The one behind the desk was my stylist. She was great. I wish I remembered her name. I went with a straight cut, with bangs. Layers gave me too many problems. And bangs well looking at my forehead or so long every time it was up, which was all the time. Made me want bangs. Glad I did it. The stylist was awesome. Very calming. I believe I had eight inches taken off. In other words I love my hair cut!

The result is so overly warm, it looks dark orange. I was told it would just be a toner and would wash out, but that hasn't happened. Instead of a refreshed balayage, my hair now looks completely different--darker, dull, and way overly brassy. This is not what I asked for, and it has ruined the dimensional color I had. I look sickly with this orange hair and the only option I have is either to bleach my hair again and damage it or darken it to a dark brown with no dimension. Either way I'll be waiting months to a year to start over and get the look I've been working towards. With this, they are not apologetic and don't take accountability. Don't go here!!

On a local FB group a lot of people recommended Manzer hair. So I went on their website and requested an appt. They got back to me pretty quickly and offered me some times. I ended up with a spot for the following week with Alyssa. The experience in the salon was really great. They have hand sanitizer right as you get in the door. They have a mask of their own which they give to you to wear. They also have a convenience kit if you want it which has plastic gloves and a hand wipe etc. Alyssa was wearing a full mask, so it was really good to see that they were taking their protection seriously. We had a good chat about what I was looking for in a haircut since it was my first time with them. And I was lucky enough to go the week that they had started washing hair before cuts. I have rather thick hair and they had been doing them dry up till that point and just spritzing them down with water. So she gave me a really nice shampoo and got me settled in the chair and did my cut. They do not dry your hair at present. But I got home and I dried it myself and I was very happy with the cut. It's been a few weeks actually (I'm slow writing this review LOL). But I'm still very happy with my cut. Alyssa was very pleasant to talk to and just really did a nice job - I would totally recommend her. They also did a great job keeping everything clean for theirs and your protection. So do you recommend and check it out. They are located just west of Woodbine/Danforth. Also, if you are looking for cloth masks, you can buy both adult and children size there.
