The restaurant does lots of takeout business and a few dining tables to accommodate those who want to dine in. They also do a free 3 mile delivery. Their website is very user friendly! We enjoyed several dishes! The drunken noodle was so delicious just the prefect amount of spice. We also enjoyed 2 lemon grass soups one with a large variety of seafood. Oh my god. This is THE Thai spot, the service was amazing. The food was amazing. Everything was amazing. Ping, the owner, was the sweetest and her team! She always takes care of my family and I when we come. I recommend their lunch specials, it was honestly amazing. You can pick two entrees for the price of one AND it comes with an appetizer (spring roll, crab Rangoon, or dumplings). You have to check out this spot if you're in the area or if you're a local! I had no idea this place opened up last year in the area! I walked in for lunch on the weekend and got seated immediately. The restaurant is in between the walkway and is not visible from driving through the streets in front. This place deserves the high ratings! The waiter was super friendly and attentive. The food was really good! I got the chicken satay and I love how moist it was because at other places they are usually very dry. Glad I read the reviews about where they are hiding... down the walkway ... we parked on back for closer access. Note: this place is small... along the windows the have a 4 top and three 2 tops... over on the other side is a 4 top and two 2 tops. I did notice that on Yelp they gave a waitlist option. This place is definitely delicious. It's not at all spacious but they do have seating outside. It's located in the Ashbrook shopping center so there's good parking and right next to other shops and restaurants but this one is tucked between chipotle and a sub place. My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) arrived and were seated right away and this was around lunch time. As we sat they gave us a few mins to decide on order and we were quick to place it since we already knew what we wanted. However because we noticed a ton of locals to the restaurant arrived after us, they were all served before us, not sure if they ordered before arriving but we waited at least 30-35 mins for our food and almost left because we assumed they forgot about us. They did keep staring over to us so we know they maybe figured something was up. We got 2 orders which was chicken pad Thai and pineapple fried rice and 2 Thai teas. First dish that came out was sent to the wrong table and then over to us. Both dishes were delicious, had the food not been good I think I would've given them a lower rating but this is about the food and quality. Fantastic! I had a delicious meal with my friends here. It's in an obscure location due to some construction so it was a little hard to find. I ordered the Summer Rolls and Drunken Noodles. Both were great! The Summer Rolls were visually pleasing and I loved the peanut sauce. Very fresh and light appetizer. The drunken noodles were chewy and flavorful. There was a distinct smell that wasn't good, it smelled like a cleaner or mold or something gross not like food. The service was good. The coconut entrees were good. Hidden gem!! Food is tasty and the customer service is exceptional. It's tucked away behind Jersey Mike's so walk down the sidewalk to the left of the building and you'll run right into it. We usually park in the back of the building but you can def get to it from the front parking lot. Back to the food!!! I usually get their papaya salad and my husband gets their Tom Yum soup as appetizers. He gets jasmine rice on the side and eats it with the soup. It's pretty good that way. :) If you like Thai curry, make sure to try their Kaosoi. It's a curry noodle dish and I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Their Crying Tiger is also really good. I might have to give Thaitastic the crown for best Thai food in Northern Virginia. For an area that has above average thai cuisine, this place definitely takes the cake. Everything was delicious, but the star of the show was the fried rice. I usual prefer noodle dishes, but I couldn't stop going back to the rice. On top of the amazing food, the service was amazing. All the employees were so nice, and they were very attentive if we needed something. The food and drinks also came out quickly, which is always a plus. The price of the dishes is another huge plus. The restaurant itself is a little small, but it's very cozy. They also have construction going on, which I'm hoping is additional space. They also have lunch special during M-F, but dinner price is very fair too ($14 a dish). My wife and I were on our way home after shopping in Leesburg. I looked for highly rated restaurants in Ashburn. We picked this place because many reviewers were calling their food the best Thai food. Really? My interest is always piqued when something is supposed to be the best. We tried 5 dishes and a Thai drink. Here's what I found. 1) Tom Yum soup It comes with a choice of chicken, veggie, tofu, or shrimp. We chose veggie. It had straw mushrooms, carrots, baby corn, chopped green onions, cilantro, and snow peas. This was a nice variety of vegetables, except the mushrooms and baby corn were canned. The broth was predominantly tangy with a medium level of hot red pepper flavor and a mild salty anchovy flavor. This is the definition of 2-dimensional flavor. It was not rich in flavor, which made this soup mediocre. 