Unfortunately, this is not all that a business professional is rated on. I kind of thought from the beginning that Erica was a bit unprofessional. I tried to put that out of my mind because she was very cost effective and her photos were stunning. Every contact I had with her, it just seemed like she didn't have her stuff together. Our engagement session was pretty good. Not many complaints about that. The real problems started at the wedding. While me and my bridesmaids were getting ready, she asked my maid of honor when she was due. My MOH is not pregnant. Everyone (women especially!!) should know that you NEVER EVER EVER ask a woman if she is pregnant. She almost made my MOH cry. the last thing I needed on this stressful day was to comfort my MOH. I wish it had ended there. I tried to defend Erica sayin "Maybe you misheard her" but later in the day another friend who was there reiterated what was said, and there was no misunderstanding. We went outside to take pictures in the vineyards and it was extremely hot (for late october) and uncomfortable. We wanted to get these pictures over ASAP. We were also being swarmed by bees and two of our wedding party attendants are extremely allergic. We kept telling Erica that we wanted to move and she kept insisting we stay where we are because the pics were coming out great. We appreciate the great pictures but a bridesmaid in the hospital would've made for a bad day. After about 30-40 minutes of pictures my feet (i hate heels so much that I actually walked down the aisle barefoot) were absolutely screaming and I was getting very cranky. My makeup was running and my dress weighed 50 million pounds and I just wanted to take a break before the ceremony. Erica literally whined saying that she wanted to go take pictures in the wine caves. When I said "no, i really need to take a break" she practically stomped her feet and pouted saying "Oh come onnnnn, lets go take pictures in the wine caves!!" My husbands groomsman stepped in and said "no, when the bride says we're done, we're done." She backed off on the wine caves point, but continued to try to get more pictures. Later in the evening she came up to me whining because the Wedding coordinator said that vendors (photorapher, dj, etc.) usually ate after the wedding guests finished and she wanted to eat "NOW" and I needed to go tell the wedding coordinator that. It isn't so much her complaint that bothers me (it was a valid complaint), but I was the WRONG person to come to. There were 3 bridesmaids and a mother of the groom she could have discussed it with instead. The rest of the issues of the night didn't become apparent to me until months later. My boss told me that he was standing next to Erica while she was taking pictures of the grandmas and Erica turned to him and said "Gotta get the pictures of the grandmas! Who knows when they'll kick off" ...Seriously. My boss is one of the most honest people I've ever known in my life and he wouldn't lie about that. In the weeks leading up to me getting my photos erica e-mailed me to say that they were almost done and I can mail my final check to her address. I had paid her in full on the day of the wedding per her demands! If I had known I could've waited till I got my pictures I would've done that. Then she sent another mass e-mail to me and a bunch of other brides called "THE LAST CHECK" saying "I hope you liked your photos. Please send your next check to X" To which I responded AGAIN, I already paid you! Once I finally received my pictures, I asked her how she would handle my book. If she was going to choose the photos, if I was going to choose them, etc. And she said "Please choose 60 photos, put them on a disc, mail them back along with your final check" I PAID MY EFFING BILL ALREADY!! And no, I'm not gonna make another damn CD and mail it back to you and wait another 3 months for an apple iphoto book. I'll do it myself. I also realized while searching through my photos that no pictures were captured of my husband when he first saw me coming down the aisle. Very depressing. Technically I paid for a Trash the dress session (which she does fabulously) and the apple iphoto book but I am just done. I have 3 friends getting married in the near future and they all asked me for a recommendation of a good photographer. I have told them all that I really wish I could have recommended mine, but the unprofessionalism just isn't worth the hassle. It's such a shame because her photos are absolutely out of this world (that is what the 2 stars are for) Erica really needs to work on her professionalism. You can be friendly and cool and professional at the same time.

One thing I will not appreciate is her lack of professionalism. I heard about Erica from a client who had really amazing shots from her wedding. My client told me what she had paid for her to shoot her wedding which made my mouth drop because it was perfect for someone who is on a tight budget. I contacted her through email sometime in August 2007 in regards to her services. I also had found a craiglist ad that she had posted to shoot weddings at a starting price of $600. GREAT PRICE... When I emailed her in regards to it and let her know my date she told me it was booked already and that the price posted in her ad was for 2007 prices and that it would double for 2008. FINE $1200 for a photographer I would willingly pay at least $3000 for her work. NOT A PROBLEM. A week or two later I got a message on my voice mail stating that she wasn't booked until she was paid. "HMMMM....*red flag* kinda weird." I called her or emailed her back and ask her about a deposit half up front to book the date and half after the date or a week prior. Which is the usual contractual agreements with all photographers. I thought it was fair enough. Well 2008 rolls around and here I am starting to really plan for my wedding this June. I contacted her right before the end of the year and she had mentioned that the date wasn't booked yet and that we could set up a consult. We set up a consultation date and a week prior to the date she's booked on my day of the wedding. I was truly disappointed because I would've loved her to shoot at the wedding. She seems like a cool chick and I love being able to help out people who are starting in their industry and career of choice. At the same time, I felt really shitted on. When you schedule a consult with a new client at least mention that you have a possibility that the date may be potentially booked prior. I understand its first come first serve, but let someone know that you might be booked already and don't even bother to set up a consult with a client for the same date.

