    Fish and shrimp

Excellent food and service. Freshly made. Highly recommended. We drove past and did not stop when we asked a local person where to eat they recommended this place. We had doubts but what a pleasant surprise.

Huge chicken fried steak - perfectly cooked, tender and tasty !!

1st Chicken Fried Steak ever - K-BOB'S over 30 years ago. 2nd Chicken Fried Steak ever - Texas Cajun Cafe. Wanted to reminisce in the old full service Pizza Hut, but also thrilled to eat such an amazing chicken fried steak, gravy, fries, and fried alligator for the first time as an appetizer! Aaron, Depong, & their business partner family run a wonderful happening restaurant!! Kudos to all y'all!!!

Stuffed crab, fried shrimp and oysters - I've had better.

First meal in Texas. It's alright. The only dish that we loved was the fried alligator. There was a lack of flavors for the fried catfish. The breading for the oysters was really thick and it was over cooked. The waitress is so sweet. Great customer services but the quality of the food was not that great.

    Catfish and fries.

Average. Catfish ok, French fries ok. Sister had pork chop and raves about it. 3 out of 5 stars.

    Small shrimp gumbo to go

I ordered a small shrimp gumbo and fried oysters to go because I was in a hurry but wanted to try the place out because it had decent reviews they had my food to me within 15 minutes and I was on my way, man am I glad I stopped the gumbo is absolutely delicious and the oysters were cooked to perfection highly recommended if you are ever in Lamesa.

No happy with the fish at all...or everything else...

Steak was over cooked covered in seasoning, and pretty sure they've never been anywhere near Louisiana before crab was a season

OVERALL Hot Hot Cajun Juicy Seafood is a nice change of pace…read morefor this small town. I'd go here again some day. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4| Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 3 PARKING There is ample free parking at the Broadmoor Mall which is more like a hall. Anyway. You shouldn't have a problem parking within walking distance. Also, trucks/trailers should have plenty of space to park. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This restaurant took the place of the long-standing Furr's which held a special place in my heart. They have repainted and redecorated the main dining room with seafood and ocean vibes. THE GRUB Both my significant other and I opted for the 1/2 pound crab boil ($17.99). We both wanted garlic butter seasoning at medium spice level. My photo didn't do it justice, but each steamed bag has several slices (like maybe 5) of andouille sausage, a piece of corn on the cob, and maybe 3 small potatoes. We really enjoyed ours, but the crab could have been more fresh. Welcome to Hobbs, NM where most seafood arrives frozen. :) The taro milk tea ($4.99) was iced, but stayed super warm for a long time. While it had a slightly sweeter flavor than I like, it was better when I got home to add ice to it as I did not drink much of it at the restaurant. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUBI did not see a kid's menu, however, my kiddos were in school & I forgot to ask if they had one. SERVICE We were not promptly greeted - it even took a while for someone to seat us, but once they did things went smoothly. Our waitress didn't even ask my SO if he wanted his tea refilled. She just did it. Love that. MY FAVORITE PART... How our waitress hustled for us about 10 other tables all by herself. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The two out-of-sync TVs playing music videos. TIP Several customers came in for order pickups, so it seems like a decent spot for takeout.

My usual delivery order is orange chicken and hand pulled noodles with a taro boba…read more The traditional Chinese menu is very nicely presented. Bao buns and shumai also very nice. Xie Xie.
