Never thought I'd find Thai food in Redding, let alone a place worth returning to and craving. We had a party of 10, which they kindly accommodated right after another large party left -and told us by phone approximately when the table would be ready. Coco provided the best service, highly personable, and definitely went above and beyond. We ordered a good selection of the menu and everyone was pleased, I especially enjoyed the chicken panang but medium spice seemed hotter than my boyfriend's curry that was also medium -so perhaps a bit inconsistent with spiciness. If in doubt, lean towards mild but if you can handle heat, spicy is delicious. Food portions are great, absolutely filling. If you get fried rice, get ready to share. Everyone also enjoyed the spring rolls and chicken satay. I loved the peanut sauce! The restaurant itself is simply decorated and small. There's outdoor patio seating but we opted indoors during this heat wave of over 100 degrees. Due to it's size, I recommend calling ahead. My only complaint is that they use styrofoam takeout boxes. Coming from Southern California, it's a rarity to see and banned in many areas. Hopefully they'll change to recyclable boxes in the near future. Sorry for the dissertation, just GO!!

I have to start out by saying that Thai Hut was very accommodating of us being a big group. Service was friendly and quick - and not complicated even though we had 3 different checks. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Thai Tea was not it. Sitting outside was also a little awkward since there were tweakers sitting right in front of the Restaurant, however I understand that this situation is out of the restaurants control.

I've been meaning to try Thai Hut for quite some time... Boy have I been missing out! Don't wait like me. The food has fantastic flavor and the service is outstanding. The restaurant is small but inviting and clean. It feels like a family friend's home. The Chicken Laab is one of the best I've ever tried! Cheers to the chef and many thanks to our server CoCo.

I've only been here once. I wish I could tell you about the food but the staff were so rude I never got the chance to try it. To the point where they asked me to give up my table and get a to go order because I was seated by myself while the rest of my party was walking in from the car. I gave up my table and never looked back. There are plenty of other good places in town to get yummy Thai food. read more

After having a Thai roommate for a couple of years, whose parents sent over Thai spices and he loved to cook, as well as living in Bangkok for awhile, I've had plenty of opportunities to eat Thai food. I'm from out of town, but each time I make it to Redding I make it a point to eat here at least once. I enjoyed every dish I've sampled and their homemade chili hot sauce is a must for me. This has got to be my favorite place to go for Thai food. The pho is fantastic. I like the tempura veggies with shrimp. Spring rolls are rockin. Gotta get here early though because the place is small and fills up fast. That proves how great they are. read more

Driving thru Redding and wanted something light on my stomach, so usually Pho hits the spot. And to find Pho at a Thai place was unusual, but glad we tried it. The Special Pho was spot on, the broth wasn't salty, but very tasty. All the meats & seafood tasted fresh and they slice their beef & fish balls so you can grab it fast with rice noodles. My wife had the dinner special Pad Pak with chicken, she enjoyed her food, but she's easy to please. I have to say that she did finish her food, so that does say.alot! Customer service is very friendly too. We'll look forward to trying their other items next time we're in the area. read more

Consistently the best Thai food in town. I'm there an embarrassing amount lol. The only place in town that REALLY CATERS TO VEGANS! If you ask for no egg they'll make it special with no egg, and even ask you follow up questions about other possibly non vegan ingredients you might not have known were in the dish. What more can you ask for?? And two words: VEGGIE PHO! read more

Love the fact that they really do make it Thai HOT!!! I hate going places that warn me what I ordered is going to be spicy, and it turns out to be mild. Dude, when I say make it spicy, BAMMMMM, crank it up!!! Well Thai Hut's Curry Bowl is just that :) Just writing this review, I am beginning to sweat. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because, my daughter was not a fan of their rice. So I guess some kids don't like the rice, so leave your kids at home and get some fire in the hole!!! read more

While visiting Redding my husband and I decided to eat at Thai Hut. It was busy both inside and in patio. Soon we found out why. The food was great and you get a good amount for the price. The workers are pleasant and friendly. You can't go wrong eating here. When we return to Redding we definitely will eat here again. read more

The glass was dirty but once I got over that, the food was sublime. I had a mussaman chicken curry. All white meat, potaties, carrots, red onions and a sauce with a hint of sour that was worth the visit. The decor is not fine dining but the service and food were as good as you will get. read more

