All the ladies are amazing! From the top of my head, I had Amie, Bonnie, Cleo, and Cherry. Never had a bad/mediocre experience here. I've been here 8 times already, and so far so great! My most recent visit yesterday was with Cleo, and she was a miracle worker on my shoulder/neck/arm knots. Cleo even did a mini session of cupping to help ease my knots. I also booked a couple's session around Valentine's, and my boyfriend told me it was the best deep tissue massage he's ever had. Booking: You can book on their website, Yelp, or call. I normally call. Expect to get same-day appointments during weekdays, but call ahead for Fri-Sun. Parking: Pretty open plaza, so has a lot of parking spots. Shouldn't be any trouble even at that plaza's "busiest" hours. Accommodations: These ladies are so sweet. If you are uncomfortable with something, just let them know beforehand. There were times I had sweaty palms/feet (I'd get embarrassed lol) or specifically asked them to not go near any sensitive areas in the beginning since I had uncomfortable experiences before. I quickly stopped requesting this, since every lady I had respected my special requests and never made me feel uncomfortable (even with my sweatiness). COVID Precautions: Super clean. They make you wash your hands prior, and then themselves wipe down your hands/feet with a damp towel in the beginning of the massage. I had the most horrible massage in my life this evening, Sep 22, a 7:30-9pm session booked under my name, Gabrielle. My masseur was either extremely unprofessional or extremely lazy - she ignored my request for pressure on neck and shoulders but rather squeezed my legs in a most languid manner 80% of the time. When I asked her to apply more pressure, she simply replied, 'oh that would mean you need a deep tissue massage instead of Thai', and had the audacity to really charge me for deep issue instead of Thai while delivering none of the two! Your existence is a disgrace to Thailand or Thai massage in comparison to some of your colleagues who delivered boundless strengths with exquisite Thai massage techniques worthy of Nobel Thai Massage Prizes. I genuinely thought so when I was attended by Sherry and Suchada (God bless these professionals) from the same place. They are worthy of my 50% tips, but not you. To manager: please don't schedule someone so amateur just because it's the evening - someone who used feet rather than hand 70% of the time - who gave me a severe headache from my suffocating all the screams of longings of all the pain points that were not reachable by anything but fingers (maybe I'm not worthy of her fingers?), who also put her entire industry to shame by saying after the session, "you need to see a doctor, you know, with your stiff back." The evening clientele are usually often the pickiest, especially someone who'd sacrificed their Friday evening for a much desired massage after a long week. My heart and soul ached for it and now I wanted to puke. Honestly, dear store manager, please do not hurt your professionals' livelihood by scheduling someone so amateur for evenings, or ever. You've let someone with chronic back pains (a long-term customer) down and send her to see doctors as your amateur suggested or visit other professional blessed with consistency and the knowledge to differ Thai from Deep Tissue. read more

