I would NOT recommend anyone bring or put a child in this facility. The children are NOT taught to do anything expect play and how to bully or be bullied. I've tried to get paperwork that is needed and the office staff continues to put me off stating it will take 45 days. It's been months and still nothing. They either are not familiar with the laws or chose not to abide by them. My child's other parent has tried to pick up my child and also get needed paperwork showing court documents and still; they do not abide by the law. This is nothing more than a glorified baby sitting agency that does nothing to help the children...or prepare them for school. They just don't care...cell phones are a high priority for staff...not children. read more

My experience working with Head Start like a teacher in Decatur was like a nightmare. Staff working are mediocre people without academic education, the DIRECTOR yells at his employees, has insubordinate action, is incompetent, no team work, has no control in the center, no professional ethics, the 15-minute break; under 10 minutes for some employees while other employees grip 30 minutes. There were times that neither break to go to the bathroom was given to us, they loved gossip, when the kids left at 1:30 you'd have to mop, wash bathrooms, sweep, vacuum and clean all while the TA is out buying food outside the center. Favorite at 1:30 pm employees leave their rooms for office DIRECTOR playing with cell phones, computers, buy food, watch videos on YouTube, to gossip and the employee does not participate is bad and bad behavior, she likes to speak ill of their employees with other employees, problems among employees do not resolve, they like to feel sorry for their favorite employees and when work is prohibits talking on cellphones lets them use it, is racist, thinks he knows more than anyone because he has many years teaching but has no university. For the Director and staff working at headquarters reported that children come to play and educating them is not their priority. The teacher has to make 2 home visits in the year and then you use your car does not get paid millage, 77 hours are worked in two weeks and not get paid overtime, either get continuing education or training after work because they have no money. I think this is not a workplace for a professional and experienced person. The Head Start of Counties belonging to Weatherford, Tx is depressing, incompetent, uneducated, mediocre staff and the worst place in Texas to work. read more
