Ski Cooper reminded me a lot of Sunlight Mountain, which is one of my favorite local ski areas…read more Both mountains have that laid-back, welcoming vibe that's getting harder to find at larger resorts. What really stood out at Ski Cooper was the people. The associates were extremely friendly and made you feel like family -- the kind of place where it feels like they've known you for years, not minutes. That atmosphere alone makes you want to come back. The prices were also extremely reasonable, from lift tickets to food, which is a big plus compared to the big-name resorts. The slopes are well maintained and accurately rated, making it a great mountain for skiers who want solid terrain without the chaos or long lift lines. The only downside during my visit was the snow conditions -- coverage wasn't ideal at the time -- but even with that, the overall experience was still very enjoyable. If you love Sunlight and appreciate friendly staff, fair pricing, and a true community feel, Ski Cooper is absolutely worth visiting.

My first time in Aspen last week…read more Probably one of the nicest ski towns I have seen. Takes a bit of work to drive there. Vail is just off the 70, Aspen is 40+ miles off the 70. They have hiking, parks, food stores, and some very good restaurants and resorts. Population base is smart and sharp. You have to in order to survive in such a privileged expensive community. Downtown has flagship stores for a few of the high end designers and outdoor companies. There are Bears, but we were told that they don't bother you unless you are dining outside and don't invite them to dinner. I would return again.

We were just visiting Aspen so will not be able to work with her directly, but we discussed our general concept and she gave us some terrific ideas for how to proceed with our residential project. She also has some special enviro certifivation, LEAD, I think it is called. So she was really able to get into discussing our interests in passive solar and low environmental impact design. This is our first time experiencing Aspen Dirtbike School. It was also our son, Ryder's first time…read moreever riding a motorbike. He is 8 years old and was a little timid and anxious, but worked through his lesson with Bryce. Bryce was such a wonderful instructor! He was incredibly patient, kind, and very communicative with his encouragement and knowledge to help Ryder learn this new sport. Ryder said "This is the best day ever!" They took water/snack breaks in between laps. By the end of those laps Ryder rode the jumps with confidence. He can't wait to do it again! We HIGHLY recommend this place and Bryce!! Thank you Bryce for helping Ryder gain the confidence he needed to push himself.
