The schools host of the event, added the tip out of her own good will and when accounting called the business for a refund, they fired an employee because the employee couldn't pay it back! What a fun place to hang out before a game. The people we were with knew our server, so it was definitely great service. The atmosphere is buzzy with activity, with the two teams regalia, worn by fans. Everyone was super nice and all our interactions with servers, patrons was great. Food was pretty amazing too. The Bar should be called "The Huge Bar!" It is a sports bar in every context possible; giant screens all around showing lots of games, darts, billiards, and even indoor pickleball courts. It is directly across from Lambeau Field, so naturally they cater to Packer fans. There is a large physical bar right in the center, surrounded by an abundance of high tops. They also have a patio outside; but no one was sitting outside on a chilly November day. I was surprised The Bar wasn't too busy on Friday after Thanksgiving. There were empty tables all around. Servers were a little hard to flag down; so it's a good thing they weren't busier. We were a party of 4 tourists who came to drink and watch football. We ordered a few appetizers to share. The giant pretzel appetizer actually came with 2 hot, doughy pretzels and 2 tubs of cheese sauce. The pretzels were really delicious; however the cheese sauce was extremely salty. The homemade potato chips were also a huge serving and very crunchy; but very salty as well. We had 2 orders of wings, mango habanero and 3 Alarm/garlic Parmesan. They were both very good; just not as hot as the name implied. (3 Alarm was more like medium.). As sports bars with "bar food" go; The Bar is a pretty good option. It's a good place to watch the games, enjoy some cold beers, and eat. They did have an extensive menu so if I ever return, I might try some different food options. read more

Went to watch the Iowa South Carolina women's basketball game. Plenty of seating and superb service. We had Tracy. Started with the big pretzel accompanied with cheese sauce and mustard. Two medium sized pretzels nicely prepared and steaming hot. Followed with the chicken craisen salad. Plenty to share with wifey. That took us to half time. Then the problem. Ordered the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. Took my first bite of the sandwich and I could not even bite thru the meat. I mean it. Corned beef was a slab about 1/2 thick and tough like gristle. Sent it back to the kitchen, but totally turned me off. Manager came to the table and offered to comp the sandwich. I'd had enough. Should have comp the whole meal. Game was close to over. Left with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The Bar in Green Bay is like Lambeau Field's little brother who decided to focus on beer and wings instead of touchdowns. It's a magical place where Green Bay Packers fans gather to eat, drink, and scream at giant TVs as if Aaron Rodgers can actually hear them. Ya dummies, he's at the Jets now.... Anywhoooo... The wings are solid--you'll probably dream about them later, or maybe that's just the beer talking. Speaking of beer, they have enough options to make you question if you've been living under a rock. The service? Let's just say the staff could probably out-hustle most NFL defenses, and they do it with a smile (even when you're four drinks deep and trying to order a 'spaghetti burger'). Usually when me and my boyfriend order from here they do amazing customer services. We had placed an order pick-up for some food. When we got there my boyfriend went to pick up the food at the bar area. When he got there 2 boys were being racist. They had told him that they don't serve "Asians" and that someone needs to go help that " chink" While they stood around and did nothing. Someone who got there after my boyfriend got their food first and the two workers completely ignored my boyfriend. In Green Bay this weekend for the Rams game Monday night. I was here July 2021 and didn't stop by here then so decided to stop in for lunch. The bar is nice and has views of all the games. I couldn't imagine how packed this place gets on game days with there being a totally separate room for partying. I got the CBLT which comes with your choice of fries (multiple ways), coleslaw, or side salad. It was really nice to see they had options for gluten free buns which I did get. It seems they take in account for this with celiac disease. I'm just intolerant to it and I didn't feel sick or get bloated after my meal which was great. Overall a very decent experience with the only criticism being that the bartender wasn't very attentive. read more

The food was fine, but I did not get my bill until after I paid and found out that I paid for premium liqueur, when I specifically asked for well. I also ordered a whiskey on the rocks and got charged $1.00 for my ice! Lastly, I paid cash and was still charged the 3% credit card fee. When I asked to speak to a manager- they had just left. Went to watch NCAA tournament games, get food and drinks. The TVs were great. We provided a card to run a tab but said we wanted to pay cash when done and they said we could pay however we wanted when we check out but ran the card. Bartender voided it and we paid cash. Then I found out the next day that there were two charges each over $5 on my card. Also when looking at the receipt we were charged for doubles on our drinks and they were definitely not. We asked and they told us they do doubles unless you ask otherwise. They also charged an extra fee of several dollars for restaurant service. What is that? The food was not great. I've always liked it there in the past but won't be returning. I felt they were very shady and I was really disappointed. read more

This is my first visit to this "The Bar" location. It was remodeled in 2021. The location is 3 blocks from Lambeau Field. I came here specifically for the classic wings, "since 1988". The drink order and appetizers came very quickly. There is draft and bottled beer. My gin and tonic was good. Wings - The wings were very good. I sampled several flavors and they were all very good. I would like to highlight the BBQ, Honey BBQ, and the Thai. The wings were cooked perfectly and the wing size was above average. Our server "V", was quick and very pleasant thank you. I recommend The Bar for their wings. The patio is large and enjoyable. I will return! read more

