I'm a huge fan of Texas Roadhouse because it's consistent. If you've gone enough, you know to put yourself on the waitlist, especially if it's for dinner and crucial if it's the weekend. It was my first time at this location and as per usual, it was bustling. My party of 2 was small but I placed us on the waitlist 10 minutes before we arrived. Once we arrived, we checked in online and went up to the hosts to inform them of our arrival. Thankfully a table for 2 opened up when we got there so we didn't have to wait long. I would recommend not only waitlisting yourselves but also check with the hosts if your group is larger than 6 so they can accommodate. The staff are typically always welcoming and nice at this chain - I liked that they seemed to have adequate staffing during a busy Saturday night. Our server Luis was great and the wait for our food wasn't extremely long; average for a busy weekend dinner. I get the Texas-size combos and usually have enough for leftovers. We are regulars at this location! We alternate between sirloin steak & burgers! Service is always consistent as well as the food. Sometimes I get grisly steak * like in the medallions or shiskabob* so I stick to the sirloin. If something is not right management MAKES it right! We DON'T like their fries there- they suck! First time visiting this place. We stopped by before heading to the airport to head back to California. Honestly, I liked it. I can't say I loved it, but I did enjoy it. Our server was really attentive and helped us out with any questions. I think I'd need to try again and maybe get a different dish. I had the pulled pork sandwich today, and it was good, but not amazing like I expected. My son really liked his kids' mac and cheese. One of the burdens a Foodie must endure is the situation where a friend suggests a resto you know isn't going to "cut the mustard". If you're a jagoff foodie, you complain and campaign to go somewhere else (ignoring the fact the errant place might be a particular favorite of the friend). We used to be avid fans of Texas Roadhouse, until the greedy bastards shuttered our local store, only to build a larger one on a busier street down the way from the previous address. Nowadays, growth from Corporate restaurants usually means degradation in quality. Such was the case with our local T.R.. We don't patronize it anymore, and it put us off T.R. since. So when I found myself bound to a T.R. (not our local store) as it was the choice of the group of the day, I wasn't happy-but I'm not a jagoff foodie. Texas Roadhouse puts a number of their steaks on display in a cold counter right at the front door. As I was the first there, I took a look. The steaks looked fine in quality, and I was encouraged. Well. I swung with their Sirloin 'cos it caught my eye in the display. A decent Caesar for starters, and then the entree appeared. I like my steaks rare, even occasionally bleu. The one presented was closer to hard well-done. The attentive server agreed it wasn't as ordered and took it back without rancor. the replacement was returned in short order, and it was perfect temperature, and turned out to be a quite tasty feed along with the accompanying baked potato. Shows to go ya, not every rose has thorns. We'll give our local T.R. another chance. read more

Wait approx 40 minutes (took 25). Crowd and wait is expertly handled with very cheery and accommodating staff. Our server, Michael, was extremely attentive and helpful. Started with $5 Long Islands for wife and myself. House salad and blooming onion. Salad plate served chilled... nice. Onion served with a lovely horseradish dip. Both better than I expected on a very crowded night. Steaks served perfect. Med rare. Flavorful. Oh yeah, forgot the basket of warm rolls and cinnamon butter. Overall the staff made up for the crowd by efficiently handling the flow. I made mention to the manager on the way out that he has a well performing team. $$ very modest for the meal I was served. This place was packed both times I came. They seem to regular have a 1 hour wait. Good food and good service are probably the reason. I ordered the $5 Long Island Ice Tea, Fort Worth Steak, fully loaded potato, and house salad. The Long Island was extremely sweet/sour and had little alcohol. The house salad was fresh and tasty. I have checked that box every time we have ordered online (more than 10X). &never rec'd it even put it in comments and your employee circled it but did not provide it. The quality used to be so much better, but we can buy better cut at Jewel. A ribeye on the bone should be a tender cut, but the last 2 times it's not been even chewable. 75% of the steak you have to spit out from all the fat & chewy texture. $40 for a steak you have to spit out is brutal. Texas Roadhouse either has to change their quality or you can't go anymore. We will never go back again and waste our money buying a ribeye steak you can't even swallow. When walking into the restaurant we were sat fast with very little wait time. They brought over warm bread with their cinnamon butter which was delicious. I love this place, but recently I had a to go order of 2 herb crusted chicken dinners. The chicken was pink, which had never happened before. I called and spoke with a manager who informed me she would email me a voucher to replace the meals. Never received the email. I called back and gave the email again, yet still never received the email. Sorry to say but I will not be going back to this particular location. I'm