The menu is mouth watering and after deliberating for a while I opted for the duck spring rolls and soy sauce. A great start to the evening meal. Next up was Thai Prawn curry with Jasmine rice and I hardly muttered a word to my partner other than mouthing ummmm's and 'tasty'! All of the dishes were presented beautifully with flowers carved out of vegetables. The service was top notch, with the waiters and waitresses being attentive and friendly. For the main course the green curry is to die for! Prices are quite reasonable (about £6/£7 for a main course). Set menus are also available. Staff are really friendly. The decor is fairly traditional and not really my cup of tea, although the chairs are very comfortable! If you fancy somewhere more modern the same people also run a Thai restaurant in Quorn in Leicestershire which is much more funky, modern and upmarket - although that's also reflected in the prices. Service is faultless, as soon as you enter (no matter how busy they are) they acknowledge you. Takeaway or to eat in the restaurant. The food is very tasty with plenty of flavour and value for money. My favourite is Thai Green curry and I always ask for it mild (cant take hot food, red face ha ha) I recommend one of the Satay Chicken platters to start (the sharing ones are good with a large group) One of my favourite places to dine and you get sweets at the end when you pay :)

The menu also has a handy chilli rating from none to three, if you choose three, good luck! Our impressively presented dishes arrived, each adorned with a generous side salad. The chicken, fish, duck, aubergine and vegetable dishes we had ordered surprisingly complemented each other very well. The rice was sticky and absorbed the flavour of the food well. Whilst not huge portions, all five of us felt we had eaten well. A good range of desserts and a pot of Jasmine tea finished off a great evening. Be aware though Baan Thai is not a cheap restaurant, particularly if you go for the set meals.
