Pad thai
Elly M.

Yum. Pad Thai is tasty for lunch. One of the more expensive places for noodles but the quality is there.

Pad Thai and Hokkien noodles (chicken with Thai sauce) always the best here. Haven't found a Thai takeaway that beats it yet!

Although the prices were a little high I have really enjoined the veterinarian food this place is serving and their service was very good.

To my disappointment, the Variety was limited and the side dishes are almost always out with slow replenishment. Ok I get it it's limited staffing and so on. I'll just suck it in and enjoy ourselves. However, once the charcoal was placed into the grill, wow! 6-7 cockroaches started to come out from the wood stand of the grill!! Just a thought, if you plan on reopening after a month or 2 of closure, at least a decent pest control should be done before reopening. Totally put off with all the roaches and the food doesn't taste as good as it used to. I for one will never come back to such a unhygienic place ever. That's my opinion.

Came to Sydney I heard about this place so I stopped and tried food here…read more I tried Wagyu pack -Wagyu pack was delicious!! Especially small amount of very thin slices meat was really really yum!!! Must take this package Shoyu marinated calamari-good not too chowy soft! Marinated slice beef-was perfectly delicious shoyu taste! Brisket-was so soft and melt in your mouth! Pork skin-my favorite!! They have two different of flavor mild(shoyu marinated) , spicy (gochujang) my favorite was the shoyu one because I can handle but all my friends said gochujang pork skin was the best! Try !!!! Wagyu sausage-was just ok.. not really special Thick marinated kalbi- diamond cut beef good marinated can't forget the taste was so yum!! I'm the dessert section the grape was bomb!!! I never had grape so sweet like that.. never maybe ever! Most of side was just average not really special but I'm not here for side I'm here for meat and the meat quality and this price?? Heck yeah!!!!! I will definitely come back!!!! Yumyumyum especially they use real charcoal. This popular place after 7? No room for parking and wait for table about 1hour minimum so try to be here before 6! (The last call of order is 09:30pm)

I usually prefer my beef medium rare, but it got mixed with the pork, so everything got cooked well done. If my beef was cooked medium rare, this would probably be a 5 star review. Sirloin Beef $39 AUD - Beautifully marbled. Marinated Beef Ribs $36AUD - This was good and had generous meat. We ordered too much meat, but amazingly we finished it all, so it had to have been really good. Cheese Corn Side Dish - Okay, too cheesy for me. I bet very few people say that, lol. Tofu Side Dish - I am not a tofu or soup person, so I did not try. They have both Korean and Australian beers, thank you. I chose to drink the local beers, as the Korean brand beers were the same as the U.S. Support locals. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Indoor/outdoor seating were very limited. Semi-open kitchen, see picture. You will be crammed in to maximize space. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 10:30pm. Not sure if they have bathrooms; sorry I can not remember and I did not take a picture. Service - Full service. They actually cook the food for you at your table. Both the owner and waiter cooked for us. I really appreciated that. But I am also sure they do that to turn the tables faster, good business practice. Win/win. Price - See menu, Korean foods are always a little on the expensive side, but when you take into consideration the current US exchange rate, it was a sale for us. :) Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

Quality/Quantity - Overall, the food was good. I believe our guest/host ordered al a carte...? Here are some of the foods we ate, in my own words/names, not menu names. Peking Duck in Crepes rather than our traditional American buns. Lettuce Wrap. Seafood Rice Dish - Shrimp, Scallops, Etc. Mushroom and Broccoli. Glass Noodle Dish. Chicken Clay Pot. Pork Spareribs. Whole Fish. Tofu and Bok Choy Dish. Beef Chow Fun. Clam Dish. Overall, all the dishes were good, but we were here more for the company. Atmosphere - This is an "old school" Chinese banquet restaurant. Back in the day, these were VERY popular, but not so much these days. In the U.S., they are closing by the day... Open 6 days a week from 10:30am or 11am to 9:30pm. Tuesday offers lunch only, and they are closed Mondays. Yelp hours differ; see my picture. Free mall parking, we got lucky and got the very first non handicap space next to the mall restaurant entrance. Service - Good service, not sure if our host were regulars here, but I felt they gave us 5 star service. Table side peking duck carving service, changed our plates often, kept our tea and water filled, etc. Price - See menu for prices. Our guest/host paid. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1999 and with your 4 (or 6) restaurants. Congrats on your success since 2006 at this location. I also see that your newer restaurants are much more modern. Glad you are able to adapt to the times. Wishing you and your team the best.

The food didn't seem enough for all of us at first but we ended our meal all with a full stomach because most of us ordered a side of rice, but I reckon for others they would have to get one order per person. The meat was OK, nothing too special but not bad either. I especially loved the pork belly and the bulgogi. There could've been more side dishes, compared to other Korean restaurants, they only had a small selection and nothing too special there either. Just the usual kimchi, salad, and tofu. Someone would often come to our table and assist with cooking the meat, though I can't quite understand whether that's because they want to give us the full service or if they simply wanted to hurry us up in cooking and eating the food. There was also a bit of a mishap when they tried turning on one of the stoves, the coal was a bit too hot and fiery and sent sparks flying and burned some members of our group.

Bakehouse Garden - It's healthy. Lacks a bit of flavour but drown it in the sauce and you'll be fine.
