I met with an old friend for dinner last night and as both of us had needed to drive from London and Farnham to meet in the middle we were both driving. We rocked up there around 10.30pm to be told by the bouncers that it was a £5 entry. We said they never used to charge and said that we were not drinking and needed to leave early. They said we don't care and were very rude to us directing us to a salsa night next door with an older age group. Not sure what company is being used for security but we will not be going back there again. Shame as used to be fun and now is arrogance (not information on the website about the £5 fee after 10pm) and trying to be upmarket when they are simply not. Bring back the old Legion. It was better!

But that's where the similarity ends compared to most UK pub 'n grubs. I found the atmosphere very relaxed and casual yet kind of chic without being snooty. The bartender and servers were all very polite and welcoming. The food was fantastic; I had the falafel burger (delicious) and lamb skewer tapas (even more delicious). Total with two glasses of wine was less than £20. Will definitely dine there again and probably have the 3 tapas special (£9.95 if I remember correctly).

Luckily we were able to get onto the list for this lounge. We were able to enter after 40 min of waiting. Food was mediocre, but had a hot and cold food selection. Plenty of alcohol drink options, but not so much soda and water options (I.e flavored water and sparkling) Area was nice, even when crowded. I liked how they had a sports room and a quiet room on top of the general seating.

We didn't have a whole lot of time between connections to order from the QR menu which could have made this review higher. First of all, it's a modern looking lounge with great accommodations. I love that they have a row of private & clean restrooms that have their own sink and scented diffusers. They are very spacious with no unpleasant smells that I could detect despite it being a public restroom. It appeared to be very well-maintained. The coffee & tea bar was a huge highlight. It had French croissant pastries and Union Hand-Roasted Coffee. It was the best part of the lounge in my opinion. The views of the runway were also wonderful. We saw some very large jumbo planes taking off and landing from our comfy seats. It was a relaxing lounge. We were there at breakfast time. The breakfast bar had a good variety. It could have been better had the English muffins been toasted. I'm not sure why British Airways doesn't have toasters in their lounges. What's the point of having butter nearby? I tried to make a bacon roll out of it, and it just didn't work for me. My husband asked if there was any way to toast it, and they said no. So, they won't toast it for you. I did see other rolls there that may have been a better choice but I'd already placed the muffin on my plate. Other than that, it was an okay buffet for a British breakfast. I didn't see the ice cream cart that everyone talks about. That may be because it was too early for that. There's a good selection of alcohol as well. I have a feeling that ordering from the made-to-order menu is the way to go here, and especially if they have that Loch Fyne salmon that I had on the way back from Edinburgh. Environment: The Sky Pod is located in the center of the area near the elevators. Place your order at the counter and grab one of the tables or lounge chairs in the area. What was ordered: A pint of Heineken and an Aspall Mulled Cyder. It was my first time trying the mulled cyder and I thought it was pretty tasty. It was sweet, slightly warm with a tangy orange taste. There was also a slice of orange in it. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The Heineken was pretty basic but the cyder was very interesting. The view was also nice but would have been even better if it wasn't gloomy and drizzly; too bad we can't control the weather! A staff member will come by to collect your glass as soon as it's empty. It did take a while to find an empty spot since a lot of people were just sitting around even if they weren't drinking. Other than that, it was a nice experience to have while enjoying the view and the Garden. Credit cards are accepted.
