Palmetto Olive Oil and Roots next door we're hosting a event sale together a couple weeks ago…read more Great concept because as a plant addict I came for the plants yet wanted to check out what was going on next door. The place itself is beautiful. Large, shiny, silver canisters line the walls filled with olive oils and vinegars. We were quickly greeted and offered a small tray of bread to use to sample the goods. Every flavor was incredible! From classic to citrus to chocolate, the options are mind blowing. I didn't know it was possible to create an oil and vinegar with these flavors. The event continued with the owner showcasing recipes like grilled cheese, bruschetta, and brownies cooked with blood orange olive oil, loved it! I picked up a jar of Peruvian lime olive oil and have cooked at home with it on fish and Brussels sprouts, it's great! Be sure to ask the owner about her quality of olive oil. It's amazing to learn about the grocery store items vs what you can get here. Can't wait to get a vinegar next time!

A large selection of oils and vinegars with amazing fresh flavors! They make great gift baskets or just help you pick the perfect oil or vinegar to use for dinner! Trying a new recipe tonight for roasted vegetables! If it isn't delicious it will be my lack of skills, not their lack of help!!! They also sell cute serving pieces and tea towels.

We stumbled upon this wonderful shop while walking around historic Dahlonega square. The store…read moreassociate was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We let her know our preferences and what types of food we cook, and she made great suggestions. We sampled several oils and vinegars and decided on the following: Honey ginger white balsamic vinegar Toasted sesame oil (specialty oil) Black truffle oil (specialty oil) We also purchased a few bottle pour spouts to go with the oils. We've used the oils many times and love all of them! The oils and vinegar are great for stir fry, fish, salads, and more. We try to incorporate them in as many dishes as we can. Fortunately for us, most of their oils and vinegars are available for purchase and shipping on their site for when we run out!

Honestly, I walked into this store just off of Main St because I was curious about what different…read moreolive oils and balsamic vinegars tasted like. This store is very clean. The employee and few customers that were there when I was in the store all wore facemasks. The friendly employee was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting some olive oils and balsamic vinegars after I let her know what kinds of flavors I preferred (hot, sweet, sour, etc.), and foods that I enjoy. I sampled a couple of balsamic vinegars, but didn't really care for any of them. I guess it's because they had strong flavors and I really need to taste them with foods, but I didn't want to buy some vinegars and find out that the flavors overpowered the food. The olive oils were different, though. I sampled about seven different olive oils - fruity, spicy, herb-y, etc., and I thought most of them were flavors that I could get into. I ended up buying two bottles: one bottle of wild anithos dill infused olive oil, and one bottle of Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil. I add just a little of the chile pepper olive oil to the ramen that I make at home. The Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil adds a hot spicy kick to anything it's added to. The wild anithos dill infused olive oil goes great with roasted potatoes or baked salmon. The dill flavor also goes a long way. I tend to like strong and bold flavors, but there are also olive oils that are a little more subtle. When you've selected the balsamic vinegar or olive oil you'd like to buy, the employee will fill a bottle right there in front of you from the big containers. The bottles are preprinted with the appropriate balsamic vinegar or olive oil name, so you won't get confused as to what's in the bottle. The employee will seal the bottle, so it's perfect for gift giving. I saw other flavors that I'd like to try the next time I'm in Dahlonega. I know I will buy more in the future. Oh ... they also sell their products online, too.
