I've gone here for years and they are very good. I recommend them for your fur babies

TCAP is such a wonderful organization. They provide low cost spay/neuter, dental cleanings, and vaccines for dogs and cats. They also have a trap and release feral cat program to help reduce the stray cat population that end up homeless and/or in shelters. I've always had a great experience at TCAP and the staff are nice and caring. Highly recommend!

My 11 month golden doodle died in their care today. Neuter surgery. Still in shock. My baby gone. Name: Dalcom Date of Birth 9/28/2022 Date of Death: 9/1/2023 Vet: Dr Glenn Campbell Agree risk with any surgery but neuter? I wish I had name of vet prior because I would have seen the veterinary review board cases.

Long post but I swear it's worth it. I feel super compelled to tell you about something that is INCREDIBLE that I discovered by accident. I promise you this is truly the best pet parent tip you'll probably ever get. When we were considering adopting this former stray, I was concerned because we had always adopted older dogs and never had a puppy. I wanted to make a plan for his every need. I called our vet just to get a ballpark on what the expense would be to get him all 3 rounds of shots and get him neutered. I was shocked when they told me that his first round of shots would be $400. JUST the first set. Then, to have him neutered would be an additional $500-$600 and even more if I wanted him to get pain meds! (Like who would put a dog through surgery and not make sure they were comfortable afterwards?!) I didn't know any better and almost bit the bullet and went with our usual vet. SO HAPPY I DIDN'T! I just happened to check to see if the cost would be the same at other vets in town and was BLOWN AWAY when I came across Texas Coalition For Animal Protection. (They have locations all over.) For ALL 3 rounds of shots, microchipping, and neutering with pain management after, THEY ONLY CHARGED $150. $150 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING!! And they have great reviews. We have had 4 vet visits with them and I'm over the moon happy with every single person that we've met and the care they provided my Banner baby every single visit. They also offer ridiculously low rates for your dogs & cats to get their annual vaccinations, dental cleanings, and heartworm testing/preventative. (I mean, less than $75!) Look them up. I sincerely cannot say enough good things about them! Most affordable and the most wonderful service for the State of Texas. Donate if you can! They're remarkable!!

They are so kind and caring! They were super patient with my lack of after care knowledge and answered all of my questions. I got a call letting me know my boys were out of surgery and ready to be picked up and hour and a half before the planned time at 4 which really helped with dealing with traffic to get there. Super affordable, definitely worth the hour drive. Will definitely be bringing my other kitty soon to be neutered! They were even kind enough to put one of my baby's in a box vs his carrier because he had a very messy accident!

Store front with people and pets waiting in line for shots

We take our dogs here yearly to get shots. It's very affordable but not always convenient. Make sure you go during Vaccine times and you have at-least 2 hours to spare. We came exactly at 6 and waited about an hour till we were seen for group E. At least we didn't have to wait outside the whole time. Once inside it's a bit chaotic and you get in line for shots. If your dog struggles with anxiety or you can't hold them during a vaccine do not come here. Mine are small so we can control them but I saw huge dogs being wrestled on the floor with their owners as they got shots. If your dog bites, bring a muzzle for them. If you get Heartworm tested you have 7 days to order their medicine from their website. Just fyi. Anyway, I like what the group is doing and what they offer for animals. Most of the staff is friendly. Get your dogs vax!

Emmi in the cone of shame after getting spayed
    Christy O.

I took my Emmi Sue to be spayed last week and everything about this place is wonderful. The facilities, the staff, the cost. All of it. I liked it so much I'm considering bringing all my dogs here for vaccinations when it's time.

But after his retirement, the quality of care declined--culminating in an unacceptable and unprofessional interaction with Dr. Erin Hauser. During a call about a serious and unexplained 8-pound weight loss in my dog over 60 days, I voiced reasonable concerns and asked direct questions about how this could have gone unnoticed. Dr. Hauser became immediately defensive, deflected blame to a vet tech, and ultimately hung up on me mid-call--claiming I was being "hostile." I was not. I was clear, firm, and appropriately concerned for my dog's health. Her response was reactive and unprofessional. I contacted the practice manager, Jennifer, who acknowledged this was not acceptable and said she expected Dr. Hauser to apologize. Instead, I was told Dr. Hauser cried and refused. After that, the practice went silent--no apology, no accountability, and no further communication. The final blow came when I received my pet's medical records. The notes had clearly been updated after the fact to include gaslighting language and self-protective reframing--mischaracterizing me as hostile, emotional, and irrational while avoiding any acknowledgment that a licensed vet had hung up on a concerned client. It was a textbook case of rewriting the narrative to protect the provider rather than the patient. That's not just unprofessional--it's unethical. This clinic once stood for high-quality, compassionate care. What I experienced was a breakdown in clinical standards, emotional deflection, and a vet more invested in defending herself than caring for the animal. I've taken my dog--and her records--elsewhere. I'm sharing this for every pet owner who expects honesty, care, and professionalism from their vet. You should never be gaslit or silenced for advocating for your animal.

On our second visit, we received antibiotics for a tooth infection and were provided a quote of $3,500 to $4,500 for him to have a dental cleaning and some teeth pulled. We found a clinic that will do the same procedure for under $500 but we must wait 3 weeks. I called Thrive to see if we could get a refill on the antibiotics given the wait period and our dog's discomfort. Talked to Front desk staff who said they would check and let me know. I received no call back. Clearly we'll be finding a new veterinary clinic.
