I was drying my clothes across the street at Laundromat, I offered my friend to have them try the Thai Pad Thai. I ordered and found it very expensive/Over Priced and it was for a regular standard portion NOT Extra large size as Mentioned by a other Review/Comment left here. I asked how much the Thai Coffee was and again it was overpriced! I am Originally from Garden Grove near Little Saigon Vietnamese's Main Center City in O.C. I have Had close friends who owned Thai restaurants and grew up on Pad Thai, Drunken noodles and Moo Sate. My roommate was half Thai and Cambodian, we went to famous Hollywood's "Chao Pryaya" where celebrities' dined. The best Pad Thai Large Size dish was about $4.00 & Thai Coffee was a 1.00.... I cant see spending $6.00 for Pad Thai and over$3.00 for Thai Coffee. The Thai Coffee was weak and very little cream also the Pad Thai was Not like the real Pad Thai but a poor imitation which was not very authentic which my food was made from real cooks from Hancock Thailand. Very Disappointed and I don't think they deserve the hype from people who don't know real Thai Dishes. I, for One will Never Come back... The Old "Nipas" was More Better & authentic but they sold and have new owners, Smaller Size but better & Fresher taste. read more

THANK GOD FOR THE THAI HUT!!!!! The place is always packed and with good reason, the food is exceptional. I always call ahead but on a whim I popped in and ordered on the fly. I took home Yellow Curry, Pumpkin Curry, Cashew Chicken and Spring Rolls. (this is easily enough food for a crowd) When ordering, I asked to omit the bell peppers from the yellow curry. SPECIAL NOTE.... I was asked what I would like to have added in it's place?...Whaaaaaaaatttt???? Too cool! This is the true advantage of having your food cooked to order. I have never been so impressed with customer service, I told the staff I would gladly wait in the patio area but they offered to bring the food to my car. I am looking forward to dining here and having the pho, for I can't imagine such a beautiful dish as take out. I always see very happy faces enjoying massive bowls of this delicious soup. If you have never tried Thai food, this is the best place to start. Everything is delicious and never disappointing. If you like your food spicy, go big and bold, they can do any level of heat that you like and avoid it all together if you choose. 5 very big stars for Thai Hut, great food, great service, great prices! read more

I love Thai food so much, and if you love it just as much as I do, then I recommend this place! I always get the Pad Thai with both chicken and tofu made spicy, and I love it. They don't hold back on the spice just a warning. I also always order the Thai Iced Tea, which is great drink to have while eating something spicy. I always go here whenever I'm in Redding. It is by far the best Thai restraunt there is in Redding, and I have been to many of them in this area. If I could give this place more stars I would. read more

This is one of the best Thai places in Redding. Haven't had a bad meal here. The place is pretty small so we usually do take out. The pho is fantastic. It has a really delicious beefiness to the broth. Can't get enough of it. Also love getting the Chicken Satay skewers with extra sticky rice. The peanut sauce and the marinated chicken are a perfect combination. I wish we had more Thai choices in town, but with the limited selection we do have, Thai Hut is a clear star for the area. read more

We were in Redding overnight on a road trip and stopped here for dinner. We had the red curry, yellow curry, and Thai fried rice, all with chicken. The food was amazing! So good that my son drank the rest of the sauce from the bowls when we were done. The staff were all incredibly friendly. They apologized for the long wait, but we don't mind waiting a little for good food. The place is small and crowded, but they were doing their best to keep up with everything. Our water glasses were refilled promptly. We were very pleasantly surprised by our experience at Thai Hut and will definitely eat there if we ever road trip through the area again. read more

One of my favorite Thai places in town!! The workers there are on top of it! So nice and helpful. The food there is SO GOOD! Try the Kaowsoy! The place is small but WOAH.. you will be satisfied! Best place to get pho in Redding, hands down. Weird to say that for a Thai restaurant, but there you have it. I also love their mussaman curry... a lot. The portion sizes are big. I fight to finish because it's so good. The place is kinda small so sometimes it's too full to get a seat, and you have to try again another day. What they lack in atmosphere and decor, they make up for in hospitality and quality food. Basic, homemade, spicy Thai food. They make everything to order, so it hasn't been sitting around in a big pot all day. There spicy wings are great, kind of like Pok Pok wings in Portland. Fantastic service. Large portions of well prepared food. Clean. Fried tofu appetizer ($7 or 8) was served with a tasty sauce. Medium spicy chicken curry $9 or 10) was too hot for me, so they brought some extra coconut milk to sweeten it. Gobs of chicken, potatoes , carrots, rice, dinner salad, 2 egg rolls, and dinner salad. Chicken pho ($8-9) delicious broth, loads of chicken, with a side of cilantro and sprouts to add as desired. Total for 2 was $27 before tip, and we took half of it home. Well, this little gem was everything and more. Hubby and I had freshly cooked crab and cheese wontons. Hubby ordered yellow curry rice with pineapple and cashews. He also ordered a small bowl of combination pho with beef, pork and tripe. Did I say small? A plate of goodies arrived for him to add to the pho. I ordered a dinner special. It was D8, which was vegetable dish with house garlic sauce. With the dinner special, one is also served salad, rice and spring rolls. Dinner special was only $9.99. The food and portion size was OFF THE CHART!!!! The restaurant is small and was totally jamming. People just kept arriving. The service was beyond super awesome and just like lightening. Servers were absolutely lovely and very courteous. Our server, Coco was such a bubbly and lovely young lady. Portions are huge; we have enough leftovers for lunch today. I ordered pad se eww with beef, they beef was cooked well but no flavor, the noodles were over cooked and very slimy, the broccoli was under cooked and I can't even describe the rest.
