I love both Bagel Bean cafes as they both serve exactly the same great food and coffee. Superbly scrumptious bagels and salads. They have a huge menu listing every bagel you could possibly think of. I especially love the Vegetarian Selection on the menu, with the Napoli Melt being my absolute favourite. I prefer this cafe on Market Street as I think it has a better layout. Plus it has a great outside seated area for summer time relaxing and there are more interesting 'people watching' opportunities on the busier Market Street. There's also an awning too, so you can sit outside even if the weather is not so great. Unfortunately the other Bagel Bean on Lower English Street doesn't have such a luxury. I would highly recommend Bagel Bean as it serves the best bagels I have ever tasted. You can also get takeaway from both Bagel Beans which is good as they're such busy cafes, hence getting a table can sometimes prove difficult. This cafe is one of my favourite places in Armagh for food. Bring a book, have a bagel, drink great coffee and relax whilst watching the world pass by. My idea of heaven!

Being a creature of habit, aren't we all?, I always opt for a plain bagel with cream cheese and smoked bacon....mmmmm... ....mmmmm. They really know hoe to get it right here! Plus, at the bargain price of only £2.80, its a pretty impressive and filling lunch! The cafe is proper tiny, so my fave option is to go around the corner and sit admiring the view of St Anne's Cathedral! Weather permitting of course! Don't miss out on this lovely place! And if you're not a big bagel fan (no judgement) they do offer wraps and other light bites too!

Bagels are kind of new for me, I would never of had them growing up. I feel like they are maybe an american craze as they are just savory donuts. I wonder if they would ever make bagels with chocolate sprinkles or with jam in the middle...I'm not sure if I like where this is going!!! The customer service in this shop could be better but the food is almost too good to worry about any other negativities. I have been to a couple of parties too where they were catering. Let me say I was Bagel bagel, Yes please!!! don't mind if I do, also you would mind if I had a bite of yours too???

It has just opened up so it isn't as busy as you would expect for a crackin wee cafe in the middle of a studenty area. The prices here are pretty standard. You will pick up coffee and a sandwich for about £5 or £6, which is what you would expect in this part of town. The service was excellent the time I was in. It wasn't that busy so they took the time and extra care with my order that I really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend this place, just don't expect it to be too banging.

But one thing is for sure The Garden café is cashing in on their love for the dark stuff, coffee not Guinness. I went in today and instead of the packed coffee shop I expected to find I instead entered a morgue with one pensioner pushing around a sausage on his plate while watching that cheap David Dickenson replacement on Bargain Hunt. It was super quiet, the staff were txting and enjoying the antiques on TV. But this meant I was able to get a coffee and go. I did just that, I had planned to stick around and kill some time while waiting for a train but I decided the platform was more exciting than this place. On the plus side a large coffee to go was only £1.70 and I was sipping it all the way to Bangor while trying to look sophisticated while passing through Cultra. The service was good too, despite their boredom the staff were attentive and I got served in a flash. I just wonder what is going wrong in the Garden Café?

After years of going in that has changed for the first time. As with everything these days the prices have crept up, especially in terms of the lunch specials. OK, that's to be expected these days. But there a 'meal deal' in there now for £12 or so! Not long ago that was a basic restaurant price, the specials are now around the £5 mark and gone is the awesome £3. I could live with that, but I got the club sandwich. It was tiny and bland.... With a club you expect the double layers... not in this case... just the 2 rounds of bread, and they were very poorly filled at that. I'll definitely be back... I won't give up on a stalwart like this after 1 bad experience... but with the hike in prices there needs to be an understanding there be a hike... and certainly not a drop, in delivery!

As eluded to Arthur's is in a really handy location beside Montgomery Street Car park and only a short dander from Victoria Square.s iWith loads of neighboring offices I suspect Arthur's is rammed in the morning and at lunch time but luckily for me I visited around 2:30pm and there were only a few other customers. As soon as I walked in I was asked 'what I would like?' and to be honest I hadn't even worked that out in my head yet so I just blurted out Americanno! I like the prompt sty;e of the staff in here - no messing about - gimmie your order! The coffee was great - very strong which is just what I needed before a meeting. I even got myself a wee pecan slice as there was a lonely one left in a basket just staring at me at the counter. So I had to, you know yourself! Anyway, it's a big old thumbs up from me for Arthur's and who knows it might even get that extra star when I sit in!

I hadn't realised it had changed name until I was inside and I was really impressed to find that their new menu included early morning Irish breakfasts, Italian coffees and still a Chinese at lunch and evening times. This is certainly a first for me and good for them. It's likely needs must as times are tough for many businesses and undoubtedly things will get much more difficult. So it was a lemon chicken and boiled rice for me (£6.80). If it's done right it can be very good and it was fairly good here - with the chicken breast flattened, seasoned, dipped in a light batter and fried so it's not pre prepared. It needs to be eaten quickly as the batter goes soft quite quickly. The batter is thin so usually it's a 90% chicken dish. I enjoyed the meal. It's once in a blue moon for me. It's cheap food and simple to do well. The lemon sauce was also simple: Robinson's lemon barley water, diluted, boiled and thickened with potato starch and a few slices of fresh lemon tossed in at the end. Orange chicken is made similarly with orange barley water and sliced orange. Chinese restaurants do a lot of advance preparation to allow them to serve meals super fast: sweet & sour, flour based curry, flour based gravy, Peking with fried and boiled rice kept warm in steamers. Pre battered chicken pieces are used for sweet & sour, salted chilli, sweet chilli but not usually lemon chicken as the batter is different. The pre battered chicken can be up to and over 50% batter that could literally sit in a sauce for hours and not become limp or soft. I had noticed that many Chinese takeaways in town had started using the pre battered 'hard' chicken pieces for lemon chicken and for me it's unacceptable.
