    Spring roll
    Nader E.

I just had the best PHOcking pho I've had in the East Coast. Super legit. Light broth. So warm and hot. Good amount of noodles to broth. Maybe even more broth which I like. The meat was just tender. The spring rolls so tasty with that sauce. Crispy yet chewy. Crazy combo. You go in, it's very Vietnamese. I didn't understand a single word they said and the English is quick and succinct. That's how you know this a good pho place. Inside is clean and gives off family owned and that's what I like. Made me miss Socal already. But this is good enough..def coming back if its cold or if I'm sick. Not too expensive either. Well the pho not really. Those spring rolls, just 2 dollars too much for me but still tasty.

Best viet food in north jersey I've had so far! Authentic flavors and fast service. Parking is a bit hard, but the food will be worth it. I tried the bun bo hue and durian shake - both were great! I was surprised how the durian shake tasted like durian (not just superficial in flavor). Will come back again!

It's not the besttt but it's rare to find viet food so this is our local go to. I wish they'd serve more of their proteins. Desserts are definitely refreshing.

Pho was good- flavorful and came out hot. They don't have a spicy broth option. Only option is to add sriracha Grilled pork was also good. Prob one of my fav viet dishes Banh mi was not as good. I really like banh mi and the fresh veggies and sauce but this didn't really have any veggies and the meat wasn't as good Parking is street parking Service is okay. Seems like there are a lot of regulars

Nobody Better Than Thanh Huong. Very pleased to finally try Thanh Huong, a long standing Vietnamese restaurant in Jersey City. The service was delightful, from calling to place my order to picking up the food. Service with a smile will get me back in the door. This was a take out order and everything was in the bag with more than enough sauces, chop sticks, utensils and napkins. All was packaged properly and still warm when unpacked to eat. We ordered our usual grilled chicken over white rice with the spring roll appetizers. The chicken was cooked and charred perfectly while still being tender. The white rice was fluffy and fresh. The tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce wraps and carrots etc were fresh and crisp. The spring rolls were so flavorful and plump with a nice toasty skin. The pricing was very reasonable with the same menu since prepandemic. They did not use the pandemic to gouge their menu as others did. Thanh Huong is my new favorite spring roll spot in Jersey City.

The staff here are friendly! Saw the review about it being very good pho. Came here and got two orders of the pho. It was very light and bland. The spring rolls the meat inside did not have any seasoning and the skin of it seem a little on the soggy side. The Thai iced tea tasted like diabetes in a cup it was sooo sweet. The fresh lemonade was also on the sweet side I had to add in a few limes myself. Was looking forward to trying here. But left very unsatisfied. Will try to come back and try other things. Maybe they had a bad day.

We went here for dinner before heading to EWR airport. The restaurant was not busy and there was plenty of seats. Most of the customers came in and ordered to go. We ordered Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Rice Vermicelli w. Grilled Pork & Spring Roll & Vegetable), Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Noodle Soup w. Beef & Pork), Hu Tieu Nam Vang (Clear Noodle Soup w. Quail Egg, Shrimp, Squid, Liver & Pork), Muc Rang Muoi (Crispy Squid), Spring Rolls. Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Rice Vermicelli w. Grilled Pork & Spring Roll & Vegetable): 5/5 it was good and authentic. It tastes similar to what I had in Vietnam. Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Noodle Soup w. Beef & Pork) 4/5: it is hard to find good Bun bo Hue in America. And we think that Bun Bo Hue was pretty good. The broth was delicious and authentic. We recommend to try this out. Hu Tieu Nam Vang (Clear Noodle Soup w. Quail Egg, Shrimp, Squid, Liver & Pork): 3/5 the ingredients were all good, but the dish didn't have the taste and smell of Hu Tieu Nam Vang. It's kind of disappointment. So, not recommend Spring Rolls: 5/5 in Vietnam, the sauce will determine if the spring rolls are good. And Thanh Huong's sauce was amazingly delicious. The shrimps was fresh. Crispy Squid: 3/5 It was okay. The staff was very friendly. The services were fast. The ambience is like a family-own cozy restaurant.

