Do not use this service. What is shipped out is different to what you order. Bad customer service.

I enjoy keeping my cubicle looking like a $2 shop threw up all over it. If there's a holiday, I…read morehave decorations. Its not unusual for someone to come around the corner and find me up on the desk hanging one thing or another from the ceiling, or casually blowing up balloons and hiding them under my desk as I go about the rest of my work. Sydney Party Decorations first opened up during the lead up to Christmas last year. It was a large underground hall filled with everything beautiful, tacky, and Christmas, and I bought it all. My cubicle looked amazing. I thought that the shop was specialized and would close down after the holiday, but to my delight it has remained open and just as full of other glorious finds. There's heaps of costumes, wigs, gift bags, wrapping, balloons and decorations in a range of themes, and rotating holiday items as appropriate (I took Easter to a new level this year thanks to SPD). I find SPD has a broader range than the other nearby $2 shops and is definitely worth a visit if you need to spruce up your cubicle or grab an unbranded Guy Fieri (or "celebrity chef") wig.

I am giving this a 1 star based on the fact that they overcharged me for balloons. They charged me…read morefor "treatment" for the balloons so that the balloons will last a couple of days instead of one, this is despite the fact that I had declined it several times. Even worse, they did not do the treatment even though they added the $2 extra for each balloon. First of all, they charge more for the helium than for the balloon itself which is fine. supply and demand. It was $2 per little balloon and then more money for the treatment. I also got the big number balloons and those came out to about $15 each. Those actually lasted 3 days for it was $7 for helium so I would hope that it last 3 days. The regular balloons lasted one night. The store itself was fine, had a great selection of fun party items. Just beware of the hidden charges and check your receipt.

When I asked for a refund, initially they did not answer my calls. I then messaged them and they said their lawyer would refund me. Why ? No idea! Then silence! Nothing. Over 6 weeks and still nothing. What is wrong with people that they can get away with this rubbish!!!

As a result of this massive dent in my ego, I had to ditch about 60% of my material for the show I had the night after. The plan was to keep the same jokes, it takes me a long time to learn all my lines for a gig, but now, the whole routine had to change, and I only had one afternoon. I went into the Balloon shop on Mitchell Road in the hopes that they could sell me a scroll that I could write my jokes on, thus keeping in character (A Victorian Era Prince) and have something that I could refer to in times of memory blanks. I walked into the unmissable building, (Unmissable due to the fact that it's painted bright blue) the place is full of costumes, plastic table clothes, novelty toys and party supplies, and by the name alone, I deduce that it deals in balloons as well. When I entered, it took a while for the lady to come out of the back room, but when she did, she was extremely helpful, and took it upon herself to figure out what I needed and how she could help me obtain it. Unfortunately, she couldn't, but points for trying.