not one to ever call and complain, but I couldn't even eat the meal being afraid I would end up sick. Thanks for the replacement voucher I never received! I've been going with my family members to the Texas Roadhouse in Joliet since it opened in 2000. From the moment you walk in and our greeted with a smile by the staff to seeing and feeling the wonderful atmosphere and the music. It's always busy and full of laughter and cheer. The business is very clean. The staff is always very friendly. I've had almost everything on the menu and it is all delicious. The portions are big and the price is very affordable. I've eaten at some of the so called high class restaurants and found there very expensive steaks to be no better then here. This night we had Breanna as our server. This young lady greets you with a big smile, a kind, and caring demeanor and with a sense of humor. With Breanna you will want for nothing. Because she is on top of it. Breanna is a top notch server. Morgan the manager came to are table to see how everything was going. She greeted us with a smile and she was very kind and caring. My Wife's Birthday. Oops the server forgot. While we there, a total of 4 Birthday Texas Yee Haws occurred, but my wife was not one of them. Ordered a Cactus Flower (Blooming Onion) which was very good. So we thought we would each order a small 6 ounce Sirloin Medium Rare since that would be a lot of food for us. Well we were served the ends of the cut. They were so Fatty and Rubbery, I could not cut it with a Steak Knife! My wife's cut was the same, Happy Birthday!!!! Oh and to make things even better, let's forget to refill your Coke, so you have nothing to wash that Rubbery Steak down with! I got the feeling that they wanted to turn the table over quickly. We celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday here on July 2. It was fun singing happy birthday to him while he sat on the saddle seat. I took a video of it because he and all of us were having such a good time. I regret that I can't figure out how to attach the video to this review. The servers were gracious and fun, however, my food was not that great. I ordered a house salad that had way too much cheddar cheese. Even after I removed it, the salad leaves tasted like cheese. I didn't eat it. The shrimp with garlic lemon pepper butter was too oily. Even though you could dip it, it appeared that the butter was tipped by the server while delivering it from the kitchen or the chef spooned on extra. I'm not sure. The mashed potatoes and broccoli and carrot medley were okay. I ordered a glass of wine and sipped it while enjoying the company of family. If you want to eat at a restaurant chain with mediocre food, this is a good place to go. For me, it was spending a wonderful time with my family that made the difference. It was crazy busy but thankfully I remembered to us the "Call Ahead" feature and was put on the wait list before we got there and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. Our waitress, Aubrey, was friendly and provided superb service. Our orders were correct, fresh, and piping hot! I got the filet and my husband got the large ribeye. They cooked a perfect medium rare. Must say this was a poor experience. Asked for a booth on top to avoid a lot of traffic, they put us on first booth by front door. Everyone, every single person must walk by this table to be seated. They asked to butterfly, responded yes, just make sure no char, will send back. 2x it came out burned.. waitress kept reaching accross my face to get table delivered or cleared. Lastly interupted our conversation every 2 mins. I guess the silver lining is she was there every 2 mins. A shame the virus hit, but clealry these wiatresses are sub par, and so is manager. After the pandemic started to ramp up in early 2020 our dining experiences were curtailed for quite some time, and I had no interest in dining outdoors in a parking lot or on a sidewalk. Then I started to develop a taste for Texas Roadhouse. Actually, my wife and I both did. Finally, earlier this year the Roadhouse opened up to diners and we bolted for it. Unfortunately, things just weren't the same. There was no life to the restaurant, it was just a box serving food. There wasn't a problem with the service, it was just lackluster, you couldn't see smiles behind the server's masks and they seemed not to have time for a little banter. I feel a big part of Texas Roadhouse is the friendliness of the staff. Also, there was no problem with the food, it was just the atmosphere. No condiments, salt or pepper on the tables. No menus to study. Just a slab of wood. Fast forward to a week ago. Texas Roadhose has gotten it's groove back. Noisy, happy, tunes playing and bags of peanuts. On a Saturday afternoon, late lunch, there was no more than a five minute wait. The meal left me wanting nothing. I'm a fan of the Roadkill which comes with sauteed mushrooms and onions, with cheese. Along with that my sides consisted of steak fries and seasoned rice. My wife ordered the beef tips. It took a little while for things to come out but we barely noticed because we were into the atmosphere and our own conversation. We owe a big shout out to our server, Emma. Friendly, smiling (yes, even behind the mask) and attentive. It was an all around great experience and a good way to slide into the evening. Our total for the two meals and two soft drinks came to $32.88 including tax. Don't think twice, give the Roadhouse a try. They're back. read more
