    fresh rolls, goong ob woonsen

We end up going here bc the restaurant next door had too long of a wait. The place was empty inside and I was walking out to the patio to see I whether I wanted to sit indoors or out but the unfriendly hostess came out of no where and got very snarky with us saying that we needed to wait to be seated. (Obviously, we weren't going to seat ourselves!) Our server though, was very friendly and made up for the grouchy lady. We ordered fresh rolls and goong ob woonsen. The food seemed fine to me except the woonsen was too spicy for me (a wimp!) even though the description didn't say it would be spicy. I would have preferred the fresh rolls with other than tofu which was the only option. Inside, the music was a little loud. Outside tables that were available were not covered (no parasol etc) There was also a little section between inside and outside. A lot of seat choices.

Incredibly nice staff! Clean and entertaining atmosphere. Food was full of flavor and perfect textures. Thank you so much

A solid choice for Thai in a city that has many options. A homey vibe and the staff is friendly. I had pad see iew with tofu and broccoli. My preference is for food to be spicy. I asked for five stars/Thai Hot, which is supposed to signal that I know what I am getting into. This was two stars. A tasty dish and I finished it. I usually take home half from most restaurants. Your mileage may vary. Chilis in the picture courtesy of the spice plate that Thaiku provides, Many options on the menu for all tastes. Give it a try.

Came here with a few friends and it was busy on a Friday night. Probably waited 10 minutes to be seated outside. Ordered the appetizer pictured, a pork belly curry, papaya salad, crying tiger. Crying Tiger was a smaller portion than I expected. Papaya salad was pretty standard. The pork belly curry was really good. The ambiance outside was great. Good overall was really good.

Charming Thai restaurant, with a cool little bar area toward the front, regular seating and also some outdoor seating. Dim lighting, kind of intimate and quiet. The menu was full of cocktails and delicious sounding dishes that I haven't heard of before. I ordered the Emerald cocktail and some dish with ground pork, rice and fried egg. Wow, both were amazing. The flavor of the dish was insane! I thought about it for a couple days after! I'd love to work my way through this menu. Highly recommend!

Quite expensive for small portion size. Keffir lime strips in curry had a plastic like texture.

Picked up the pad Thai with chicken and a side of the peanut sauce (absolutely necessary). Was delicious, definitely will be back!

Food was good, but came after an hour of waiting. Complained and there was no correction. Maybe take out? Don't bother going.

The savory fillings also blended super well with the wrapping and were absolutely delicious. Khao Soi was good too but I wasn't impressed- the noodles were not cooked too well and kinda stuck together, but it wasn't major. However seating was a bit confusing as you had to find an empty table and the server would bring you the food. When it was busy the line and wait got messy and it's possible to get your food without having a table so I don't recommend coming here when it's super busy There were around 8 tables and some bar seatings. You can see staff making the food over the counter and the ventilation was done well even with all the stir fry and cooking.

When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
