I'm not exaggerating, but the baguettes here are THE best I have ever eaten- they taste like real french baguettes, and even my french (and snobby about bread) friends agree with me! This may come as a surprise, as the bakery is Japanese, but they do really nice Japanese style treats in addition to great bread, such as custard buns and azuki bean doughnuts. Since this place has opened up, the queues can reach to outside the tiny shop, which shows how popular it has already become! Because of the high demand, you'll have to check what times they have their famous baguettes in, as they sell out in hours, and they also close every third Sunday, so make sure you check the opening times. I admit to actually timing my Sunday morning around the known baguette-stocking times, which shows how much I actually love this place!
The price isn't cheap- around £1.30 for a small baguette, but it tastes so good that it is worth it. I wouldn't recommend going every day because of the price, but it's great to treat yourself there as the everything is just so good. The staff are really friendly, and once you've visited a few times they get to know you, and I really can't rave about this place enough! read more