We ordered the wings and a salad. They forgot my celery with the wings which was 1.50$ extra and added a scant bit of dressing to the salad. Now the amount of dressing isn't a big deal except for the fact that it was the wrong dressing. We asked for more of the correct dressing which we got without an apology. Also, there was hardly any chicken on the salad. This is not an exaggeration, it was barely there. The bar was clean and pleasant. The wings were also tiny, all of them, but very delicious! They added additional dry rubs from the last time I was there which was a great idea. We had a good time minus both orders being wrong/incomplete. Since there was no apology and both orders were screwed up we will not go back to this location. For bigger better wings I will go to Legend Larry's even though they don't have a dry rub. Summary: food is mediocre, service sporadic at best, prices too high for what you get. Food: ordered the BBQ pit burger. Pork was dry, there was hardly any sauce and while the picture shows an inch thick layer of Cole slaw, the burger came with about 20 individual cabbage pieces scattered on the burger. There was so little I had to pry open the burger to locate any. Bland at best, and not worth the $13.99(!) it costs with burnt chips. Service: rushed, inattentive and impersonal...when you could get it. We watched several couples leave after waiting 15 minutes or more without service. Another got talked into staying, ordered food, and then was still waiting for it when we left nearly 30 minutes later. An uber eats Driver waited about 45 minutes for their order. Meanwhile others came in and were served immediately. There were minor apology attempts but it was very obvious it was rote and not meant with any sincerity. Our server took our order and disappeared for 45+ minutes. Never even offered us drink refills. Oh, and did I mention it was Veterans Day and they were running a special, so the place had tons of us in there? Respect? Not so much. Prices: Very high for what you get (see above). $3.50 for a Coke! Verdict: avoid at all costs. Burger King is better. read more

Highlights: - Either $25 or $45 for all you can eat and drinks. - For the higher price you get liquor drinks (anything behind the bar) in addition to beer/cider and access to an area upstairs with its own bar and restrooms as well as the addition of pulled pork and wings tacked on to the standard buffet of burger and brats. - Pulled pork: solid even from my Carolina hub's standard and 2 choices of bbq sauce. - 2 servers at the small upstairs bar so didn't have to wait too long to order. - Big area downstairs with lots of tvs. Few tables and couches and tvs upstairs. Midlights: - All inside which was great cause it was cold outside but just like a normal bar atmosphere vs special stuff for game day. Lowlights: - Bit confusing about where to go. We went to The Bar parking lot and presented our tickets and she said "what is that for?" Apparently the tented tailgate was run by another company and you had to go inside for our wristbands. Decent wings, smaller though than most other wing joints. Quiet during lunch hour, used to be a very popular lunch destination. Lots of tv's to watch sports. Daily specials (50 cent wings Sunday- Tuesday). My bill was just over $10 and I put down a $20. Server asked if I wanted any change back! Terrible experience. Have lived out of state for 4 years and came back for a weekend Packer game. Saw they renovated and decided to see if the service has improved and stopped in on a Friday night. Wasn't terribly packed. Was quickly served a drink, sat for 30-45 minutes trying to get a servers attention for food and could not. Had to yell for the check. They had plenty of servers, but there was no organization behind the bar. At times nobody was behind the bar...all servers scurrying about in the dining room or kitchen. read more

Disappointed The Bar on Holmgren is typically one of my family's favorites for take out/delivery. The website defaults to 70 minute delivery time but I haven't seen it go beyond 30 in the last 6 or 7 orders. However, we placed an order yesterday for 3 main courses last night and were somewhat disappointed at the 1 1/2 hour it took for our food. Understanding the recent labor shortages, I would overlook the delay if the order would have been correct. The burrito was soggy and cold, to the point it needed to be microwaved to eat. The wings were tasty, but we did not get the entire order and were shorted. They were also cold, but tolerable in wings. The wrap was soggy as well. I write this review out of disappointment hoping they get back to the great food we were use to. read more

My friends and I (all seniors) liked meeting there for lunch. We liked the food; for me it's the wings and fries. we also love the funnel cake fries for desert. but now they've moved the entrance and the handicap parking places that we need are not near the entrance. Those of us who use canes and walkers would have a hard time, especially in winter. Ice and snow would make it unsafe for us. so we won't be going there any more; Unless they put a couple handicap spots near the door. I guess our business is not important to them anymore. read more

This place might have good food but their tactics on Packer game days are absolutely disgusting! I work for one of the local hotels and they come through every 30 minutes or less trying to solicit our customers and take them to their bar. We have a bar at our establishment, there is Uber, Lyft, and the city bus runs to the stadium. No need for them to constantly drive through. If people want to go to The Bar they will go there on their own or call for their "free shuttle". No need for them to keep driving slowly through all the other businesses parking lots taking their customers. They also like to have a coffee clutch in the parking lot preventing traffic from flowing. If you like tacky and annoying this must be the place to go. read more

"The Bar" is a Fox Valley offering with multiple locations. It's pretty standard sports bar type food. Respectible chicken wings that you can order in a multitude of spiciness. Decent burgers, slightly on the higher end of what one should pay for bar food but it is a solid burger. This particular location gets extra points for being a block from Lambeau Field. If your in the area because of the Green Bay Packers this is a convenient stop for a bite to eat. Same as all of the surrounding establishments the atmosphere on "game day" is hectic but also a fun crazy time. Great place to watch any of your favorite sporting events on tv while grabbing a snack. read more