2) Papaya salad It had julienned green papaya, green beans, tomatoes, peanuts, and shrimp with a lime dressing. The ingredients were fresh. The dish was vinegary, slightly spicy, sweet, and modest in lime flavor with a hint of flavors from peanuts and anchovy sauce. It needed shrimp paste and tastier chilies. Overall, it was okay, but Laotian papaya salad is more flavorful. 3) Seafood in Wonderland It had 5 pieces of squid, 3 large shrimp, 2 sea scallops, and mixed vegetables in a sweet chili sauce. It came with a bowl of white rice. The ingredients were relatively fresh and cooked properly. It was mildly spicy and slightly salty with a touch of sweetness for balance. It wasn't sweet enough for a sweet chili sauce. There was no savoriness or tanginess in this dish. The lack of depth in their sauces was becoming apparent to me at this point. 4) Crying Tiger The menu described this dish as thinly sliced Thai-style chargrilled beef marinated in Thai herbs served with sticky rice, steam mixed vegetables, and homemade chili sauce. It had thick cut chunks of beef that were tender but slightly dry. It looked and tasted like round steak. The grilled flavor was good, but it overpowered any herb flavor that was there. The portion of beef was decent for $19. The chili sauce was tangy, moderately spicy, and slightly sweet. This was a typical Thai chili sauce. The vegetables were fresh and plain tasting. The sticky rice was cooked well and tasted slightly sweet. Overall, this dish was okay. It needs a better cut of beef and a tastier sauce. 5) Phad Thai with Shrimp It had stir-fried thin rice noodles, peanuts, scrambled eggs, scallions, and bean sprouts with their special sauce. We added shrimp for $3 more. You can add chicken, pork, beef, tofu, or vegetables for $2 more and seafood or mock duck for $4 more. FYI, mock duck is a meat substitute made of wheat gluten, oil, sugar, soy sauce, salt, and MSG. You can find it at Asian grocery stores. It was created by Buddhist around the Middle Ages. The recipe has changed over time. Back to the phad thai. We got this as a carryout order. The noodles were stuck together. They didn't use enough oil or the right type of oil. The sauce was weak in flavor. It had very light flavors of garlic, fish sauce, sugar, and onion. It was missing the flavors of tamarind, dried shrimp, peanut oil, and white pepper. Luckily, the shrimp, peanuts, and scallions added some flavor to this dish. I had to add more ingredients to the sauce to make it taste right. On the positive side, it was stir-fried well, and the ingredients were fresh. I wouldn't buy this again. I was pondering my Yelp rating for this place. I was at 3.5 stars with a willingness to round up to 4 stars. This dish convinced me to go to 3 stars. 6) Thai Iced Tea It had black tea at the bottom of the glass and sweetened condensed milk on top of the tea. It was very sweet due to the large amount of sweetened condensed milk. The tea tasted like oolong tea with a slight bitterness. The milk overpowered the tea flavor when everything was mixed. If you have a sweet tooth, then this might be your cup of tea. The service was polite, helpful, and quick until the food was served. The dining room was small, but I couldn't get our server's attention for 15 minutes after we had finished. She was in the kitchen most of the time, and she'd occasionally pop out to do something quickly, and then she'd disappear into the kitchen again. I felt like a cat waiting to catch the bird that pops out in a cuckoo clock. I ordered our carryout phad thai dish and paid our bill. The phad thai took 25 minutes. That was unacceptably long for one dish. The dining room was clean and small, there's only 14 seats. They have a few outdoor tables and chairs. The restrooms were clean. They have a bar with cocktails, wine, and beer. Finding the restaurant is a little unusual because they are located in the walkway that connects the front parking lot with the back parking lot at Ashbrook Commons Plaza. The food here is not Thai cuisine, but more like Thai street food. If that's what you're looking for, then this is the place. read more

Today was our 3rd time trying Thaitastic and each time was a 5-star experience. The customer service here is amazing. We were always greeted with friendly smiles and introductions. We were given free dessert (ice cream) each time we went, but today we were also served complimentary Vegetable Dumplings before our meal, and Fried Banana + Ice Cream dessert after. The waiter and waitress were very kind and attentive, and even gave us an extra bowl of rice to pack with our left-over curry. The food here tastes just as good as the customer service. Today I tried the Red Curry (with chicken) which has a similar taste to the other Curry options but with a spicy kick. Today's chicken was a bit tough, but I've ordered chicken in the past and it's usually more tender. I've also tried the Panang and Green Curry options, which have a sweeter taste. My favorite is the Green Curry, but you can't go wrong with any of them. We've also tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew (with beef) entrees and those tasted very good as well. The beef is tender and the quantity of meat that comes with the entree is good. The restaurant is a bit hard to find, because the front of the building is inside of the complex (not facing the street. You can find it right next to Sweet Frog. The restaurant is a bit small inside, but the ambiance is quiet, relaxing, and friendly. Great vibes all around. My husband says that this is the best Thai restaurant he's ever been to.