My adult daughter and I were passing through Redding on our way to the Los Angeles area. As I have recently discovered that I really enjoy Thai cuisine, we searched Yelp and found Thai Hut. Fantastic service. The employees were attentive but did not hover. Generous portions. We certainly received more food than we expected for the price. DELICIOUS food. And one can substitute tofu for meat in any of the dishes. I don't normally choose vegetarian options, but eating meat didn't sound like something my gut wanted after driving 9 hours. The Green Curry with Fried Tofu was simply fabulous. The Pad Kapao with Fried Tofu was delicious, but I prefer more flavor with my spicy dishes. I guess I'm a sucker for Green Curry. Thai food is my new favorite these days. Next time I'm in Redding, CA, I have no reason to search for a different Thai restaurant. read more

Love this little place! (Yes, It's actually tiny) I've ordered the Pho twice now and was GREEEAT! Lots of meat and the both was not greasy. So cool that we have decent Thai food here in Redding. The staff was super nice and they have outside seating as well but that doesn't mean much considering it was 105 out there. My only thing against this place is the space itself. The food is awesome so it fills up fast. I don't like crowds but this place is worth the hassle Keep good going read more

My second review, since my first mysteriously went away, thanks Yelp. My main point is that my meal was fine, except for the one cook (might have been the owner/boss) loudly and continuously arguing for the entire duration of the meal. Should have been a quiet, relaxing lunch, but whatever he was saying, he was angry and that did not make for a good eating environment. read more

Unfortunately we had our short ribs swapped with bulgogi beef since they didn't have the short ribs but nonetheless the food was really good and felt homecooked. The service was immaculate and very welcoming. The lady there had a smile the entire time. Definitely worth trying if in the area and wanting some delicous Asian food.

We happened to sat at the table next to the window. And the lady greeted us, gave us the menu, and wiped our table. But then when I glanced at the window, it was full of noodle splashes. I understand maybe they are understaff since it's a small family business, but it did affect the whole dining experience. I had the boat noodle, broth is rich with good flavor. My husband had pho, he liked it. The lemon pepper wings were lemony, I wish it would be more peppery. I thought it would be the dry lemon pepper seasoning. The wings were fried very well, really crispy.

BEST THAI food in Redding. Only thing would be sometimes they are inconsistent (with their rice, as it has been hard before) and the waitresses are nice BUT they sometimes rush WAY too much, and starting walking away before you are even done ordering LOL. They gotta hire another girl. Also, the Thai Tea is WAY too sweet and don't get it with coconut milk. It tastes awful. I usually get the Pho and the pumpkin Curry. BUT I still love this place and their food is hard to beat for the price! read more

The servers are always helpful and the food is fantastic. They have 3 versions of Pho on their menu and none are vegetarian--all made with chicken broth. When I asked if they could make it veg they didn't skip a beat when they said absolutely and gave me a couple of options. It was delicious! It's a small location and is usually pretty busy. I often times will order takeout. They do have a patio that offers more room when the weather permits. read more

Went here for the first time and will definitely be back! My boyfriend said the pho soup is the best he's had and my shrimp drunken noodles were amazing. We sat outside on a cute little patio area our experience here was very relaxing. The waitresses were very cheerful and friendly made us feel right at home. Cant wait to go back! read more

I am a huge Thai cuisine fiend, can't get enough. And Thai hut does not fall short with their dish's. Chicken Curry is great, spring rolls and the peanut sauce are awesome. I don't get to Redding very often but I will make a point to stop here again when passing through. Keep up the good food! read more

I have eaten there 3 times in 2 months. The help (all family or friends I think) are delightful, approachable and knowledgable.Everything I ate was delicious and fresh. BEWARE Springrolls here are either fresh rolled or deep fried (commonly) but, here they're calling spring rolls EGGROLLS. read more

Been a regular with these guys for years! Honestly I've done the same 3 items since I started.. crab wontons, chicken pho (large), and my girlfriend will have curry. This place is bomb! Coco works her butt off we love her service! Must try if your looking for pho :) read more

We had Pho, Green curry, sweet and sour pork and Pad Thai. I have been eating many Thai joints across the world and Thai Hut's taste + service were very good. We are going to stay here 3 nights from tonight and we want to go back there already. Thank you! read more

Had dinner at Thai Hut on Thursday night with 3 friends. Good service and really good food. First time visiting this restaurant and had the pumpkin curry dish. It was delicious. Very reasonable prices and will definitely go back soon. read more