Thanh Huong is a local and authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Jersey City. Their decor is simple, causal and wide-spaced. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. Food there was amazingly delicious and portion was great with reasonable prices. We ordered their fried squid as appetizer, noodles soup with duck, pho with brisket & tenderloin and chicken with mixed veggies. Our favorite was their fried squid which was juicy, covered by crispy layer and even more tasty with special sweet & sour flavored sauce. Their broth of pho was also good and warmed up our body in a chilly winter. Overall, we will stop by Thanh Huong again if we are around the neighborhood.

Park close, get your food, then get out of this neighborhood as fast as you can. Take my advice and you will be happy that you came to enjoy the best, and only Vietnamese restaurant in the vicinity for miles. Their food is better and less expensive than the one Vietnamese restaurant in Bayonne, the one I visited near Grove Street, and the one I visited in West New York. The only problem is that this is in the worst neighborhood of them all. I am pretty sure this is a family run business and when I come to a place like this where great grandma is serving, grandpa is cooking, and their next generations are hanging out helping then I KNOW it is going to be some good, authentic, home-made tasting food on the way. Their pho is on point, their vermicelli with pork spring rolls and chops are great. I have nothing but good things to say about the food. The service is ok, grandma isn't trying to charm, you just feed you. So don't expect that. The environment is very simple with table seating and a TV that has nothing interesting on ever. So yes go grab a bite here, eat, save your conversation for later, and don't bother strolling around in the neighborhood. There is some great food in the area, and you are good if you stick to your destinations. This is the hood!

Beautiful little restaurant. The pho is delicious, the service friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere joyful and relaxing. I get the #6 with brisket, tendon and tripe.

    Spicy lemongrass chicken and rice
    Leah C.

The menu is pretty long, which was a little overwhelming so three people in our group ended up ordering the same thing, spicy chicken w lemongrass on white rice #62 (one order was actually #77 which is the exact same meal but with rice on the side). We also got shrimp w lemongrass on white rice, grilled pork on white rice, and egg rolls. Everything was amazing! We wanted to try the bahn mi but it is very popular and they were out of bread by that time! We're looking forward to ordering again and trying the bahn mi and the pho!

Would gladly come back to give them another chance, because i can see the potential and want to try a few more items. Now, onto the good stuff. Greeted nicely and was handed hot tea. Love that. Usually you have to ask, but not here. props for that. Viet wings were good. Theyre on the small side, if im being honest. However, theyre cooked well and flavor is killer. i love the crunch to them and theyre not too messy. Veggie pho with veggie broth. I know traditional is beef and i took a gamble here, but the broth was just incredibly bland. ive had plenty of veggie stock pho that hit the spot, but here it was just so bland. I had to spicy it up with the chilli sauce and hoison. not good. the dessert. this just lost me. i was so let down here. the sweet corn pudding had a few issues with it. it was basically rice pudding, with maybe 8 corn kernals thrown in there. im not a chef, but it seemed like the corn was not cooked with the pudding. the corn was not sweet and neither was the rice pudding itself. it truly tasted like the corn was thrown on top. Also, the coconut sauce on top was not sweet. again, it tasted like it was poured on top and didnt blend with the pudding.

The dishes are very unique in cultural sourcing - it's not what you expect of a regular Chinese restaurant. The servings are HUGE and good for 2 servings. The ambiance is not that great even though there's a big space and there was a lot of junk sitting around the place like extra stock of drinks and boxes all over the place. I don't think people really eat-in here. When I did takeout, it was still not worth the price of other similar restaurants in the area. Also this place doesn't have combinations sold together -- you have to buy rice on the side for EVERY dish which is not a traditional way to serve each dish in general. The prices here are not worth trying it - way overpriced and overcharged! Should be more affordable since we do not get the rice with the combination plates.
