Now onto the food, The only real bad thing that i have to say, is that the only proper food that they have, is either a burger or a pizza. However, they are amazing so definitely visit.

Sonics are good, too…read more Bradford in West Yorkshire is not necessarily the town that comes up first when you think about historic buildings and monuments in the UK. There are a few stunning examples, like the town hall - and of course, St. George's Hall, the premier concert venue in the city. It is a lovely 19th century building outside and inside, very well preserved. The auditorium especially is wonderfully ornate and pleasant. Unlike German cities its size, Bradford does not have its own, standing professional symphony orchestra, so they depend on guests. A regular visitor to St.George's Hall is the Manchester-based Hallé Orchestra, one of the oldest professional classical ensembles in the country. I visited St. George's Hall for a Hallé concert in September of 2014. The acoustics are very good. Maybe not as transparent and dynamic as those of Nottingham's modern Royal Concert Hall, certainly not comparable to the magnificent The Bridgewater Hall. But very good indeed if an orchestra is in town. Amenities are on the traditional side: Toilets are small and few, the bar certainly doesn't impress compared to the above-mentioned venues. The decor is cozy, rather 1960-ish. Everything feels a little cramped until you get into the auditorium. Definitely worth a visit in a city with few outstanding features.

The bar had not only a very poor selection of drinks but the staff had very poor knowledge of what was actually stocked on the bar. They were also happy to serve whoever pushed to the front which was unfair on everyone else who was waiting patiently.  Breaking free from the nightmare that was the bar area we went to take a seat in the theatre. It looked great and seeing the stage made me even more excited of what was to come.  We found our seats and went to sit down. Painful! I am unsure whether the seats were actually designed for children, they were so small! It wasn't the seat space it was the leg space you had to literally wedge yourself down. I have no idea how people with long legs sat in these seats as I am not exactly the tallest person ever and found it quite hard.  The most comfortable position was to sit with your legs apart as it gave you a little more room however it isn't exactly the most lady like of positions.  We were seated at the end of a row and had to get up to let people in and out about 800 times which was fine but each time we sat back down it really hurt your legs. Great show just shame on the seats, they are in no way made for adults.

The pub has an unique feel to it as it is very gothlike - the interior is all dark but very cosy. The seating is like church pews which does get a bit uncomfortable and makes your bottom go numb but after a few pints, etc, you dont notice. The feel of this pub is very cosy, relaxed and friendly. They usually have some kind of rock metal or other hard music playing but not too loud as to deafen you. They also do live music nights which usually feature a rock or metal band but, it is very popular so you do need to get there early to get a seat. The toilets could do with being repaired as they look like they have been untouched in centurys and they are down some unstable steep stairs in the basement which is quite scary. It seems to have a very haunting atmosphere down there. The staff are nice and friendly and do like to entertain you in their unique loud way. Unfortunately they dont do bar food otherwise i would go in more often.

Inside it is dark and gothic and the seating is like hard church aisle seats which can get uncomfortable after a while, but, there are also normal chairs to ease the pain. There is a small seating area near the stained glass window which is very cosy and snug. They serve lots of diffrent beers, wines and spirits and soft drinks but they dont serve food. The staff are nice and friendly even if they do look scary in their rock clothes but thats what makes it different. The only drawback for me is the toilets are they are down some steep steps which dont look safe and unfortunately they are very old and dated. They need a good tidying up and decorating but then it does add to the atmosphere of the pub.

I think this is a brilliant place for your normal everyday amateur dramatics to come and put on a show. The actors/actresses here work so hard to keep the good shows coming and they are usually brilliant. They also do some jazz productions which are also very good. The costume and scenery for the shows are always brilliantly made and a lot of hard work goes into them. After each one is used they are offered to be leased out until needed again. The theatre is only small but is unique and still very much original. Unfortunately it is also hard to find as it is quite out of the town centre and up a very steep hill - access is quite hard. There is a nice little friendly bar downstairs which is very unique and everyone is very friendly.

The name is a bit clichéd for sure, but the pub itself is quite refreshing. This is because it is rare to find a drinking hole nowadays that is so live-music friendly. The Rose offers upcoming bands and old crooners equal time on the mike, and they also offer an open mic night, meaning that you can often stumble upon a rare bit of talent. Because of the live music feature, the atmosphere is usually good, and the drinks are standardly priced. But sometimes you just wanna enjoy your pint in peace.

It actually has been redone sometime in the past couple of years as it just used to be called 'Delius'. Drinks prices are in line with most of the cheap bars around Bradford city centre, with a bottle of cider costing me £3. It was quite busy, with a nice friendly atmosphere. The location is convenient from the uni or college but it's a fair walk uphill from the city centre! I quite like the place, but would rather go to a pub in the city centre, I'm not sure it's worth the walk up that steep hill!
