Raspberries were excellent, and cantaloupes were good. If I am in the mood for a burritos, I buy a two pack from the friendly Mexican food vendor. One burrito will last for my lunch and dinner. His chips were not very salty. I liked to have them for nachos, because I use sally cheese. The goat cheese place has good goat cheese that is perfect with crackers. The flower place sells excellent arrangements that last one to two weeks. I particularly like their sunflowers. The maple syrup guy shows up about every other week. His wife makes excellent Chex mix with some maple syrup baked in. I have to buy two small containers to last me two weeks. Once I bought the large container and I ate the whole thing that day. The pie and scone friendly vendor has meat pies during the Fall and winter that are quite tasty. I get there early, because some of the vendors get crowded. I would prefer this market in an area about double the size.

Originally cited in a municipal parking lot, a few years ago it moved to the grounds of Grace Chapel, 1/2 block away from it's original location. Yesterday was my first actual visit to the market, despite being in the area since before it's inception. It's one of those "Oh, shoot, I meant to go there and check it out" places. Finally, I did and am happy for it! This is not a large market. There were maybe 10 - 12 vendors there. Five of them were local farmers, including one selling organic heirloom vegetables. It was nice having the variety, so many farmer's markets these days have more soap, cake, flower, and other vendors and few actual food growers. The other five or so stands though were a nice variety. One sold beautiful fresh flower arrangements. One was a local butcher selling chicken, beef and pork. One was a charcuterie with interesting varieties of hand made sausage and salume. There was a gelato stand, a woman who makes unbelievably good cookies and a woman selling Irish Victory Cakes. That was new to me. What the heck are Irish Victory Cakes? Tecup sized bundt cakes full of cake heaven. (They also sell larger sized victory cakes). Yes, I bought them. No, I'm not sharing. All of the stands were local, the farthest coming from South Jersey (vegetables, corn picked that day, mmmmmmmm) and Lancaster (the largest and sweetest non - Visalia sweet onion I have ever had, grilled perfection for dinner last night, folks). It's a nice place, friendly, well laid out, not too big to be overwhelming but big enough to offer a good variety. Parking is pretty easy, half the Chapel lot is reserved for visitor parking and there's also some parking on Darby and on the side streets. The market happens from 3- 7 PM every Wednesday during spring-summer-early fall. I'll definitely be back.

Usually all you need to do is call a few days prior to the market day & they will bring you a specific item. I usually request chicken backs. There is usually an artesian baker, cheese, & several local farms selling numerous in-season vegetables & flowers. At times, a knife/tool sharpening vendor, tea vendor, and several other types of vendors are here. It's close to me. The variety of items for sale & quality is great. I try not to miss a single week.

The car show gets a few hundred cars. If you want to enter your car it's $20 cash at the gate. They give you a small tin plaque and a registration card for your window. Since my car isn't winning any awards I don't stay till 3 pm to await the judges choices. My car is nice, but not prize winning nice but that's ok. It's a fun few hours. It got too hot by noon to stay longer. Weather in early May is tricky. Highly recommend checking out the car show. The general store on the grounds is huge. Bought lots of stuff to take home.

Linvilla orchards is an amazing place to bring family and kids of all ages. There's also a a market that sells freshly grown fruits, vegetables and local made goods. There's also a garden and gift shop selling a lot of the local artisan products. Lots of parking available around the main entrance area. We went early in the morning around 10am. We spent most of the first few hours walking around the zoo that had a huge chicken range, duck pond, cow, goats, sheep and horses. There are vending machine to buy corns to feed the animals. We had to get our own quarters as the coin exchange machine was broken. Around the noon we head to the Linvilla Grill. They had some good pizza and chicken tenders. There were few outdoor benched to dine. Price was little steep. The freshly squeezed lemonade was outrageous. They make the whole thing by grinding lemon right in front and put it in a huge plastic 32 oz jar. It is so worth for $8. We also bought some peaches and cooking sauces from the market. Cash is preferred, for credit card they charge fee at the market checkout.
