We ordered the Golden Flowers (crab wontons, these were some of the best I've had), Pad Eggplant, and the Peanut Lovers With chicken - the portions were great, the price was reasonable the only reason why I knock it down a star was the Pad Eggplant felt a little light on eggplant but was otherwise a great dish. Ok, So I went back again and had the same thing I ordered the last time I was there. Why didn't I try something new? I guess the Peanut Thai sauce has an addictive ingredient in it....OoOooor they are playing brainwashing music in the background that made me do it. Either way..It just wasn't the same. Sure..it was good, but I think they forgot to add the spice. I do like a little heat in my meal, so this was really mild for my taste buds to really enjoy again.I was kind of bummed. I used to really like this place. Last week, they gave me overly salty golden flowers (literally so salty that I couldn't eat them). I called and they gave me a credit for those. I went in last night and got pad Thai to go using the credit that I received from the golden flowers. As I was eating my leftovers today, I nearly swallowed a thin piece of metal that was an inch long. It is thicker than aluminum foil, almost like a bristle from a brush. Mind you, I had used plastic forks last night and today (so there was no metal at all on my end). That was the final straw for me. If I had swallowed that, I could have ended up with some serious problems. read more

The food here is... bad. Like really bad. Ordered take out, so I can't really speak on the service. Ordered the basil fried rice and there may be one leave of basil, I'm not really sure where the egg is either, and I'm currently counting 5 slices of pepper. On top of that, there's no flavor. Over all the food has been pretty good, the wait can be a bit of a pain with both getting to go and dining in. Sometimes it's a hit or miss if they're swamped or not. The staff has always been very nice and pleasant. The food has always been pretty good but sometimes can be a little under seasoned, and the Thai Tea can be a little too sweet. This is my favorite thai place in Vancouver! Their appetizers are delicious, I highly recommend the chicken satay and golden flowers. The peanut sauce is addictive, I buy extra just to put on my fried rice. They take great care in preparing their food, they are always willing to make adjustments in ingredients or spice level. I recently had to switch from tofu to chicken as my main protein and their chicken is wonderfully prepared, they always have white meat chicken breast in their dishes which I greatly appreciate. I'm am giving this place a 2 star review, only because the food is alright. I will no longer be ordering or dining in from this place. The staff is so incredibly rude and disrespectful that I cannot look past it anymore. They act as though I am interrupting them every time I come in to pick up an order and it is this way EVERY TIME. This used to be my absolute favorite Thai place in the whole Portland and greater Portland area and I have recommended the place to numerous people. Unfortunately my last experience was very different to previously. I ordered at the counter as usual but the staff were new, not friendly and the music was louder than ever. I ordered the Massamun curry with chicken hot. This is a dish I've had more time than I can remember. This time however it came with overcooked carrots, ZERO peanuts and ZERO heat. There are only 4 ingredients in the curry except for the sauce and 1 of them was totally missing. I read that the owner has changed and I totally believe it. Ordered from Thai Terrace through Door Dash. The lemongrass chicken salad was AMAZING. Actual lemongrass rings throughout, cilantro, limey, and the chicken was just so tasty. I got it medium spicy and they got the heat perfectly. Everything tasted fresh. I wasn't too big of a fan of the avocado shrimp rolls. The rice paper wrap was strange tasting. The combination of smushed avocado and smush consistancy of rice paper wraps just has a weird effect on my mouth lol read more

