y experience with the owner yesterday was unfortunately very negative, unpleasant, even disturbing…read more I walked into the shop and waited patiently until he finished tidying up the cutlery and upon asking me what I would require I greeted him friendly and with a smile and said in the kindest form of the German language that I would like to order a wedding cake. He continued tidying up and fussing around and with unhidden irritation asked me for the date. I told him that that would be 31. August which was almost 6 weeks from yesterday. He said that he does NOT have time at the moment because he needs to take care after three very fussy (imagine my eyes getting bigger hier) customers. Then he said and twice repeated himself (again constantly fussing around and showing irritation beyond limits #notexaggerated) that I should call and make an appointment. I said (friendly and smiling) that I am there at this very moment, he is there at this very moment and we could make an appointment at this very moment and that I more than understand that we need more time to discuss the details. He said that he could offer me Thursday or maximum Friday because it is only a small shop and he does not even know what next week would bring (#speechless #LOL). And again he said that I should call and make an appointment unpatiently waiting for me to quit the idea of orderinga cake at his shop, I guess .. !! It was beyond my comprehension why I received that treatment, I can, of course, only speculate, but it was certainly NOT because of my attitude. I DID keep it nice and professional until the end though. Dear Mr. Manager/ Owner, respectfully and just for your information my education and long years of experience and training is in the sphere of Tourism, Hospitality Management and F&B. This kind of attitude and treatment is disgraceful and beyond any quality of customer management and satisfaction . We all have our good and bad days, we all just want to hide and go away from fussy customers sometimes, we all know how difficult and challenging F&B (let alone when you are a small business owner) could be. They gave us the wrong beers, already opened, and refused to give us the correct beers unless we bought them. Finally, they use ordinary hotdogs for their red currywurst. This is a tourist trap. What was even more intolerable was very warm beer. That is inexcusable in Germany.
