And the restaurant also featured a nice ambiance with a staff that was friendly and quick. It's an average Thai. One of the dishes it's pho, but it's definitely not the regularly pho. It's dark broth and spicy, very different taste. The service wasn't very good, it took longer to get order and there was no welcoming feelings at the restaurant. read more

It's a cute little restaurant in a strip mall so there is ample parking, the space is small but super cute inside. I had the drunken noodles without the green beans and added shrimp, and it was delicious! The doodles were cooked perfectly. The dish was not spicy so I asked for a spice tray which had 4 different options of spice additives. I liked the chili paste the best! The bathroom was a little dingy but overall was decently clean. A cozy, efficient dining area. Minimal decor which is attractive. It doesn't overwhelm the room. Good idea! Invited to join a couple from our HOA, we were enthused to further our love for Thai cuisine. This place exceeded our expectations. We had a very kind server. Her English skills were minimal, but we easily made do with universal signs for numbers and pointing to the two billing parties seated at our table of four. I ordered the Sesame Chicken. BEAUTIFULLY served - - pleasing to the eye and the palate. No photos - sorry - but I leave that talent to others. It was a VERY generous serving. I am not exaggerating when I say I left VERY SATISFIED with eating a fourth or a third of the dish. Looking forward to enjoying my leftovers today and/or tomorrow. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Rice. Our server added a plate of their hottest sauce - four thimble sized containers. My husband - an aficionado of all things "flavorful" enjoyed THREE containers on his food. HA! HA! As a footnote - - do yourself a favor. Order the Rangoon. I ordered take out from Thai Spice last night and it was yummy. I got the appetizer combo for me and Mr. G. The crab Rangoon were smaller but you could see the crab in them. The spring rolls were good and so were the egg rolls. I got Mr. G. the Thai Pad combo. He loved it. You can customize and I got his medium hot, and he said it was perfect. He was able to get 3 meals from his serving. You can customize heat level on your dishes: mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot. I got the Pinapple Fried Rice mild. I think next time I will get medium hot. Big portion, lots of big chicken chunks and shrimp. Of course you can't go to a Thai restaurant without getting a Thai Iced Coffee. What is nice is you can get more or less ice. I got 25% ice. There is seating inside both tables and booths. I can see me and Mr. G. eating there in person. They do a good take out business and are well organized for both. We ordered and were told itd be ready in 20 minutes. An hour later we were still waiting. No explanation. Didnt care. Didnt speak to us. Didnt hand us our order when ready. She sat it on the table behind us without saying a word and walked away. Very very rude and pretentious. Other customers were upset as well. We ordered well before everyone. They had one couple in the restaurant when we arrived. Anytime a new eat in customer came they sat them and they got their food before all of us even though we had been there for over an hour. I previously thought "oh theyre just overwhelmed" on previous visits. Nope! They are horrible people who should jot have a restaurant. Its not a language barrier issue either. came here on a saturday evening around 5:30/6 and our party of 3 was seated immediately. definitely a smaller business and not a lot of seating but that made it a more quiet and personal experience. we ordered the chicken fried rice (medium spice) and the chicken drunken noodles (normal and medium spice). the medium spice chicken fried rice and the regular drunken noodles were very delicious but the mediums spice drunken noodles were very wayyy spicier than i was expecting and i couldn't finish them. next time i would probably just get the spice rack to control the spice level. read more

A great little Thai joint tucked away in a strip center. The sweet is sour sauce is amazing - like, you need a straw to drink it amazing! My favorite part of the meal was dessert. I met my friend & his mom at Thai Spice because it is one of his favorites. It was a very hot day. I arrived right as they open after their afternoon break. The last time we tried to eat here, it was closed. We didn't realize it closed midday & reopened, so we dined nearby. I arrived before the other two. I reviewed the menu and grabbed a drink. It was comfortable & not busy yet. The menu I was touching was visibly not clean with debris also trapped behind the plastic. I recommend just reviewing the menu on your phone. I ordered the Pad Thai. It was too sweet for me (maybe too much sauce). My left overs with added veggies was improved. So, I will try something different in the future. My friend ordered crab fried rice (which I had been eyeing, lol). And, his mother ordered the Spring Rolls, which were substantial & a refreshing summer option! The crab Rangoon was good as well. As the restaurant got busier, probably due to the door opening & body heat, it felt fairly warm by the time we finished eating. If this is a dining concern, I'd recommend their takeout option. I took a work colleague from St. Louis here because it was easy access from I-70 on his way into town. I had the tamarind chicken and it was tasty. Not too salty and heavy and also not too spicy for my palate. He had the pineapple fried rice and really enjoyed it. The service was quick. This is the place that made me fall in love with Thai food. Tucked away in a small strip center across from Costco. It's warm and comfortable inside, and always feels very clean. The service is just exactly what I want. You are greeted immediately, offered drinks, your order is taken, and delicious food arrives generally within about 10 minutes. They check in on you, but never hover. We've ordered many things on the menu and everything has been fantastic. We always start with the Egg Rolls, which are truly the best I've had anywhere. The Sweet Chili sauce that comes with it is addictive. Also love the Drunken Noodles, Chili Chicken, Trio Chicken, and Island Garlic Pork. Hmm! 1st Thai place I've visit here in Independence. I don't taste Thai here. The chicken tasted boiled, the veggies tasted like frozen dipped in hot water. I understand blanched but they were still cold inside. No steam whatsoever was coming from the food so there was nothing hot about my dish. No seasoning either. So very bland. Order tea, but no honey to enjoy it with. No the dumpling soup I totally will give a thumbs up. Nice and hot, not the least bit salty and seasoned perfectly. I called in one hour ahead from I-70 Looking to pick good Thai food, as described in the reviews. When I arrived, I was told she was unsure of my order (we spent 15 minutes on the phone going over it 3 times), and besides, she wanted it hot for me, so she didn't have it prepared. I paid for it.
