The professors were great, but when it comes down to getting registered, advised, financial aid questions etc, be prepared to be told SEVERAL different stories, be transferred multiple times and have to wait at the school over 4 hrs to complete simple tasks. I drove all the way down from San Antonio to Laredo to apply because I was told I couldn't go on applytexas.org like EVERY OTHER SCHOOL in TX. I made the drive, spent literally ALL DAY at school applying and registering to be told the classes would be more than I could pay out of pocket for one solo class so their ONLY OPTION was an "emergency student loan" they offer that must be paid back after 30 days. I was told by multiple staff members to try outside sources so that's exactly what I did. I pulled a loan with a company I've used for student tuition before and LCC WAS ON THEIR LIST. After a few wks of no work from LCC on my status of certification on my loan I called and was transferred 3 times just to be told they no longer accept outside private loans!!!! What a crock of crap. I explained to them I spoke to multiple ppl at LCC who am told me the same idea of what to do if I couldn't pay out of pocket who had ALSO told me filling out a FASFA wouldn't help (yup, you read that right)... and they cut me off when I was trying to explain and said AND I QUOTE "well then just pay out of pocket!" SERIOUSLY?!?! What a joke.... get your crap together LCC, after many complaints about your college you would think you would train your employees better, but it seems as though everyone says whatever they think sounds ok without actually knowing. Some things never change!