I can not even begin to discuss the disappointment with this company and no one should feel…read moredisappointed on their wedding day. The photos I received from my wedding were terrible. Amanda was my photographer. The assistant photographer did a better job than my main photographer. The photos looked like an absolute mess. The getting ready photos that we're taken in my house, we're not set up by the photographer at all. She was just snapping photos from every angle with dresses, bags in the back, my bridesmaids in the back doing their own make up, all the bridal robes all over the place. When I brought this to their attention they used Covid as an excuse that they are unable to move things out of the photo and lack of space in houses (Funny - because my house has a ton of space). The whole point of having a photographer is to set up the scene if they didn't think the photo looked nice then she should've moved me to a different angle with nothing in the background. They also used the excuse that these were all candid shots. A candid shot is still set up nicely. I will The photographer put no creativity and energy into taking the photos, it was as if she just snapped a random 2000 photos and hoped for the best. When the photographer walked in, one thing I was specific about was where to take my detailed shots. I showed her the location of where I wanted them and trusted her that they would be done this way. She instead took it upon herself to use a different scene with my kitchen and microwave in the background of the photos. She was too busy in my house taking pictures of random things, like a half eaten tray of fruit, a tray of bagels that was already cut into, magnets on my fridge, and picture frames in my house instead of focusing on me and setting up the scene to make the photos look nice. Some of the most important moments such as the first look with my father, walking down the aisle with my father were messed up and blurry. These are photos that I would never be able to retake. I was actually concerned and wanted to bring it to the attention of Silver Fox and had a nasty response from Danielle, basically blaming everything on candid shots and Covid. I was then redirected to the manager and explained everything to him. I also mentioned why we didn't take more photos outside and his response was the photographer said it was cold out. My wedding was in March, obviously it was cold but I was the one in the dress and I was not complaining. He acknowledged that my photographer did remember me specifically telling her where to take the detailed shots and instead did it in a different place with the kitchen as a backdrop anyway. I was told that since I am feeling this way he could edit 20 photos for me. After spending almost $6000, being extremely disappointed and embarrassed to show people my wedding photos, I do not think that editing 20 photos would correct how I felt. It was the way the photographer did the job. Apparently after several emails, the photos are up to Silver Fox studios standards. That says a lot and anyone that is reading this review should know that apparently they have very low standards. I got better pictures from my friends iPhones the following day.

My friend and I came to Julie Saad's studio for girls' day out/glamour portraits. We got to talk about out concepts and what feeling we wanted for the images. Julie helped me to choose pieces that would photograph well from what was already in my closet. Before, during, and after the session, Julie was fast and responsive any time I needed to reach her by email or phone. When we arrived for our session, we had a wonderful hair and makeup session with Amy Klewitz! She was fantastic!! Both Amy and Julie were so warm and friendly, there was no time to feel nervous - I felt completely at ease! We also laughed a lot, making for a super fun day! Julie's studio is small but bathed in sunlight! Julie has a variety of fabrics and backdrops to complement any look or feel (light and airy, dark and dramatic, fun and playful, etc.). We were able to take pictures in a variety of outfits with different backgrounds in just a few hours. We got to take pictures individually, as well as together. Our pictures were ready for us really soon after. Julie set up an appointment where we could view the images -- not on a computer screen, but beautifully matted and ready to display! It was a magical experience getting to see them this way. The pictures came out amazingly, and this made it very hard to choose the final ones! However, Julie didn't rush us and allowed us to really take our time. When the final decision was made, we received our pictures in the mats and in beautiful keepsake archival boxes. They were wrapped and presented wonderfully, and included flash drives of the digital images. I have given some of the pictures away as gifts and I've gotten so many complements on them! I am so happy I got to have this experience with my friend and that Julie made this such a great day for us both! We will never forget it and we have the wonderful photos to forever enjoy! WEIRD SIDE NOTE: After I shared some of Julie's photos of me on social media, Julie noticed some fraudulent Twitter accounts using the images and she alerted me right away. I truly appreciate her looking out for her clients and ensuring the pictures weren't being misused.

We made a very last-minute decision to still honor our original date and we decided to go ahead with a zoom online wedding! I found Kelly's page about offering face time photoshoots while searching for Zoom wedding ideas. I messaged her two days before we were planning to have the ceremony and she responded right away. We set up a video chat so we could go over what she could offer through a face time photo session coverage of our wedding. She was able to be on face time throughout the entire wedding and was able to capture pictures of our ceremony and then we had a photoshoot afterward to get some nice couple shots, all while she was on facetime. It was easy to do with the camera on the tripod during the ceremony and gave great directions on how to hold the camera to my mother who was helping out during the photo session after the ceremony. No one could have predicted that we would be having weddings online or would have a need for facetime photoshoot and I think that it's awesome that Kelly was able to find a creative way to provide photography services within the limitations and guidelines of social distancing during this pandemic. It is amazing what can be accomplished with technology these days! The photos turned out better than we could have expected and will provide us with a lasting memory of this unique time in our lives. Kelly was very professional throughout the entire time and has quickly adapted to this new way of taking pictures.
