    Pad thai with tofu
    Jeremy S.

We went here for dinner and got the chicken satay (five skewers), pad thai with fried tofu, and red curry with pork. There weren't many people in the restaurant, and we got seated after the server took care of a pickup order. Although there weren't many people inside the restaurant at the time, it took a little while for the dishes to arrive. Also, they brought over the appetizer and the red curry at the same time. The red curry also didn't have bamboo shoots as shown in the menu. However, they were able to take back the curry and put in the bamboo shoots. They were also a little slow with providing the check. Despite some challenges with the service, the red curry tasted great. The Thai basil added fragrance and made each bite flavorful. The jasmine rice that went with the meal was too mushy for my liking. It's a matter of preference, but I'd rather not have rice watery. The pad thai was a little too sweet for our liking, but the fried tofu tasted good.

I've seen this place plenty of times and I have been curious to try it. They have signs outside of being voted best of OC in yelp and trip advisor so we had to try them! They are small local business located in a big strip mall with a lot of parking spots available. They have a host stand right at the entrance. The ambiance is cozy and family friendly. I did notice that some of the artwork on the walls are for sale from local artists that I thought was a very nice touch to help give visibility to the community. The place is not too big but tables don't feel cramped. The waitress was very patient with us as we looked through the menu. We ordered black iced tea which tasted freshly brewed and refreshing. We started with the egg rolls that were very crisp and a generous portion. They were good, but my bf likes them with less veggie filling and more protein. For our main dishes we ordered: chicken pad Thai, mixed Thai fried rice and chicken mango curry. The chicken pad Thai was the best out of what we ordered. The noodles were perfectly cooked and everything tasted delicious. The mixed fried rice was also good with the beef being our favorite protein on it. Lastly the mango curry had a good flavour but it was too watery compared to what I'm used to and the chicken didn't have too much flavour. It was the impression of it having been boiled separately and added to the curry later. All of these didn't really have any spice to it. The curry is the only one that had a hint of kick at the end. We would've liked to have some hot sauce to add some spice to it but there were none on the tables. We didn't ask for any either. Overall the food was good for the area, but I would not say the best. They do have a great value for money and quality. The portions are very generous for everything so we had a big baby to take home.

Came for lunch today. Not too familiar with Thai chow, so I requested Pad Thai because it's the only one familiar to me. WAS DELICIOUS. Especially with the Thai chilis in "fish sauce" as the lovely staff lady said. You can order mild-Med- or Spicy. I got Spicy and it was typical spicy I'd say 6 out of 10 on my scale--meaning you can feel the heat but it's nowhere near uncomfortable. The Thai chili adds a TON of flavor. Highly recommend all of it! Will be back.

My favorite hole in the wall! I have yet to have Thai food as good as they have it here! My go to is the chicken sataay as their peanut sauce is pure perfection. My boyfriend got the combination pad see ew and he could not stop eating it, even when he was full. We tried something new and got the appetizer sample. It was nice to try their crowd pleaser (popular) plates all in one. Lastly we finished with the mango sticky rice. This always hits the spot at the end of the meal. Light and full of flavor. Our server was kind and didn't hover over us. We noticed the servers watch from a distance instead of constantly checking on the table. This was nice as it was date night and it was refreshing not having to break our conversation multiple times.

Came here for lunch, was craving some Thai food today! Got the cashew chicken with Jasmine rice, Delicious, wish it had a bit more of a kick as far as spice goes. But it was tasty and filling. Also ordered the yellow curry but I forgot to take a picture of it so bummed. The server she was really friendly and smiled a lot. Fantastic service here, clean and they had some cute decorations surrounding the restaurant. Will be back here for lunch again. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha be kind to everyone

I used to eat at Thai Specialty many moons ago. I was in the area and decided to eat here and see if the food quality is still the same. The decor has been tastefully updated and very welcoming. It was the end of your typical lunch rush and I was seated immediately. They have lunch specials and I ordered my go to, pad woon sen with chicken. This dish comes with a veggie egg roll. It was as I remembered it, so good!!! There's a reason Thai speciality has been around all these years - food is awesome and their service is excellent!

Got takeout from Thai Specialty and received two items, here is a breakdown: Pad Thai w/ Tofu: the pad thai here is good but not great. If you're in the mood for pad Thai in this area it will get the job done, but there are definitely better around. Chicken Satay: this was my favorite of the two dishes. Flavorful and moist chicken skewers with a peanut dipping sauce. The peanut sauce was rich and delicious and went well with the chicken. Overall, this is a solid restaurant for Thai, it won't blow you away but it will get the job done. The service was fast and efficient.

I love their chicken pad thai, but I also love their popcorn chicken. No joke, if they made their popcorn chicken a meal, and added a side of fries, that's what I would be getting every time. Anyways, my wife eat here every time we have a Thai food craving. I think I've spent more money on this restaurant than I probably have at anything else in downtown Brea. The service is always quick and helpful, and although the restaurant itself is small, it's always clean with a warm ambiance. We order Cheese wanton -1/5 the "fried" wanton were served room temp on the out side barely crisp - and still cold on the inside. I was about to request they reheat them but my kids would rather die then draw attention Popcorn chicken - 2/5 crispy and hot but way too salty My kids ate the apps as they were hungry - both apps were served with sweet chili sauce out of a jar. We also order the shaken beef -2/5 the beef pieces was pretty good tender and flavorful the tomatoes in the dish were still cold in the center - the rice was average - the reason this didn't get a higher score they served wet salad with a sad dressing with made the bottom of the rice soggy and water down the beef sauce Pad see ew - 1/5 over cooked, soggy and over sauced - and still managed to be bland (is there even fish sauce in your kitchen?) Pad krapow -2/5 we didn't opt for a $3 dollar egg but it was the most Thai tasting dish - well seasoned- but not what one thinks of when you order Pad Kra Pow Over 1/5 - even with 2 hungry teenagers we didn't finish the food my son was like can you fix this if we take it home? Service - both servers were nice however they didn't really interact with us and we had to wave them down (in an empty restaurant) if we needed any thing - it wasn't till the lady was standing over us while I was attempting to pay that she spoke to us and asked if everything was good and if we needed anything else. After tax and tip almost $100 for food that had to fix at home

Ingredients were definitely old because the chicken in the fried rice smelled bad and not lying or exaggerating here but my kid just spat it out saying it tastes like poop. Padthai and padseew tasted the same with each other which I have never experienced at any other thai place. They should NOT taste the same. They all taste more like chinese food than thai food. No wonder they packed me that sriracha packages instead of sambal and pickled thai chilis. I am never going back here.
