My husband and I went here because we were craving Thai food and it was great! We were served pretty quickly which was nice and the quality of food was good too! I like how this place was playing slow lofi or jazz like music. The employees there seemed nice as well and were attentive :)

    Thai fried rice was excellent

Great Thai food with a clean interior and good service. Food taste and presentation were on point. Definitely worth a visit.

Very warm, welcoming, and attentive staff. The food was very good and tasted authentic. This is a good place for dinner for two or larger parties.

We had a group of five (two adults, two preteens, one child). We were immediately sat at a large table. Our server was extremely friendly and was very patient as we browsed the menu. She kept our drinks full the entire experience. The food came out hot and was absolutely delicious! I was honestly not expecting how amazing it was. We will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely amazing, I loved everything I tried. Their Thai tea was also so delicious. It's a little more expensive, everything being about $17 and up, but you get a lot of food and it's very tasty food. The servers were all kind and helpful.

Came here as I was craving Thai so did a take-out order. I appreciate how fast the service is here. The minute I walked in my order was already ready. Shoutout to this place for also being accommodating and giving me extra dry spice on the side. I ordered a chicken red curry and it was delicious. Only thing is that the sticky rice that came with it was a bit more on the dry side. However, will definitely be back!

So good. The service was decent but the food was delicious. Came to the area to get some adjustments made to my son's football helmet and it was time for lunch. So thankful we stopped in here to eat. They have a lot for parking and the bathrooms were clean.

Service and the interior were both very good. Albeit the restaurant suffers from winter door syndrome where people coming in let in cold air so try and sit away from the entry in the winter. Huge menu with many Thai choices. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. I wasn't impressed by the protein at all. While the dish looked great the chicken was colder than the noodles and a bit dry. The noodles and sauce were great and were warm and the sauce tasted great. The food did come out quickly though and overall the experience was pretty good, but the chicken just wasn't as good as I hoped for.

Decent thai food but nothing "special" in my opinion. Kinda on the saucy side for me. But good flavor.

It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

I stopped by for a takeout lunch and was greeted by clean tables, a friendly smile, and lots of tempting menu suggestions. Thai Basil has parking lot, and you can choose to dine in or grab your meal to go. I went with the Massaman curry, ordered it medium hot with tofu, and was delighted when it arrived with a spring roll, salad, and soup. Talk about a lunch. Most Thai places only toss in a spring roll or soup, but here, they know how to treat a hungry guest. I ate my food and felt full and happy, ready for a nap. Next time I am turning up the heat and trying it hot, because I like my curry with a little more kick. This curry had a fun twist with a touch of sweetness, pineapple, nuts, and a few surprise ingredients I had never seen before. The food was fantastic and I will absolutely be back when I run out of new to me places in town. The portions are generous, the price is right, and Thai Basil just earned a spot in my Thai foodie hall of fame. Thai Basil, you have a new fan. The only hiccup was that most of my soup took a little trip in the bag, thanks to a sneaky/broken lid that didn't stay put. Thankfully, the bit that survived was delicious!

From the ceiling, to the bar, to the plants, everything had a Valentine's Day theme and it was so fun. Our rice was even shaped into a heart! There is a big, shared parking lot behind the strip of businesses with plenty of parking and we walked in through the back. We were seated immediately by the hostess and had some tasty miso soup brought out along with waters. Two of us also ordered Prosecco and we could hear them opening the bottle up at the bar, so it was fresh and bubbly. They also allowed one of my friends to substitute silver noodles (her fave) into 3 of the different lunch special options for a slight up charge. I ordered the mussaman curry with chicken and it was perfect on such a cold afternoon. The only downside to our lunch was that I asked for medium-hot and didn't taste any spice. The silver noodle dish my friend ordered was really good, but a lot of food, so we ended up getting to-go boxes for the rest of our lunch and they were just as good for lunch the next day. Our other friend ordered the cashew nut and ate most of that, minus some rice, which she put in my to-go box for my lunch the next day. The lunch special is such a good deal- it comes with soup, salad, spring roll, and your choice of entree for one affordable price. I can't wait to come back and try something new!
