any dealership should come with full battery (or traditionally full tank of gas). There are several other issues we had with this dealer, but I dont want to spend more of my time on that tonight, and hope that our experience with the actual car and other dealerships will be better. read more
