We enjoyed the two hour jet ski tour around Key West at sunset. It was absolutely beautiful and our three boys, ages 12, 13 and 16, loved riding the jet skis. We took a deep sea charted fishing trip and ACTUALLY CAUGHT A MARLIN....WOOHOO!!!! My husband grew up catching that type of fish and it was fantastic to have that experience with our boys. Captain Barry and his angler were so patient with the boys that we can't wait to return for another fishing experience with them. We also really enjoyed the Key West Ultimate Adventure. We can't wait to return to the beautiful Key West Islands and when we do, Melinda will be one of the first people we contact to have everything set up for our trip.

He got us on a school of Lady fish immediately and we all caught some. My husband caught an amberjack early too. We almost had a big barracuda but it ate some of our bait and then jumped high out of the water to give us a little show! My youngest really wanted to catch a shark so Captain Justin took us to a great spot and started throwing out bait trying to get some sharks in. We had so many! Several lemon sharks and nurse sharks and 1 bull shark. We reeled in 2 lemon sharks and 1 nurse shark. Captain Justin was so great helping us reel them in and cheering us on! We would absolutely fish with Shadow Casters the next time we are in Key West. It was such a great day!

Very different than most the piers many of us know that are located along the east and west coasts of Florida. It's not very high above the water. Like most of the keys the water around the pier is very shallow and has large boulders along the sides of the pier so a lot of fish get shelter and there is plenty to see. A lot of locals come here to fish and catch bait. During many special events in Key West, the pier is used such as 4TH of July, the city shoots the fireworks off the end of the pier; which is a huge area.

Even though the bite wasn't great, it was still a beautiful day on the water. The mate clearly wanted everyone to catch fish and worked hard throughout the trip. You could tell he genuinely cared about helping people have a good experience. My only constructive feedback would be that I would have liked to see us change locations or try a different approach a little sooner. With only a handful of passengers on board, there was some discussion about switching things up, and looking back, it felt like it may have been worth trying earlier. That said, nobody can control the conditions, and I understand there are no guarantees when it comes to fishing. While it wasn't our most productive day on the water, we still enjoyed the trip and appreciated the effort the crew put in.
