If you live in the area and are looking for new appliances, go to PRS electronics. When our…read morewashing machine unexpectedly quit well over a decade ago, we had thought about going with a big box store to get our replacement. I was asking around about appliances and my boss recommended that we check out an appliance store in a neighboring town, Precision Repair Service owned by Matt Purdome. I had never heard of them, but my husband and I are so glad that we chose PRS Electronics.
At that time, we called to ask if they had a front loader in stock and they did.
We had it installed within a day. When we bought from them, we were just hoping for a washing machine that would work, but with our purchase we also gained an honest, knowledgeable, and service-oriented repairman. As a city kid, I had no idea that such a repairman still existed.
Since purchasing our replacement washing machine so many years ago, we have called PRS to handle any repairs my husband could not fix and have purchased additional appliances including a dishwasher. As the owner made his rounds, he would stop to do the repairs at our house, even if that meant stopping after the regular work day.
Just over a month ago we purchased a new Speed Queen washing machine and dryer set from them and we are so happy they recommended it. It's a large capacity, heavy duty set that works fast and keeps up with the laundry generated by a construction worker.
PRS does not have a website, but they have something even better. They have a real person who makes house calls, who knows everything there is to know about appliances, and who follows up with his customers. If you have an idea of what you are looking for, just call them and ask whether they have it in stock. If you want a recommendation, they will not steer you wrong. I cannot fathom why the other 2 good reviews are tagged as "not recommended," but check them out. You will find that they are spot on.
