There were only 2 stalls available when we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The Harris Ranch resort building looks nice, and the bathrooms were clean. It definitely has a touristy feel to it, but I wonder why people would come here of all places for a vacation. Oh well. The charging speeds were not very good, but there were a lot of Model 3s sucking the kW's down, and it was around 100 degrees outside. This is a great place to stop in charge your Tesla. It's a short walk to the barbecue that you can purchase inside the Shell station store. The barbecue was really good and the good . They also have adequate clean bathrooms, iconic spaces and garbage cans. read more

Why stop here when you can stop at Kettleman City instead? There are way less chargers here (although the situation should be better after the expansion is completed...not sure when that will be), and I also got bad luck with a charger that was only charging at 30 kW. I had to wait 5-10 minutes on Sunday afternoon in 105 degree weather...again, avoid this and just go to Kettleman City. read more

Super fast chargers and BBQ Brisket. What else could you ask for? Well, there's the smell of cows, but hey, nothing is perfect. I recommend heading over for a quick BBQ Brisket sandwich, chowing down on it, and then heading back on your way! Overall a great place to stop and charge. read more

Great stop about half way between the Los Angeles area and San Francisco. The wonderful extra benefit of this stop is you are right across the parking lot from the Harris Ranch Restauraunt. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner the selection here is filling and wholesome. The area is very safe and for weary travelers passing by at odd hours Harris Ranch has a nice hotel on the property. Be sure to also check out their cute gift shop while you are charging. So many things to do while waiting to get back on the road. You will be rolling down the highway soon though when using this stop with a maximum output in the range of 442 mi/hr and 126 kW at 18 stations. read more

On January 9, during a rainstorm we charged here at Harris Ranch Coalinga and we completely surprised by the spanking new 82-stall 250kW slots away from the hotel that created a traffic jam before. Completely different with the storms since the crowds stayed away. It started at over 900 miles per Charging hour and settled to 400 at 70%. Bathrooms near the express BBQ and huge truck stop means people are dwarfed by big semis and rigs, so careful walking around. read more

JUICE UP WITH THE COWS AT HARRIS RANCH Located right off the 5 and Dorris Avenue right in front of the famous, Harris Ranch. An astonishing 20 bays are available in this area, however, it does tend to fill up quickly with the amount of folks trying to roam around or eat in Harris Ranch. Personally, I like how conveniently close the bays are to Harris Ranch as the stench can intensify around summer time. Inside, there's a gift shop, two restaurants serving amazing steak locally grown in Harris Ranch, and very well-kept restrooms conveniently located on the far left side of the establishment if you're facing the front. Only downfall to this station is that there are NO overhangs so during the sweltering summer season, it can get bloody hot, which can also slow down charging time as well. Something to take note of. Overall, a great place to be if you're hankering for non-fast food and looking for little memorabilia or trinkets to buy along the way. read more

Find 20 Tesla superchargers here! They were all empty at 6:00 am Thursday morning. This one is on the Harris Ranch and you can get a nice breakfast, some coffee and take a bathroom break before hitting the road again. Spent about 45 minutes here and got a full charge. Great place to stop. read more

This is a good spot to stop if you need to recharge. The restaurant has grass and tables so you can get out and and your kiddos stretch their legs a bit. There's also a restroom, shop, and restaurant right there, with a gas station across the parking lot. The only small issue I had was the charge rate, which just mean I had to unplug and plug back it and it was normal. This is a good stop! read more

Tesla is driving the future of automotive technology. Harris ranch supercharger is one of the first superchargers out there. Thankfully is well maintained the number has doubled!!. Theres always space at this supercharger. I love that they added trash cans now at this location. Now that theres another supercharger at kettleman, i have a feeling that this location will die down. But this will be one of my favorite locations. One thing is in the middle of the morning the only restroom is at the gas station which is very far walk. So one advice is stop at the gas station first if you really really need to go or else you will have to sprint. read more

Plug in ur tesla and head to the restaurant for the Cajun filet tails appetizer and a glass of wine...if ur not driving of course ;) The filet mignon tips are served on a hot plate with fresh salsa, it's so yummy! Super chargers were almost deserted. Plenty of room here! The steak restaurant looked good, but we decided to save money and go for the BBQ emporium. This was a mistake. Though the food was acceptable, the environment was rock bottom. It is a BBQ lunch counter that opens into a convenience store that also services the gas station. There is no interior seating. Outside we found the strong odor of cow manure from adjacent fields and dense clouds of house flies that competed with us for our meal. Whether the food was actually good or not I couldn't say. The senses were overpowered by eau du cow and the meal so rushed so as to get the better part of it ourselves instead of feeding the flies that I recall it only for the surprising absence of flies in the mouth. (Maybe they were BBQ flavored?) We found the electrons in the battery to be of sufficient quality and fled. I feel this could have been a 5 star rating had we tried the steak restaurant instead. read more