Belle is a lovely girl and so nice. She always has a glowing personality! There are a lot of great Thai Food places our there but this place kind of takes it beyond. I brought my grandmother here and she loved the Pineapple Fried Rice (with shrimp). Everything's great here and what sets them apart is they have A LOT to pick from; Specials Menu especially.... if you have the money, go for something on there. It will not disappoint. Have ordered here several times and have usually been satisfied. This just happened: Ordered delivery tonight. When it was delivered, they completely left off one of our dishes (garden curry noodles). We know for certain we ordered it because the gentleman who originally answered the phone very specifically asked what meat and how spicy we wanted it. They did not charge us for it, but we still WANTED it, so there shouldn't have been an issue with us paying for it and them delivering the missing dish, since it was THEIR error. My roommate called back. A lady answered the phone this time and right off the bat, did not want to listen (it was on speakerphone, so I heard the whole conversation). She was really abrupt and kept interrupting my roommate as he tried to explain they left off something we ordered. She pulled our ticket and read back what they charged us for. She was really having a difficult time understanding that we knew we weren't charged for it but that our order was taken incorrectly. We were missing something that we ordered, we wanted to pay for it. How hard is that? After a third time of him nicely attempting to explain, she somewhat seemed to get it but then told him that they have a large party in the restaurant and now they were not delivering. Seriously? It was really one of the rudest conversations I have ever heard between a business and a customer, a repeat customer at that. Their food has been decent in the past, definitely not the best Thai food we have ever had, but good enough for us to keep ordering when we're in the mood for delivery. This time what food they did manage to deliver - the pad eggplant, tom-kha soup (I threw this away), and mango sticky rice - was terrible. At first I created an account on yelp just so I could review this place because the food was so amazing. The waiting staff was friendly and checked on me and my friends so often that I felt like we had personal butler's. Such friendly people. But first, I decided to read the reviews of others to see if my positive experience was shared. And I found a highly critical view that, wouldn't you know it, was from someone else in the restaurant as we were eating. And I feel responsible for anyone that is deciding on whether or not they should come to this restaurant to tell you that Maggie R's review is a complete lie. Because my friends and I were there to watch how disrespectful he treated the waiting staff. Let me explain: First of all, they are complaining the restaurant is white washed. It's supposed to be americanized thai food. But here is when the blatant lies of the reviewer start to show. Yes, he asked for a spicy dish. My friends and I remember this because he made a huge deal of boring the waitress with all the spicy food that he ate in his life while she had other tables to wait. It was a little embarrassing just to sit next to. Then when the waitress checked back on their table, he practically made a scene complaining how it wasn't spicy enough. Instead of simply just asking for more spice. I absolutely don't understand why people have to ruin other diner's experiences and the waitresses mood by handling simple matters in such a foul way. Here is where Maggie's lie gets out of hand. He says that the chef loudly groaned "oh my god!" And then started bashing them in thai. Two reasons I know this is a lie. 1) at this point my friends and I were focused on this table next to us because they caused such a scene already. And I know they couldn't hear the chef say anything because our table was closer to the kitchen and we heard nothing. But even more so, is that he made a point of talking in Thai to another waitress that brought him back his food. And my friend (who has spoken fluent thai since he was born) was nearly laughing at how bad Maggie's thai was. My friend said it was very obvious he was still learning how to speak it. So there is no way he understood the thai of the chef. And my friend even translated for us that Maggie just sat there complaining while the waitress apologized for everything. No "haughty" attitude. And the final lie? Maggie complains that his food had a full head of lettuce and that the portions were tiny. This is the craziest lie of all. Because him and his girlfriend (who I'm assuming is Maggie) didn't even get a plate with lettuce on it. And they both got to-go boxes because they barely finished half of their food! And you know what the best part of Maggie's review is? They have 7 total reviews and 4 of them are 1 stars. This couple loves to just complain for the sake of complaining. My father thought me to appreciate the hard work that people around you put in. I wish this man had received that same life lesson. Please people. I know Yelp is your way to see if you will enjoy a restaurant, but sometimes you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt. Especially Maggie R's review. read more

Probably one of the best in the area but I had to knock a star down because the last time I called in for take-out, they didn't include ANY utensils or napkins and it didn't come with peanuts which the dish normally does? The first time I went here, I was extremely happy, and pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were perfect. I dropped $20.00 on myself. I thought I had a new favorite. The next time I went, I brought a friend, and it was still pretty good, but not like the first time. I brushed it off. It was at least decent. No biggy. On my third visit, the appetizers were overcooked, and the entree barely had anything beyond the rice. It is mid-range in price. I had 2 shrimp on the whole dish, and little on the veggies. My friend ordered a tofu dish, she is vegetarian, and it was the same. Very skimpy on the veggies, barely any tofu. In culinary school it was drilled into my head, "consistency is quality, quality is consistency." I would have rather never had the original good experience here. What's better than Thai food that rolls up to your door? We've ordered from Thai Terrace about 15 times in the last year and while I give 4 stars to the delivery guys (they are ALWAYS earlier than they say), the food is too inconsistent to earn an extra star. Sometimes the curry tastes a little "off", sometimes it is awesome... you really just don't know what you're going to get. I highly recommend the Garden Curry, however. It's a red curry chock full of veggies like broccoli, carrots and cabbage. I get it with tofu and it is fantastic. The basic spring rolls are solid and the pad thai is certainly serviceable. Other good curries are the green curry and the pumpkin curry. To be honest, I haven't found any Thai food in Vancouver that is better than Thai Terrace so I guess we are lucky we are in their delivery zone. And to be fair, it might lose a little in its trip across town. I'll have to eat in the actual restaurant one day and find out. read more

I tried the panang curry. It wasn't terrible. I felt like they just gave me a lot of curry sauce with some vegetable (mainly green beans) and maybe three or four pieces of pork. I would recommend requesting to make the dish spicier. I wasn't satisfied with my meal. I was just eating so I wouldn't throw away money or food. I don't think I will come back.