Can't believe I've been living in Irvine this whole time and just discovered this place yesterday. It's been a crazy week and I have been on my feet a majority of the time. I was lucky that Thai Moon Spa was able to accommodate me last minute with a spot open for the evening. Olive was an amazing massage therapists. She relieved so much pain. My whole body was pretty tense before my session. The next morning, I couldn't feel any more knots in my back and felt more flexible. I did the 90 minute session for $100. It was worth every penny. Let me start by saying I've been to many spas throughout the country. A few were amazing and some not so good. Thai Moon Spa falls somewhere in the middle. Massage was average and prices were fair. They didn't strike me as the friendliest staff, just sort of all business. I'm used to spa receptionists / massage therapists being a bit more personable. I didn't get that at Thai Moon. Staff here are amazing. Polite, and very focused on working on your areas of pain or discomfort. Always professional and pleasant. Been here so many times now, and tried different therapists, but man, everyone I have had seems great, so don't worry about who you get, they are all excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. I had a wonderful experience here. I decided last minute to get a massage because I was having a lot of stress and tension, I am a healthcare worker so it's hard for me to find time to relax. Booking the appointment was quick and seamless, everything was done online through the Yelp app which was very convenient. Wow, this was quite the massage experience! I had a very long week of work and events and my body was definitely feeling it by Sunday. My usual mobile masseuse wasn't available (and I was in dire need for a massage), so I searched Yelp for a good spot that took a same day appointment. Thai Moon Spa showed up very close to home, in the top results and with high ratings. I saw their website allowed to book online appointments and even select your therapist. I wasn't sure what to make of it because all the therapists were female and the prices were very reasonable. I called to check if appointments were available (since sometimes aren't in real time), and I received a friendly greeting with good news that they could take me that evening. Score! I found the place and parked - it's across the street from John Wayne airport (so I imagine it's on the main drag and/or many airline crew frequent here for a massage). The lobby area was clean and spacious, I got my temperature checked and completed a pre-screen questionnaire. Though I initially signed up for a Thai massage, the receptionist suggested I get the combination massage (which includes oil - and I'm so glad I did!). I was escorted to my massage room and Bonnie was my masseuse. She was friendly and soothing, and did an incredible job on my whole body! I heard my body crack and could feel the tension being released. Though she asked me if there were any specific areas I wanted her to cover, she let my body do the talking, as she ended up telling me which parts were most tight. I asked for firm pressure... and she did just that. I was very pleased with my service, the facility, the staff, the location, and the prices. I play a lot of tennis and have been achy for a while. It hit me that I had not had a massage for almost a year! Two friends recommended Thai Moon Spa so I gave it a try. I had a deep tissue massage with Nancy. 1.5 hours and it was amazing! I walked out without any of my aches that I had before I went. And it lasted three-four weeks! She is fantastic at deep tissue but I have a feeling she'd be great at a normal pressure or a straight Thai massage as well. She always asked if the pressure was good which was nice. I would go back there in a minute! There is plenty of parking and the office is exceptionally clean. TLDR: Nice facility, outstanding service, walk-ins okay, reasonable prices. Get the combination massage which includes Thai, swedish, hot stone, and reflexology. Great pressure and stretching! Thai Moon Spa and Iyara Bodywork's are both very close to where I live. I gave Iyara 5 stars for their combination massage because it is advertised as a combination of Swedish and thai massage and they do an excellent job delivering the services as described. However, I am willing to drive a little further to go to Thai Moon Spa from now on because I prefer their version of combination massage which combines Thai, Swedish, hot stone, and reflexology massage. I prefer an intense and painful massage to be honest - I want them to stretch my muscles and provide myofascial release. They are strong here and there is a lot of stretching incorporated in the service even during the Swedish massage portion. Both places were the same price so it comes down to personal preference. Their facilities are a bit fancier than Iyara, although I care more about the massage than the appearance and both places are very clean. Was able to do a last minute appointment for two which was nice. They have someone to pick up the phones and text you a confirmation as well. read more

I have been fortunate enough to try quite a few thai massage selections around the Orange County area but have often found that there were inconsistencies as to customer service, availability, convenience, and cleanliness. And then one rainy day made an appointment at Thai Moon Spa and it all changed. Walked through the doors and found an airy, open, and modern waiting area. The individual behind the counter asked me if I wanted to utilize the restroom and afterwards was guided to my room which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I was asked who my therapist was and was surprised to find the lady who greeted me at the front was also the therapist - her name was Apple. Apple asked me from the start what ailed me and how much pressure should she apply - one would think this is a common everyday inquiry but would be surprised how many therapists just start without even asking. She placed a comfortable pillow under my legs and started to get to work. I am not the easiest of customers as I prefer an extremely strong form of therapist and often that results in high elbow usage but was greatly appreciative that Apple mixed methods using fingers, elbows, feet, and stretching which is the signature of the traditional Thai massage. She was very strong to boot as was sore for two days which is the most amazing of feelings and reveals the skills of the person who performed the massage. Please be aware that they will charge 3.5% for credit card usage but you can always pay by Venmo (in this day age it is a welcome option). And otherwise the only other drawback may be that price for a 1-hour sessions starts at $70 may be slightly higher than the expected $55-$65 average but there are no hidden fees and they are not looking to try and upsell you on any additional charges. But this is a non-issue as this is now my go-to place for massage and the only real drawback is that I wish my appointment was longer. I will most certainly be back as a regular. read more

This is by far one of my favorite spas in orange county! This spa is located in a quaint strip mall that is very clean and has plenty of free parking, which is great. Booking my reservation here for me and my partner was really easy and I didn't have a single issue at all! Inside the welcome area, there is some water and tea as well as some little snacks and light reading for you to do while you wait for your appointment. There's always someone really friendly at the reception desk taking down your name and making sure that your appointment is ready to go. Once you've been called for your appointment, a person at reception leads you into your massage room if you're going to get a massage. I ordered a 1-hour full body massage so I was in one of the first rooms. Each room is very clean, organized with soothing music playing, nice lighting, great aroma, etc. They provide you with enough privacy to change out of your clothes and get into your massage bed before the masseuse actually arrives to be in the massage. She asked me what areas were the most concern for me and how much pressure I wanted, which is great. The whole massage went so quickly because it was so good and I was really sad when it was over. Afterwords they give you a lot of time to get ready and get out. Since my appointment was later in the evening, I wasn't able to use bath facilities, but if you end up having an appointment I recommend coming earlier so you can really use the whole spa experience. Next time I'm back in Irvine or in orange county, I will definitely make sure to come back here. Loved every minute of it! read more
