Went here for battery replacement, was told that the price is $99.99 including labor. Then, they came back and said that one of the screws is not working and need some special tools to remove that, obviously with an additional $50 charge. I was called once the battery was replaced and was told that hard drive is failing and needs to be replaced for $100 more. When I let the gentleman to simply hit escape key and enter password, every thing worked fine.. I am not sure about of the quality of parts they use, I did not get a confident reply when asked if the battery replaced is genuine or not. labor there needs to have better knowledge about the things they work on and simply letting know without proper diagnosis is not fair read more

I'm posting this to warn others about an experience at this store. Like most customers, the phone was taken in with a cracked screen but in working condition. Look at the picture posted, that's how the phone left the store: inoperable. After failed attempts at putting on a new screen, the salesman blamed the customer for bringing in a "broken phone" becoming belligerent and avoiding responsibility or offering just resolution to fix the now inoperable phone. As loyal iPhone consumers we know the difference between a cracked screen and an entirely inoperable phone. This company point blank broke the phone! Resolution may be pending with appropriate governmental entities at this time -- no thanks to this company's distrustful, disrespectful conduct. read more

BEWARE OF THEIR iPhone SCREEN REPAIRS!! I took my daughter's iPhone 5S in for a simple screen replacement. When I picked up the phone, I noticed the top of the screen was not fully in the frame and they pushed it back in and said it had a warranty. I had to bring it back a couple weeks later because the top of the screen kept lifting out of the frame. They said they replaced the screen again. I brought it in today for a third time because the screen is still lifting off and they refused to do anything else about it!! Warranty? What warranty??? I'm done here and will have phones fixed somewhere else next time! The first time I was here my son and I were looking at phone cases and they got after us for removing a case from its packaging to look at it. How are you supposed to look at a phone case to see if you really like it if you can't even take it out?? Update of facts after Apple Xchange comment #1: The phone we brought in ONLY had a minor dent on one corner where it had been dropped one time and the minor dent has been fixed and is NO LONGER BENT! The rest of the body of the phone is perfectly straight! I was handed a phone on the first day of repair THAT HAD A SCREEN NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND HAD A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BODY AND THE TECH JUST PUSHED IT TOGETHER AND HANDED IT BACK TO ME AFTER I ASKED ABOUT IT! It was passed off by AX as "It's under warranty" after being pushed back together. There IS NOTHING IN THE WAY OF THE SCREEN at the corner where it was originally damaged and the screen fits there JUST FINE! There is something underneath the screen in the way or there is a sticky backing that is not installed correctly! Contrary to the AX claim, THE SCREEN WAS ONLY (APPARENTLY) REPLACED ONE ADDITIONAL TIME after the first one THAT I PAID FULL PRICE FOR! There was ONLY one additional screen put on the phone during the second visit and on the third visit NOTHING was done. As for the phone cases, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if I could take a phone case (that I wanted to purchase and did end up purchasing) out of the box and look how it fit on the phone and was TOLD I COULD NOT until I purchased it! WE NEVER TORE "everything out of the retail packaging to look at it". At every other store I have ever purchased cases besides Amazon, I have carefully taken the cases out of the packaging to get a full look at them once I am near final decision. I had to purchase my case from AX BEFORE being able to look at it fully and see how it came apart and mounted on the phone. Many case manufacturers purposely allow customers to touch cases through a hole in the packaging and some allow you to fully view them so the "fingerprints and germs" problem is one that even they are not concerned with. I have never met you Alan C but you obviously do not have your facts correct Update 11/19/2015: After asking Alan C. for a refund on the screen replacement that never was installed correctly, Alan C. (owner) responded with the following trying to get me to keep quiet about it: "If you agree to remove your banter on Yelp, and not go any further (Online complaints anywhere), I'll refund your payment for the screen. Once you show me confirmation it has been removed, I'll process the refund within 24 hours." BBB complaint has been submitted! UPDATE 12/10/15: I just returned from a REAL Apple Store (San Tan) with a new screen on my phone and not only did Apple fix the screen they said "it was a by the books repair"!! Here's the kicker. If Apple Xchange screws up your screen repair APPLE WILL LIKELY GIVE YOU GRIEF AND MAY REFUSE TO REPAIR YOUR 3RD PARTY SCREEN AND MAY OFFER A CHEAPER THAN NORMAL REPLACEMENT PHONE OR NOT, AS THEY DID WITH ME!!!!! I talked with Apple further and they finally agreed to replace the AX junk screen. APPLE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING UNUSUAL ABOUT THE REPAIR OTHER THAN THE PHONE HAD A 3RD PARTY SCREEN, AND THEY FIXED IT WITHOUT INCIDENT. Comments returned to BBB from AX owner basically amounted to excuses claiming the phone was bent beyond repair and accusation that I "sought to hurt (the) business with negative comments online", also claimed my comments were "derogatory". Sorry, only trying to warn others! Owner also stated "As shown in the attached picture (which was my picture posted on Yelp), it is evident the corner of the phone is not rounded in the upper left." Owner is so out to lunch he didn't even know the PHONE WAS DROPPED AND HIT THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER!! Then he later stated the phone damage was on the right corner. Owner also claimed he asked me to bring the phone in again for a fourth time which is a flat-out LIE! All I asked for was my money back since they obviously were incapable of fixing my phone! I broke the screen on my iPhone and was disappointed to find out that the insurance I carried through my provider had upped my deductible to $169.00. My experience with Apple Xchange was just short of perfect. My iPhone 5 got stuck in the mechanism of a recliner, and the glass was crushed and damaged severely. I reviewed several iPhone repair shops on Yelp and settled on The Apple Xchange - partly because of the great reviews and partly because of the Yelp coupon. I spoke to Alan who said he could fix my phone on the same day. Alan greeted me and quickly got started. They had a comfortable waiting area with a movie running. About 45 minutes later, one of the techs told me that my phone was ready. I tested the glass and there were a few dead-spots. Without hesitation, the tech apologized and retreated with my phone to the back room. 15 minutes later, he brought out my phone and it was good to go. Several weeks later, my wife's battery died on her iPhone 4s. She brought it into The Apple Xchange and they had her ready to go in 20 minutes. Giving 5 stars in spite of the screen having dead spots because it was quickly resolved. It's been a few months, and I've had no issues since. I've been coming to the Xchange for the past couple years, as they've coaxed the best out of our 2008 MacBook Pro. Alas, nothing can last forever and it was time to replace that little workhorse. Everyone we spoke with about our options was extremely knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each. They truly know Apple products inside and out. We settled on an iMac and were told that the migration of our data would be done the following day. Believe it or not, I got a call just a couple hours later that they had been able to get it done and the new machine was ready for pick up! The hubs and I went back the following day after work. Charlie handed it over, told us it was all set and to enjoy our new computer. To which I said, "We may have just a couple questions..." He quickly recognized the glazed look of abject confusion in our eyes and said, "Know what? Let's just get everything set up together while you're here." An hour and a half later - not even an exaggeration- we had covered a lot of ground (a workaround for getting some music onto the hubby's new phone, iOS update hiccups with our phones, the merits of iCloud backup vs external hard drive, covert surveillance of the kids...) and had all of our questions and needs addressed. Charlie is AMAZING, as are the rest of the staff who helped us on those two days. I will never go anywhere else for repairs, tech help, or products. I really like the Apple Xchange. I live in the Northwest Valley, but it was totally worth the trip. I had been looking on Craigslist to replace my virus infected Dell.
