I have drove by this place at least 100 times and this time I finally decided to stop.I parked and went in and as I looked around the place reminds me of an old school bbq place.They have a bar to the right as you walk in some tables and a couple of booths.They also have more seating outside in the,it looked like a covered patio or just a extension of the restaurant.Either way there is plenty of seating.So as I got to the counter to order it took them a minute to get to me.But they did acknowledge me twice just to let me know I was there.Well as I was waiting I looked at the menu and decided on the two meat plate.Which I ended up getting ribs,brisket along with potato salad and beans.It also came with a piece of toasted bread.And I washed it down with some sweet tea.I have to say overall it was pretty solid.I really have no complaints except for one.They don't take the membrane off their ribs.Other then that the food was good.And the tea and sides were on point.Not sure why this place only gets three and a half stars?I think it should get a solid 4 imo.I would definitely go back.If you're in the neighborhood and hungry for BBQ give this place a shot. read more

This is a tough call between a 4 and a 5. There were things I love, the ambience is pure Texas, so love that. Seems like a cool place to kick back with some cold adult beverages and watch a Cowboys game. But I came here to eat so: The Jalapeño sausage was awesome. The chopped brisket though was good not great. As for the sides, I tend to pass so can't comment on those. Didn't get to have any suds or whiskey so can't comment on those either. Hate to give a bad review, but cost seems to have gone up while service/quality go down. We went through the drive thru today and was less than impressed. Long waits, broken PA systems and what must be short staffing. $6.99 for a piece of corn cut in two (2 sides of half corn month Cobb) is wild and $10 for a side of macaroni. They even forgot to put our fries in bag and we didn't notice until we got all the way home. Too late at that point to do anything about it. Alright so I ordered the burnt ends, the apple cobbler and coleslaw. My friend hyped it up, and sadly we were both disappointed. The girl who took my order was rude. The burnt ends are not burnt ends by any means. The BBQ sauce taste like runny pure apple cider vinegar. Coleslaw is bland. And you can tell they put no effort into the apple "cobbler". Hubby and I stopped at Texas Pit last night with our friends. While the company was excellent, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Turkey Sandwich with a side of cheese fries, and hubby ordered a three meat plate with onion rings. I will say that the star of the evening were the cheese fries and onion rings. The turkey was tender - but didn't have a lot of seasoning and hubby said his food left a lot to be desired. They only give you a tiny cup of BBQ - which wasn't stand out either, so I guess I didn't need more than that. The atmosphere is very much old school bar feel. We were able to sit and talk for a few hours without feeling like we were overstaying our welcome. All in all, this isn't a bad place. Texas has a lot of great BBQ, and unfortunately Texas Pit wasn't my favorite. read more

Great, wings 9.2, some of the best wings I ever had from a restaurant. Great smoke flavor and crispy skin. Only downside was kinda expensive, $11.99 for 6 wings and only had two sauce options.
